Location is fine, it is very close to metro station. The beds are comfy, and they do have a shower and toilet in every room. They provide box to put in your luggage (although you need your own padlock to lock it up). The buffet breakfast was good and the staff was kind enough to let me try two different French dishes!

Every other thing apart from the room came with charges. Towel: 10 euros, Padlock: 10 euros, Luggage storage: 10 euros for 6 hours; Breakfast: 10 euro; Early checkin: 10 euro etc. At the end I ended up paying almost 50 euros in addition to booking price.

The Generator is a great place for solo travellers if you're staying in Paris. You have lots of options, you can stay in a room with a lot of people if you're a social person or in a smaller room with fewer people if you're not much of a social person (me). Have a private bathroom, shower and sink in the room was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, there's a security guy and also snack machines inside. There's also a rooftop bar to hangout and a café with lunch and dinner options. Supermarket (Franprix) nearby with ready to eat meals was great. There's also a metro station (Line 2 - Colonel Fabbien) right next to the Hostel.

Overall the stay was pretty good, the only thing I didn't like was specific to my room (511). The shower rattled very loudly when you turned it on, it would wake up my roommates if it was late.

- rooms a little uncomfortable - bathroom really small and tight - bathroom could be cleaner and better taken care of

I stayed here for two weeks, longer than most people usually stay in a hostel. I must say that this is a great budget stay in Paris, even though you will share your room with half a dozen other people. The attached restaurant is a plus. One day, our toilet was completely clogged and almost overflowed, so I informed the staff, and upon my return to the hostel the toilet was functioning again. That was brilliant! The location is good for those who need to get to the center or north of Paris quickly, though it's quite far to reach the south of the city.

I was a bit disappointed that the rooftop was completely closed during winter. I understand that there's no rooftop bar in winter, but I would've liked to watch the Paris skyline from the roof.

This was my first stay at a hostel so I didn't know what to expect but I had a great experience. I just stayed as a mini-layover in Paris for 3 days. But I had a bed in the 8 bed female dormitory room and it was really nice! You get a personal box under your bed that you can lock. There is a breakfast place that is nice! Nice facilities! The receptionists were exceptional! Special thanks to them as they were very accommodating and responsive to any issues I had (late check in & lock problem or room key issues). Private bathroom in the room which was clean!

I think it was a bit loud at night, there was a group booking and they were being very loud which was a bit disruptive. But not the hotel's fault I guess. Also you don't get a curtain to hide the bed, so a bit of lack of privacy but I didn't mind too much. Very small top ceiling too, I was on the bottom bed and when I stood up I barely made it 'cause I'm the exact height where I could avoid hitting my head every-time. I'm sure someone taller would've struggled with that though. Keep in mind no toiletries besides hand soap are provided and I think towels are at an extra change but I knew that coming in.

The hostel was good regarding the beds and the spaces, also a lot of toilets available, it looks modern. The staff helped me when I requested for a new room and bed because I didnt feel comfortable with the people I was sharing. They also have a common space for everyone which is also good with food and areas for to work during the day. The bad thing is that they dont have a kitchen or any space for hot drinks which could be very helpful specially during winter.

The only thing that made me feel uncofortable was that they dont moderate the noise the people can do in the halls, during my stay there were a lot of teenagers groups in the whole hostel just making a lot of noise during the nights, they were playing and running everywhere, I felt in the school just with a lot of kids and was impossible sleep well. The loction is not safe at all, a lot of homeless people in the door of the hostel, however is a central place.

Its good value for money. There are a lot of shops and cafes and restaurants around it so you are well taken care of in case you need something late night. The bus stop is in front of it so anywhere you would like to go is easy to reach. Paris is a big city and from this place most sightseeing sites take at least 30 mins to reach so it helps as you have at least one bus stop near it. At nights they have security at the entrance so you are also well protected.The room itself was big and space to move around so no complaints.

Honestly I could not find something that I would say stuck in my mind that I did not like. I only stayed at the hostel when I slept otherwise I was continuously travelling so I dont have anything that really stuck out as a bad thing

There was a washroom/ and shower in our room; there were USB ports for charging at each bed as well as local outlets; Room itself was clean. Clean sheets were received Very safe area Very safe in terms of luggage There were fun activities available on site such as Ping Pong and bike rentals.

I had to sleep on the top bunk and it was very uncomfortable on my feet having to climb such narrow metal ladders. I found breakfast to be a bit on the pricy side, however considering it was unlimited I wouldn't complain, it did give me the option to go and explore the real Parisian cafe experience...my favorite was down the street.

Staff particularly bar staff were super friendly. the location was ver accessible, close to the metro and easy walking distance to cafes, boulangeries, bars etc

hot water was a bit intermittent- but I may have been because there were a few large school groups there during our stay. there is also no common kitchen so you can’t make a coffee/ store any food- not an issue just a surprise for a hostel- but the prices at the bar downstairs were fair for coffee and drinks :)

The room is spacious, with a charging port at each bed. There are two toilets, a separate shower room with strong hot water, and a sink for washing. The space is well-designed, allowing you to store your luggage underneath your bed or at the entrance without disturbing others. Bringing your own locker is recommended. Love the receptionist, very attentive and friendly! They speak good English, too! The nearest metro station, Colonel Fabien, is right across from the hostel. It offers direct access to Nation Station (Eiffel Tower), and for Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport, you can take the metro and transfer to the airport train at La Chapelle.

Keep in mind that there’s a fee for luggage storage. If you arrive very early, consider booking a night before so you can leave your bags in the room instead of paying for the storage machine. The lobby is small, with only a single row of seating. There isn’t a proper lounge area for guests to wait for their room or flight. Luggage storage costs €3–€10 (~$3.25–$10.90) for small lockers and €6–€13 (~$6.50–$14.20) for large ones.
