For a two star hotel, the Hotel de Venise hits way above the mark. My room was small but quiet and very comfortable, especially the bed. The neighborhood was great, a little off the beaten track but I like that! The hotel is off a circle with a lovely park with fountain with restaurants all around and the wonderful Coulee Verte is very nearby. Gare de Lyon is also within easy walking distance. The staff are wonderful. When my flight home was cancelled, they were very kind and let me sit in a quiet room off the lobby to make plans and do some work.

I was completely happy with my stay.

Probably the most friendly hotels I've stayed in, the staff were very welcoming, efficient, friendly, chatty and helpful, both my wife and I remarked on how nice it was. I met three of the staff and it was almost as if they were from the same family. The hotel is well situated with plenty of good bakeries, restaurants and transport close by. It's a relatively quiet street so not noisy which is a plus in Paris. I've lived in Paris for 6 years so know it well, we now live in Marseille so chose this because it was close to Gare de Lyon. The internet was high-speed and good quality, a great bonus. We will definitely be staying here again.

The room as a little small but it was clean and otherwise perfect.

The staff was very receptive, welcoming, helping in many things (location, information, guidance, etc.) and they could arrange for me and my family another comfortable room with extra bed inside. The location of the Hotel is very strategic, next to metro station, many shops, restaurants, centres, etc. few steps next to it.

What could have been better is to have a small canteen or lobby to take a coffee inside the Hotel but this is not important because opposite to the hotel there is a cafe restaurant where someone can drink and eat .

The gentleman who assisted us at check in and check out was very kind and attentive to help us with everything. The rooms were clean, the sheets, the towels, the smell of the room was pleasant, it had a window facing the street with a nice view and the possibility of fresh air. The pillows and the bed were very comfortable. Close to restaurants, metro station, Gare de Lyon station and supermarket

I would put a lighter blanket, despite being in autumn, we had a very thick blanket that made us very hot for the time, put a sheet, for those who do not like the blanket. The air conditioning was not very strong, so we opened the window.

Typical Parisian hotel I am led to believe. Somewhere to sleep, clean, close to the Gare de Lyon - ticked all those boxes. No complaints at all, although the walls could be a bit thicker - luckily the guest in the next door room had their alarm set for about the same time as ours! The breakfast was fine, if a little limited, and gluten free bread was available on request. All in all: recommended.

Very little, although the lift was very small (understandable given the age/design of the building) and thus usually full (two people with bags was about the maximum) at peak times.

Staff are very friendly! Room is clean! Everything in the room is comfortable and convenient.

I got Room Number 30 which is next to the entrance. It didn't have a view on the street. It does have a outdoor room next to it for smoking but it's very hot due to AC. So I felt that I didn't get a good room with a view. Also the room is dependent on AC does not have natural ventilation. I'm not sure if this is because of the condition of my room or is it in general in the hotel.

Spent a wonderful weekend in Paris with my 18 year old daughter. Great location, about 6-8 minutes walk from Gare de Lyon, bus stops and métro M1. Very convenaient to explore Paris and do all the touriste things. The room was very small, but then if the whole point is to explore Paris and stay in the room only to sleep, then no bother at all! It was clean, warm, then no bed was comfortable and the bathroom was new and modern. What more can one want. Only downside, the wifi was not great.

WiFi was not great, but then we hardly stayed in for it to bother us.

The structure has been gently available to our (online) request to have a room with balcony. The position of the structure is very good, very well connected to the yellow underground line (the most touristic one) with the Reuilly – Diderot station. We never tried the hotel's breakfast, but across the road there is a good boulangerie (Maison Landemaine Crozatier) and some others café and restaurants for every kind of meal.

The sleeping room is very small (but the bathroom is normal size for a citizen hotel). The room in not much sound insulated and sometimes you can listen a voice in the corridor or in the room next door. But still it's not a big problem, you'll sleep well (especially after an hard day of working in Paris!).

Nice small hotel in the 12th Arr. Friendly front of desk staff, small elevator to get to floor. Room is compact but clean and tidy. No tea/ coffee facilities, so room is very basic. Some room noise from next door audible. More relaxed part of Paris to stay in, with plenty of eateries and small shops nearby.

Would have been nice to have basic tea/ coffee. But the cleanliness of the room outweighs the down side.

Great hotel! Wonderful front desk staff. Room and bathroom are small but comfortable. The bathroom was renovated recently. We had a room with a balcony and it was such a parisian experience :) Small but delightful. Lovely neighborhood. Close to train and metro stations. Last but not least - the bed! It was so comfortable. Perhaps even better than the one at my apartment. I slept like a baby.

The rubber seals in the shower could use a better cleaning. Other be exchanged.
