Location is fine, it is very close to metro station. The beds are comfy, and they do have a shower and toilet in every room. They provide box to put in your luggage (although you need your own padlock to lock it up). The buffet breakfast was good and the staff was kind enough to let me try two different French dishes!

Every other thing apart from the room came with charges. Towel: 10 euros, Padlock: 10 euros, Luggage storage: 10 euros for 6 hours; Breakfast: 10 euro; Early checkin: 10 euro etc. At the end I ended up paying almost 50 euros in addition to booking price.

The Generator is a great place for solo travellers if you're staying in Paris. You have lots of options, you can stay in a room with a lot of people if you're a social person or in a smaller room with fewer people if you're not much of a social person (me). Have a private bathroom, shower and sink in the room was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, there's a security guy and also snack machines inside. There's also a rooftop bar to hangout and a café with lunch and dinner options. Supermarket (Franprix) nearby with ready to eat meals was great. There's also a metro station (Line 2 - Colonel Fabbien) right next to the Hostel.

Overall the stay was pretty good, the only thing I didn't like was specific to my room (511). The shower rattled very loudly when you turned it on, it would wake up my roommates if it was late.

Wifi was down the day I arrived. I was reliant on Wifi on my first day, until I bought a sim card from France. On the 1st night, the person at reception helped me with his personal phone. However, the day after too Wifi was down. So I asked the help from receptionist to make a call to my country to let my office know my updates. But the lady at the reception was not helpful. I understand her not feeling comfortable to not give me her personal phone. However, the wifi facility was cruicial since I arrived from abroad. It would have been nicer if she was a little more understanding and responded kindly, instead of coldly rejecting. (Perhaps this was a cultural factor that I am not used to)

So the hostel is situated around 4 miles from downtown the location is good you get the metro and bus from walking distance. The dorms were clean and so was the bed. Pros: - good location - price depending on the month you're booking your stay. (affordable) - cleanliness - rooftop bar Cons: - Towel you need to rent if you don't have one - No breakfast by default you've to opt otherwise - no particular water machine for the water, you won't be like filing your bottle from the only sink in your dorm. Highly recommend for a budget traveller.

The location is great—right next to Colonel Fabien metro station, making it easy to get around. The room was modern, clean, and the lighting was good. The bathroom layout was practical, and the rooftop view was a nice bonus. Staff were generally helpful, and the vibe of the common areas was cool and welcoming.

There was no floor mat in the shower, which made it slippery. The hot water was inconsistent sometimes suddenly very hot, then suddenly cold. Breakfast options were overpriced for what was provided. The cooling A/C in the room was not cooling well i think it needs maintenance.

The location is great! The hostel is also pretty good. The beds are comfortable and the dormitories are mostly clean. The staff was always friendly and very helpful.

There were some downsides. In my dormitory one of the power outlets at my bed wasn't working. Also I think the fee for extras like towels is a bit expensive. We were also a bit disappointed by the rooftop bar. You have to reserve a table there or else you probably won't get in. The cocktails had way too much ice and were very expensive. But the view up there is still pretty amazing. In conclusion I think those are some minor inconveniences you should be aware of.

It's a great hostel, very modern and artsy aesthetic, very clean, very organized and well oiled. Staff were friendly and helpful, and even offered a small gift to me when I'd lost one of my souvenirs. Beds were comfortable too. Rooms were affordable and offered a great value for what I paid for. Would recommend!

The area was a little rough looking, but only because there was construction around. Not really their fault. Someone also stole some of my things while I was out for the day, but it was my duty to lock them up, so I can't really be mad. Not much to say in the way of negative comments.

I stayed here for two weeks, longer than most people usually stay in a hostel. I must say that this is a great budget stay in Paris, even though you will share your room with half a dozen other people. The attached restaurant is a plus. One day, our toilet was completely clogged and almost overflowed, so I informed the staff, and upon my return to the hostel the toilet was functioning again. That was brilliant! The location is good for those who need to get to the center or north of Paris quickly, though it's quite far to reach the south of the city.

I was a bit disappointed that the rooftop was completely closed during winter. I understand that there's no rooftop bar in winter, but I would've liked to watch the Paris skyline from the roof.

I asked a guy at the reception how to reach the airport of Beauvais at night, and he didn't know. He suggested me to check on Google Maps. Maps, for efficency, suggested me to use night buses and bus stops I never used. The day of the departure, without much hope, I thought to ask to another receptionist. This time, the lady was informed, but it was too late to catch the last bus of the day to the airport. Anyway, I took the underground to reach the bus stop at midnight. I had to wait 3 hours in the coldness to catch the first bus of the day. The bus stop has no waiting room for travellers. It was a very bad experience. It never happened to me before to meet uninformed receptionists on information so basic.
