The hotel location is great, the metro is 2 min away, and there's a lot of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. The staff is kind and helpful and everything was very clean. The bathroom is really big, especially compared to the rest of the room. The street my room was overlooking was rather quiet, so there were no noise issues either. I didn't use any of the common areas, so I can't comment on that.

The decor and colors are too loud, it's a minor complaint but I'd prefer something more toned down. My biggest issue was probably the bed, I expected something more comfortable and breathable (it would get super hot at night), though it's still manageable for a week long stay.

We recently stayed at a cozy hotel in Paris that truly felt more like a welcoming home than a traditional hotel. The room was personally decorated and had its own private bathroom with a shower, which made our stay extra comfortable. It really felt like staying at someone’s home, and we could completely relax. The breakfast was tasty and had everything we needed, even if the selection wasn’t huge. The hotel’s location was perfect — close to the Metro, grocery stores, and many charming neighborhood bistros. A big plus was Adrian at the reception, who gave us lots of great tips about places to visit and how to get around Paris easily. He really made our stay smoother and more enjoyable. We can warmly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a personal and welcoming place to stay in Paris!

The only thing I didn’t like was that the rooms were a bit too small, but that’s quite typical for Paris and doesn’t just apply to this hotel. Otherwise, everything was satisfactory and we were very happy with our stay.

Highly recommended! Extremely good value in expensive Paris. Large, comfortable room & bathroom, very clean, good mattress & pillows. I had to overnight in Paris to board the train to Angouleme the following afternoon. The hotel's location, close to Gare Montparnasse & steps away from Metro Pernety worked very well for me. I spent my short time in the city strolling around quaint Rue Thermopyles, Arr 14 & had an excellent dinner at La Cantine du Troquet next door. Adrian & Pierre at reception were very helpful, including making my after-checkout period as comfortable as possible.

Nothing to dislike, but my personal preference is an electric kettle in the room over a coffee machine!. Also another light would have been great.

The staff members were memorably exceptional - friendly, helpful, and with wonderful English across the board. The room was tight for 3 people, but it worked. The breakfasts were good enough when included with the room price (for 12 euros though, I would probably go to one of the restaurants nearby instead.). We loved the fresh-squeezed orange juice!

The wi-fi almost never worked in our room for us. There is no air conditioning, but they have a big fan you can set in front of the window. Finally, the location is a little out of the way, and the nearest metro station didn’t make it easy to go anywhere we needed to go. And Uber or Bolt was about 13-16 euros to go to more central parts of Paris, and that is cost effective enough, especially when a few people are involved. And the non-touristy neighborhood had its own lovely restaurants and charms of its own.

The hotel is well situated near Montparnasse station. We chose it as we were taking the TGV the following day. It took us about 15 minutes to walk leisurely with our suitcases to the train station. The room and shower in the hotel were small. But these are European standards if you want a budget hotel. We were OK with it. The breakfast buffet was exceptionally well organized with many different breakfast items to choose from. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Since it was such a beautiful afternoon we walked about an hour past L’hotel des Invalides to the Eiffel tower.

Location is very nice.. Neighborhood is nice, a lot of shops, restaurants. Rooms are small but clean and nice. Big bathroom. Breakfast okay. It could be some salad, but ok. You can have coffee there all day long. Very convenient. Metro in 3 minutes walk. Gare Monparnasse 10 minutes walk.

It is a little bit noisy from the street during the night. So you cannot sleep with open window, and it could get a little warm. But it's okay.

The hotel really exceeded our expectations. Spacious, very clean rooms, impeccable service provided by the staff, perfect value for money, good location in a quiet area close to the center of the city, and many other features made our stay at Al Anvar absolutely unforgettable. Extremely delicious breakfasts deserve a special mention. Have been travelling throughout the world for 50+ years, and must say that these are the best breakfasts I ever tried. Ulmas, the chef, is truly a magician when it comes to cooking. Very diverse and tasty dishes luckily combine national traditions with high international standards. Would advise not to be late when coming to the restaurant in the morning, if you want to enjoy your breakfast to the fullest. Will definitely come back again.

Hotel has a parking place, but as I had my roofbox on the top of my car, the height (2,10 meters) was not adequate to enter the garage. I had to park on the streets which is very expensive! 3 euros per 15 minutes!! Paris center is even crazier: 4,50 euros for 15 minutes!

It was a good location close to the Metro, quiet and budget friendly

The rooms were very small and a lot of noise coming from the street. The breakfast which was included was very badly looked after on 2 of the 3 mornings. Food kept running out with a girl going to the shop to top up on bread and croissants more than once. Then just emptying the bag into the basket and holder in front of the guests. There was 1 milk jug for 16-18 guests. Good selection but very limited amounts

The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood with restaurants , shops and close to metro station 13. You feel safe even late at night. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Everything is so clean,the beds confortable and the bathroom is spacious. Breakfast time is long from 6.00 to 12.00 and you have everything you need ,a coffee machine ,fresh juice , different breads and milk products.

Everything was perfect.
