The staff, cleanliness, location

Breakfast had run out of some foods by 8am, apparently it would be restocked but not at the time we were there each morning. The breakfast would have been delicious if all the options had been available.

The room was clean, with a small private bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is pretty good, 5 minutes away from the metro station and the area is pretty clam and safe.

Our first night at the hotel we ran out of electricity. There were some issues in the area and our building and two other buildings were affected. We returned at the hotel around 9 PM and I asked about this issue at the reception. They said they spoke with the electricity company and it would be fixed in about two hours. The good part was we could still enter the rooms ( the key cards still worked). The bad part was we ended up not having electricity the entire night (it came back around 8 or 9 the following morning) - so we had no light, no WIFI, no air conditioning and we had to stay some extra time in the room after the electricity came back to charge our phones (as tourists, in a city we don't know, we didn't feel safe going out without charged phones).

It had everything I needed for a quick trip in Paris. It was neat and clean. It was easy to access with lots of metro options near by within a 5 minute walk. The persons working at the front desk were lovely and helpful. There is an elevator so it’s super easy to access your room no matter how heavy your luggage. It was close to enough to tourist spots but a little bit out of the way, I enjoyed staying in this list touristy area.

My room smelled a little funny, but after airing it, it was okay. I think it was the drains causing this. The night I stayed there was a street party event outside close to the hotel. Not the hotels fault, but super noisy!

I had a double room which was perfect as I was staying alone. The room was clean and I enjoyed the AC as it was very hot in Paris. The staff was friendly, the location on Canal Saint Martin ideal with 3 metro stations walkable distance.

The room was small, but it is Paris and rooms are small. A double room for 2 people might be a bit challenging as the beds are not very large and the bathroom is small as well. But I am referring to the room I was in (407) and they might have rooms with bigger beds and bathrooms. I'd definitely check that before booking a double for 2 people.

All the staff we dealt with were friendly and efficient, seem like a good team. The room itself was a decent size (for Paris) and the AC worked reasonably well. The location is good - right on the canal, and although it's a quiet area, you only have to walk a couple of minutes north along the canal to get to the metro and a large amount of restaurants / cafes. The hotel is a nice easy walk from Gare du Nord (maybe 15-20 minutes), so conveniently located.

We had the breakfast one day out of the three- a nice buffet but maybe a little on the expensive side. Adding tea/coffee making in the room would be a nice improvement. One oddity (and I'm not sure if we ended up in an accessible room or it was just the design of our room in particular?) was the layout of the bathroom with the wet-room style shower next to the toilet. It meant if you have your shower and then want to go and use the loo 15 minutes later, you get wet feet!

The location was great. Central, 5 minute walk from a metro. About 30 mins on metro to Eiffel Tower but that was fine as we wanted somewhere with a luggage room and to be near Gare Du Nord so our luggage was close by to pick up on our way to the station at 6pm that day.

There was a few small strange marks on the wall in the bathroom that looked suspiciously like poo splatter but that is the only fault I could find. The room was very clean so think it had just been missed.

The rooms are small, but not cramped. All very clean, good size shower (and good water pressure). We were facing into the middle of the apartment complexes, and whilst the view isn't anything special, it did dampen any noise from the road, so we could open the window and sleep easily. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. Easy walk to Gare du Nord, as well as the canal.

Only actual complaint was that our TV's remote had multiple broken buttons, so you couldn't move around the menus. Fine for watching live TV, but no way to use the smart TV functions.

The main advantage for me was the location, right next to Canal St. Martin and close to several metro stations. In addition, the room was rather spacious and comfortable. Rather surprisingly given the location, there was no noise from the street, although I heard some noise from the neighboring room. Last but not least, the internet connection was fast and reliable.

Unfortunately, the room was not equipped with a teakettle, let alone a coffee maker. The hotel of this level of comfort should definitely installed at least teakettles in all the rooms.

Tasty breakfast with a variety of options: sweet pastries, bread, cheese, ham, muesli, fresh fruit and vegetables, scrambled eggs, sausages... As a vegan option, we could get muesli with fruit and soy or oat milk. Everything was super clean, each person got two towels that could be changed daily. All the staff were very polite and helpful, we wanted to change single large sheet and duvet on a double bed to two separate duvets and the staff attended to our request promptly. The interior of the hotel is small but cozy. The rooms are well sound proofed both from each other and from the street, there is also air-conditioning. Which is important because the street can be a bit noisy at night. All in all, it's a tourist hotel that fulfills its function perfectly.
