The hotel is a lovely traditional Parisian accommodation in a great location. Situated a short walk from Odeon Station, and also around the corner from the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens, the hotel provides the perfect base for a stay in Paris. There are a some great cafés and restaurants nearby the hotel. Highly recommend a lovely place called Treize for a great breakfast or brunch, a short walk away from the hotel and opposite Luxembourg Gardens. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend Le Senat as a good place to stay for a visit to Paris.

The room was smaller than expected but adequately equipt for a comfortable stay. The main entrance to the hotel is locked later in the evening, we had to wait a while before the night receptionist came to let us in. The lift is tiny and dark so felt a bit claustrophobic going up four floors!

I had a charming, well appointed room. The staff was delightful and very welcomimg. The hotel is is very nice looking and appears to have been redecorated very recently as everything seems brand new. Location could not be better--one block from the Luxembourg Gardens and in a neighborhood full of good restaurants and very interesting shops--for collectors of vinatage cameras, binoculars and typewriters, among others. I also loved that there were complementary copies of the International New York Times available on weekdays in the Lobby.

They were finishing up some painting in the lobby, so there were plastic tarps up which didn't allow us to thoroughly appreciate the decor. Also, the breakfast room is in the basement and is overly warm. Croissants were just comme ci, comme ca and you really want a fabulous croissant when you are in Paris. We got some fresh out of the oven just down the block though.

A superb location. Wonderful staff. Very good service. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was all right but limited, they serve nice french cakes, though.

The room is very small and the hotel is a bit old.

The location was the decider for me, near the person I was visiting, but it would be perfect for anyone. There are any number of restaurants steps away, it’s close to Luxembourg gardens, the RER (best way to and from CDG), metro and bus stops, and everything else you could want. The staff were welcoming, the room very comfortable, well laid out and I loved being able to open the windows onto the street. I didn’t try the breakfast, there are too many other options around at a cheaper price for excellent coffee etc. I did try a number of the hotel’s recommended restaurants - this was a great service - and also loved the Moroccan restaurant around the corner.

Very nice hotel in the centre of the 6th arrondissement in Paris. Breakfast really really good even with a great selection of gluten-free products on demand. Our room was very nice, not big as usual for Paris downtown but very clean and nicely furnished. Location is amazing, at walk distance from the Jardins du Luxembourg and to the Odéon/St. Michel areas. Staff is super nice and very helpful! Super!

Two things let us a bit wondering: the shower is really unsafe. Both the bathtub and the floor around it are very slippery and there is no anti-slipping treatment in the shower, resulting in making showering a rather dangerous experience. Additionally, it is practically impossible to regulate the temperature of the water in a stable way... the water goes from cold to warm and then to cold again over and over without anyone actually touching the valves. Some instability is quite normal in Paris (systems are old) but this was almost at unmanageable extent.

It’s been 10 years since we’d been Paris so was heavily relying on reviews. My husband and I stayed at Le Senat for 3 nights, and it was absolutely perfect. The room, we had a little balcony with a stunning view, bottled water in the fridge, breakfast was delicious and we made use of the honesty bar. The staff were so friendly and they couldn’t do enough for you. Fresh towels and maid every day. The location was perfect, 10 minute walk away from the Latin quarter and Jardins de Luxembourg other main site seeing areas are all within walking distance and the metro is a 5 minute walk. There’s a chic little restaurant bar a few doors up from the hotel called Au Pere Louis and high have a lovely selection of French wines and delicious food. A little local shop opposite and also a pharmacy. Situated down a quiet road. (There’s also an E bike hub straight outside should you wish to explore the city this way) We loved it so much we’ve booked to come back again in the spring.

We booked last minute and stayed for a few nights in August in a superior room and would say it would be worth upgrading to have a little balcony in summer as the area is so lovely. On the whole a great hotel for The location was wonderful, it was quiet and close to many restaurants, the metro and the Luxembourg Gardens. The room was a decent size for Paris. The shower itself was great, good power and temperatures. The bed was a superking I believe, definitely larger than a UK King, it was okay but a little on the medium to hard side. Ability to have soft mattress toppers would be well received. Great black out blinds making it easy for a good lie in. Note that we do not sleep well anywhere other than home or in super luxurious bedrooms but we did manage to get a decent nights sleep. Staff and their service - excellent. Very friendly, helpful, spoke good English,

It is a bit dark in the bathroom and room to apply makeup. The air-conditioning was very noisy so we had to turn it off at night which meant the room would get a bit warm. I would encourage modernising the bathroom and changing the bathtub for a shower as the bathtub is not full size and a bit redundant and we did end up with water over the floor when we showered.

The location is very nice, close to Luxembourg Park, and the street is quiet at night. Super cool and safe neighborhood to take a walk or have a drink. Despite the small toilet, the entire room is quite spacious in general comparing to other hotels with the same price. Some of the staff (2 girls) at the reception are very helpful and friendly, they explained to me about the payment details and helped my booked taxi for airport.

One staff I encountered during the night at the reception was particularly impatient and unfriendly. I tried to pay an extra night and he insisted on charging me for one breakfast that I shouldn't pay. I showed him my order details on booking.com but he just blamed it all on the hotel "system" and told me to write an email to customer service. I ended up by asking a refund the next day which was completely unnecessary at the first place.

Proximity to everything - easy walking. Metro close by, Luxembourg gardens & St Germain. I couldn’t really fault this hotel - friendly helpful staff. Self service bar available. This is our return visit after 10 years.

Small rooms but prime location = cost/size. No coffee machine in room. I suspect a victim of COVID cost changes. This is the only place on our 6 week trip to Italy northern Spain & France that didn’t have one available in the room. There was a machine downstairs for a €2 cost/ cup. We don’t like to do anything or see anyone before a coffee in the mornings.

Amazing stay near park of Luxembourg, plenty of good restaurants around. Staff was very nice, checked us in early and also upgraded the room (we had attic room with two floors, just a dream!). Breakfast was good as well, with exception that it did not have vegetable milk ( I am lactose intolerant). By the end of stay receptionist offered us to leave the luggage until our transport, which was really kind. Definitely would return. One more plus - they have l’occitane toiletries in the room , which is fantastic (I love this brand 😄)

One electric socket was not working in our room. Also room did not have sockets by each side of the bed, which nowadays is a minus, as we need to charge phones overnight.
