I had some issues after dropping my bags in the morning and then checking in a bit later (as I booked last minute) there was a misplacement of bags. However hotel staff Laurent and Tushara from front desk had approached the situation with care, diligently and proactive problem solving skills. It’s easy to write a compliment letter when everything goes right. But it’s an even bigger statement to write a compliment regarding the staff’s customer satisfaction when it starts to all go wrong. They really ensured I was taken care of and the outcome was delivered as soon as possible. Please praise your staff for not only putting your guests at the forefront, but, genuinely wanting to help! Also, shout out to Dinesh who was always happy to greet us for breakfast every morning. Please ensure your staff are praised and justly rewarded. What an incredible team

This hotel is an excellent choice in the beautiful Saint Germain area of Paris and just on the doorstep of Jardin du Luxembourg. Short walk to the Seine & Louvre Museum. There are 4 metro stations less than a 5 minute walk, making the hotel very well connected to reach anywhere in Paris. The staff were incredibly helpful and always had smiles on their faces. Lots of fabulous places to eat and grab drinks nearby. On arrival we had refreshing drinks with cookies, while the hotel staff placed our bags in our room for us. Our room was upgraded free of charge. Bedroom was very comfortable, spacious with rainfall shower and Nuxe Paris toiletries were a fabulous treat. Air conditioning was excellent keeping our room lovely and cool while temperatures soared in Paris.

Fabulous location, and very friendly staff. Check-in was smooth and quick, and the room was very comfortable, with a nice warmth to it. Looking over the square was a lovely bonus.

I was not a fan of the toilet being separate from the sink. There was a very awkward door on the toilet, which was difficult and noisy to shut. There was also no door on the shower room.

The reception person was super super helpful and nice. The hotel lobby is amazing: the fire place was running, small snacks, nice area to sit. The hotel location is just fabulous.

We took the basic room. It's really small. Like really small. And also the elevator that gets to the room is super small. I felt a bit claustrophobic. It was cheaper, but consider upgrading

Select Hotel is perfectly located for exploring the St. Michel and St. Germain areas on food. It's right in front of the Sorbonne, and very quiet, though just around the corner you can find every amenity. As we entered, there was a wonderful, warm fire in the lobby, and next to a "lounge" area where guests can visit with friends. The staff were all kind, helpful. Our room was one of the smaller ones but even so, it had everything needed. We particular appreciate having hot beverage area and a small refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was well appointed.

Location great, very central on the left bank and 2 blocks from Luxembourg Gardens , many places to eat close by, shopping close, and walkable to many Paris sites. Was easy to get a cab or uber when we wished. We had a takeaway breakfast one morning, and the chef actually started early in order to accommodate our timing , we so appreciated all the staff’s willingness to make our stay so enjoyable. Although we did not do the breakfast plan on other days, it looked delicious , generous, and offered many different choices.

Our mattress was very firm, but we were still able to sleep fine. The room was so clean and well set up for all of our needs. I would advise bringing your own shampoo as theirs more suitable as a body wash rather than doing double duty.

The location was perfect.The view and the design of the room were amazing.The staff was very polite & helpful.Overall it is a perfect choice for staying in Paris and I highly recommend it.

We were upgraded to a suite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely room which was always immaculate every day. Easy to walk to Notre Dame & St Germain. Would go back!

First and foremost, the location is simply unbeatable. The Select Hotel is situated right on the Place de la Sorbonne, which meant that I was within walking distance of some of the most iconic attractions in Paris. The Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Luxembourg Gardens, and the Panthéon were just a stone's throw away. It truly felt like I was living in the heart of this beautiful city, and that alone made my trip special. Upon entering my room, I was immediately struck by how impeccably clean it was. The bed was comfortable, and the decor was stylish. The staff were friendly and welcoming. One particular gesture that truly touched me was the fact that they allowed me to enter my room early upon my arrival. I had just flown in from a long-haul flight and was exhausted, so being able to rest in my room earlier than the standard check-in time was a pleasant surprise.

The room was small, but that is probably par for the course given the location.

The front desk staff of the hotel were very helpful and its common areas are very nice. The area is very quiet. Never a problem to get an Uber from the hotel. Supermarket 2 blocks away and many stores and restaurants are a short walk from the hotel. Choose the executive room or larger if they have any larger available. If you want to stay in the Latin Quarter, this is a good place.

While in your room, you can hear slamming doors and cleaning of adjacent rooms, such as in the morning. There is 1 small elevator but that is common in boutique hotels. The bar onsite doesn't appear to be actively staffed but there are bars a few blocks away. In August, many nearby bars and restaurants are closed for vacation.
