The view was spectacular, a short Uber trip into Monaco. Our host was nice and attentive. It´s a bit of a hike up the stairs to the hotel, and then stairs down to the room again but worked ok. Breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the ocean. Super breakfast set up and well worth the €12 extra. Size of the room was great. Kitchen, dining table, sofa/table, balcony and upgraded bathroom. Enjoyed it overall. Good fit for longer says for writers/artists etc.

One aircon unit on the floor that was a bit noisy and leaking water. Beach was quite a hike due to steepness of the terrain. All rocks and not super pleasant.

The apartment was recently decorated to a high standard so there were no signs of wear or tear. If you wanted to self cater which we did on our first night it was possible to do so as there was a microwave. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. The man in reception was very helpful. The apartment has beautiful views of the sea. It is a perfect location for touring the local area. You can see the Eileen Grey house 1027 from the front window. We would love to return one day.

The apartment is described as having air conditioning it doesn’t, it only has ceiling fans and as the building is right on the road it is too noisy to keep the windows open.

The only drawback with this location is that it us a bit remote with no dining or market nearby. Parking was also a struggle unless you got lucky with a spot on the street in front of the property, otherwise a challenge with a steep walk back to the property.

The apartment and sea view was absolutely breathtaking! Incredibly well styled and furnished, huge space for everything, phenomenal hill top view and cute little balcony to seep in the beautiful morning and afternoon sun. Very very satisfied with this booking! What I got for what I paid was an absolute steal, and well worth revisiting on my next trip :) ...To be honest I have NO idea how a place like this ranks at only 3 stars - I know of way too many ugly designed, tacky and poorly structured American chain hotels and inns with bad staff attitudes and lack of social etiquette (i.e. just 1 example in France - I stayed at a Best Western room which was microscopic in size (barely fit my large and small luggage), far less beautiful and very plain and boring style, limited services and only OK staff, and it was more expensive and ranked 4 stars!). Booking.com and other booking companies need to stop with hotel politics and give local international hotels, villas and apartments an equal chance at high rankings when they far outdo these crappy chain hotel brands - every time. I am going to do my best to book only local places on my travels as my experiences overall with local international names have ALWAYS gone above and beyond - plus supporting the local economy is always a good thing :)

There was very little to dislike about this place to be honest. However, I do recommend good sneakers for the long climb up the stairs - more like a workout lol. I guess that's what we get for wanting a stunning hilltop view :)

We stayed at Les Lilas for 4 nights as part of a trip along the Côte d'Azur. The property is located perfectly to explore nearby towns/cities such as Menton, Monaco, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Eze. In addition it is within walking distance of two very nice beaches (Plage du Golfe Bleu and Plage du Buse) which were not overly busy. Also, having our bikes with us came in really handy for supermarket runs and exploring the coastline beyond Monaco. Parking at the property wasn't too easy so once we eventually secured a spot opposite the building we opted to leave the car there for the duration of the stay which wasn't an issue. We used the communal terrrace most evenings which had an amazing view across the bay below.

Very little not to like. The air con was rather loud at night and the kitchen utencils were limted.

The view was a winner! The bed was super comfortable and we loved that we had a kitchen to prep some meals and have a cozy breakfast; the closest supermarket was reachable with a 20-min walk. The furniture was chosen with a good aesthetic sense.

We paid extra for the balcony and it was really dirty, so we avoided using it. The couch was very uncomfortable and even if we had a SMART TV, we couldn't connect it to the streaming services.

Absolutely beautiful property with so many nice touches and decor. The views are breathtaking and the outdoor areas very nice too

The outlook is unbeatable. You don’t want to leave the property. The decor was divine and thoughtfully considered.

Everything! Les Lilas is an absolute dream! Everything from the crispy bedsheets, the lovely bright furnitire the water pressure in the shower to the fully equipped kitchenette is thoughtfully provided! We especially enjoyed the towel drier in the bathroom!

Parking is hard to come by but that's not Les Lilas' fault!

One thing to be mindful of is that the location requires you to have access to a car. There is Uber to take you around also - but be warned that if you’re wanting to go to Monaco you can get an Uber there (around €10) but you can’t get an Uber back as Uber does not operate in Monaco. Because of this you have to get a Monaco taxi who charge around €45!!
