The room was very clean and comfortable, and the gifts of water, macarons and little Eiffel Towers was a welcome greeting after a long journey.

The hotel hires drivers to take guests to the airport - we were led to believe it was a taxi, when it wasn't. Taxis are allowed to drive in dedicated lanes, but our driver could not, so our trip to the airport took far longer than it should have. My suggestion is to always use a taxi when ferrying clients to CDG and not a private driving service.

I loved the amazing decor which continued into the room which, although small, contained a closet, safe, fridge and writing desk!. The staff - from my first moment in the hotel with Annie - were very welcoming and caring. It was raining so, of course, I was loaned an umbrella. The breakfast spread was perfect and it was always yummy. My cute single had a bathroom featuring a huge shower and was just down a flight of stairs. There were windows on both floors which opened into an inner courtyard. The room was super quiet - no street noise at all. I was given a small kettle so that I could make tea in my room. I was unsure about booking a third night and the hotel was very flexible in letting me cancel at lunchtime.

I was disappointed on the first morning that the shower was not hot enough but it was rectified right away. The internet in my room could have had better signal.

The staff were extremely friendly and kind, they helped me with getting around Paris and identifying great places to eat. The location is also fantastic, so close to the Louvre and walkable to many locations from there.

There is no counter space in the bathrooms which makes it difficult to effectively wash your face/teeth. I also ended up having to replace my toothbrush after a dirty sponge was left resting against it after room servicing one day.

The location was excellent, being very close to major attractions like the Louvre, the River Seine, the Opera, and a nearby park. The bedding was also very soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. I appreciated the fact that the window could be opened fully, which is not something we typically experience in the UK.

The room was quite small, although it managed to serve its purpose. Additionally, when we arrived for breakfast, we felt a bit of a weird atmosphere from other guests, which was a little uncomfortable. It’s a very affluent area, and it seemed like they weren’t used to seeing many Black people around, unless working as hotel staff or serving them…

The location is great. The staff are friendly. However, when I asked the reception staff to order a taxi for me to take me to Gare du Nord, he called BOLT instead. So instead of Euro 14, which was the fare I paid from Gare du Nord to the hotel, I had to pay Euro 40 which is nearly 3 times,es of taxi fare. My friend also asked them to call a taxi, and they called a taxi for him. He paid Euro 16 for the trip. So, I am a bit upset why they called Bolt for me even I specifically asked for a taxi. So , make sure they do call a taxi for you and not a car service.

The rooms are quite small but that’s usually the case with 3 star hotels in Paris.

My bed (room 46) and pillows were really comfortable, very firm mattress and very firm pillow which I like. The day staff were friendly and helpful. The room is a really good size for Paris, plenty of room for two people, but note there is only one chair in the room. Brilliant location - walking distance to the Louvre, Gallery Lafayette, Orangerie museum, Place Vendome etc. It was a great location to see many of the Christmas lights/displays and for access to the Christmas market in Jardin Tuilleries. Plenty of good restaurants in the local area for dinner. If you do request twin beds, note that there isn’t a space between the beds, the two singles are just made up with separate bed linen, this was fine for us. They were also able to accommodate an extra room request on the day which was great.

The room was very very dark (I actually had to use my phone torch on several occasions!) and the floor wasn’t the cleanest. Was almost charged for using hot water from the downstairs coffee machine (night staff advised I had used coffee, but I bring my own tea bags wherever I go and only used a cup and hot water) - this was quickly resolved on check out but it did make me feel a bit uncomfortable. The heating in my room didn’t work, but they brought up an electric heater which helped.

From the moment we stepped into Hotel du Continent, we felt so very at home! To be steps from the Tuileries, from the Louvre, a stroll from the Seine, to be within the heart of Paris, it truly felt like a dream. The safety and security that we felt each evening returning 'home' was priceless as every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. It truly is a five star experience! I was debating staying in the Latin Quarter, but when I stumbled upon this hidden gem, I knew that it would be the perfect place for us to stay. We were nestled amongst incredibly expensive Parisian hotels, and should I win the lottery, I would again choose to stay at Hotel du Continent over any other hotel in Paris each and very time! I recently spent some wonderful days in Paris at the Hotel Du Continent and I recommend it highly. The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Paris and within walking distance of major landmarks like the Louvre and Place Vendôme. The ambiance of the hotel is charming, with tasteful decor that exudes Parisian elegance. My room was comfortable and impeccably clean, with all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. I particularly appreciated the coffee machine, which was a delightful touch for starting my mornings. A special mention goes to Mr. Fabien, who went above and beyond to assist me. Due to an issue with my room reservation, Mr. Fabien handled the situation with professionalism, kindness, and impressive efficiency. His outstanding customer service truly enhanced my experience at the hotel. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to others.

Great location, good size bathroom, we were in room 16 on the 1st floor with nice outlook of the street. Fabulous restaurants in the same street, we were there for 4 nights and ate at 3 restaurants.

Kettle with tea and coffee facilities would be great, a hassle to have to come down each time you wanted a tea or coffee especially after a late night or after a big day sightseeing. The flood lights outside our bedroom reflected into our room which made it very bright

The hotel is in a terrific location for the Metro (Tuileries and Concord) and for walking to many of the main sights in Paris. There is great shopping close by and a wide range of cafes and restaurants. It is almost next door to the wildly popular Ferdi. Our room was a very spacious (for Paris) 18m, there was good storage, the bathroom was very functional and the decor had Parisian charm. The bed was comfortable, and we were delighted to have bathrobes - quite a rarity these days. The hotel staff lent us a kettle and cups, so that with the fridge we had everything we needed to enjoy an early morning cup of tea. The windows opened and it was quiet enough to leave them open for fresh air at nighttime. The housekeeping staff do an excellent job and the reception staff were friendly and acknowledged us every time we came and went from the hotel. We would be delighted to come back to this hotel to stay again.
