Perfect location close to metro, trains, etc. And a vibrant neighborhood. Around the corner is a long one block pedestrian friendly street with fresh fruit and veggie stalls, fishmonger, delis, meat markets, pastry and bakery, cafés, ethnic restaurants, and a large variety of other shops. A lively street on weekends and especially in the evenings. A nice place to have a drink or a meal, and people watch. There are bicycles available to use , no charge.

Everything was wonderful. Basic comfort, but everything very clean and that's what matters the most. Yes, the shower does get a bit watery, but it's not unbearable - take beach slippers and it's ok. Good breakfast, plenty, excellent service. I read the other reviews and I would like to make some clarifications: 1. it's French breakfast, no, it doesn't have sausage, eggs and beans! But it's BREAKFAST, not lunch or dinner. 2. Many people said there's no elevator. Do you need glasses to see an elevator? There is an elevator up to the 6th floor, it's big, clean, modern. Very good location, wonderful staff.

The location. It’s very convenient, bear the train station. The neighborhood is very clean. The main reason why I choose the place was it’s also near gare montparnasse where I’m gonna leave for my next destination. My non-french friends kept warning me how Paris could be dirty 😆😆 but I found the opposite. Paris is so clean. The room was bigger than I thought too. The brf is comfy enough and the room is generally clean. Moreover, they let me put my piece of luggage there for one night, which I felt very thankful. I would come back to the place next time I’m in Paris.

The breakfast. No fruit. would rather have an apple or orange than a piece of bread with butter and jam. When I first arrive, the bathroom does smell a little bit but it went away 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was my 4th time in Paris and this hotel exceeded every hotel previously. The hotel let me check in early room was ready, clean and everything was up to standard. room was cleaned daily and breakfast in the lobby was immaculate. Every morning we were greeted with smiling faces, fresh croissant and bread and cappucino or cafe au lait whatever we wanted. The location is impeccable i would stay here again and again. Close to transportation and metro, such a safe area and very walkable. Thank you Solar Hotel i will recommend you to everyone !!

- Great place for a short stay, quick access to public transport (bus, metro, train) - Staff are really friendly and helpful, they also accommodate guests who speak English - The breakfast provided was great, just what we needed to start the day properly. They serve croissants and bread with butter and jam, and you can also choose to have some coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and yogurt - The beds are comfortable and there wasn't much noise from outside, so we were able to rest properly - The room was cleaned and bed was done every day (would've appreciated if the kettle was also cleaned) - Elevator is available for easy access to upper floors - Reception is available 24/7, which is very useful as we had to check out early to catch a flight in the morning

- Check-in starts at 14:00, we arrived almost an hour after that time and the room still wasn't ready, but at least we were allowed to leave our luggage there as we had to head out for a reservation - Bathroom is tiny and the shower has no threshold, meaning that water gets everywhere on the floor and it's not very hygienic - Bad smell coming from bathroom's shower drain - The kettle in our room was full of limescale, I tried to clean it myself but it needs to be scrubbed properly - The décor could've been better, the room looks really bland - There is no "Do not disturb" sign, would've been useful to let staff know when it is ok to clean our room or leave it

The women who work in the breakfast room are lovely. The hotel is very close to Denfert Rochereau station so it’s easy to and from the airport. Also it’s within walking distance of Gare Montparnasse. And the hotel is also very close to a lovely street (Rue Daguerre), full of restaurants and bakeries and shops. Great location.

An odd noise at night was disturbing—something to do with air circulation. The hotel has a second property right on Rue Daguerre, no lift, and you have to go to the other hotel for breakfast (a minute’s walk). You may not know until you get there which one your room is in, so I was quite surprised, but it works out fine.

The room was decent, quite, with a window on the road that you can open, the personel was very polite and helpful. The breakfast included baguette and delicious croissant with Butter and jam. Very close to metro station, in 15 minutes you are in quartie latin. Nice and safe area with a local market. You can have free rides with bicycle

The shower was too small and the water was all around the floor. The breakfast could included some cheese and ham or some fruit.

The hotel is located in a good area which is safe. The room was clean. The staff was kind and willing to serve us. The room does not have a refrigerator, but I had to have some medicine refrigerated, I made a special request and they had a refrigerator in the room. I thank them very much. I have been to Paris 5 times and finally found my own hotel. Thanks again and in return.

On the downside, maybe they should put some salty flavors in the breakfast.

The hotel is wonderful. A charming eco-sustainable little hotel in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood with lots of shops, restaurants, market stalls in nearby rue Daguerre. Friendly and helpful staff. Good continental breakfast in a lovely little breakfast room overlooking a peaceful garden. What a great way to start the day. Well connected by public transport to wherever you want to go in Paris. Excellent for arrivals from Orly. The room is rather basic, but it has everything you need. The bed was comfortable.

The only fault I can find is the walk-in shower. The management should find a way to prevent the water from potentially flooding the bathroom.

The staff was pretty cordial and helpful. The hotel has an amazing location in Paris downtown, close to many Metro and Rail lines, as well as many restaurants and bars. The room and cleanliness was ok. And the breakfast was nice. At the end, we paid a fair price for a well-located and reasonably comfortable hotel.

The air-conditioning was not working well and that can be a problem during Paris summer. Fortunately, the only night we stayed wasn't so hot. Also, the shower had a very weak flux of water. We barely managed to take a good bath.
