We loved the fantastic views down to the sea, the beautiful and tasteful decor of the reception areas, wonderful pool area and very friendly and helpful new owners. The owners take huge pride in their hotel and are always available and keen to help, including helping us carry our luggage to our room, and finding safe storage for our bikes. We were also impressed that our room was cleaned every day. The immediate area is very handy, with a local supermarket, boulangerie and brasserie. We barely used our car - we walked every day and evening into Villefranche-sur-mer (you get very fit as it's hundreds of steps!) and also did an early morning walk to Cap Ferat. We drove one evening to Nice to walk along the Promenade des Anglais and watch the sunset - wonderful.

We had a problem with blocked pipes under the shower in our room which caused a very unpleasant odour during our stay. The owners tried their best to fix it, but no plumber was available until the end of our stay. The room was not the one we expected and there was very limited room for storage. However, it did work well with our teenage children as they had separate beds in a separate area. The new owners have tastefully decorated the rooms as best they can, and have plans to make further improvements to the rooms.

A very quirky hotel! Individual and rather charming. Lovely fresh clean linen. Love the loo being separate from the bathroom, all beautifully tiled. Views from balcony are spectacular. Lots of space to sit & relax. Pool lovely.

Access tricky, lots of steep stairs. Lots more stairs down to the pool - but this steep aspect is how the views are so good! Some maintenance issues: top gate got stuck and no-one could get out - reception door locked shut and having popped out for croissants could not get back in! - no sign of anyone on reception to help and no-one buzzer or method to attract attention. Enormous aircon units outside our bedroom window were really noisy (but v good double glazing). More attention to external areas - sweeping, plant care, pressure wash the pool tiles and stairs perhaps. Pool seating a bit tired. Lots of ants, including in the room. I am being critical as this hotel is quite expensive, £1300 for 6 nights and not yet the summer holidays.

Everything, Charlotte & Fabrice were the perfect hosts.

Nothing not to like

This is a lovely small hotel up above Villefranche. Facilities are great beautiful pool but a little cold. Staff especially our host Fabrice were so welcoming and helpful. The view is stunning but that does mean a very steep walk down town and back but if you're able and healthy it keeps you fit. If not get an uber. It's immaculate and tasty breakfast would def return.

Nothing really unless you can't manage stairs. Would have liked to know about using the hot tub but that's a small thing and we were only there a few days. Fridge in room would be a bonus. Mosquitos but they're everywhere seemingly at this time. The lovely staff make up for it 😁

This is a wonderful 10/10 stay. We were a little co concerned because of the mixed reviews. The hotel has recently changed ownership. Charlotte and Fabrice are incredibly warm and welcoming. The rooms are fantastic, pool lovely with a stunning view. We were even so late for dinner one night that Fabrice cooked us a 3course dinner of duck breast and beans. Highly recommend!!

You need to walk about 15min up from the coast, we liked this as it kept us fit after all the eating and drinking, worst case ubers/taxis are available. Apart from that the hotel has good access, just a few stairs.

The new owners are working hard to make this a friendly little hotel in Villefranche. Charlotte and her partner were very helpful and kind to me. The pool is lovely and the room is a decent size.

I personally found the bed way too hard. The room was very clean but the common areas need a little attention. The location is high above the village of Villefranche-sur-mer on the moyenne corniche. There are a great deal of stairs to the village, which some people will be okay with but would be a deal breaker for others. I am very fit, so I did not mind it, but I still found it exhausting in the heat.

The hosts, Charlotte and Fabrice were great. The view was excellent and the dog was very cute. The room was very clean and laid out well, as was the bathroom. The hotel is located on the "middle road"and there is a bistro, market, bakery and gas stations nearby. Parking was very convenient and cost 15 Euro per day.

The room needs a mini-fridge and an amoire' instead of open shelves to store your things. The breakfast was good, but could have had a more varied selection- minor suggestion. The room was a little on the expensive side- has a great view, but was out of the town center.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The owners are very nice, friendly, hard working and extremely helpful. The self service buffet style breakfast was excellent value for money and was absolutely fantastic, with everything you could want available to start the day. We loved having breakfast on the balcony and found the sea view stunning. We were even served fresh bananas from the garden one morning. Absolutely fabulous! There is also a small pool and hot tub available for use and board games in the bar area. The town was so quaint, with a nice harbour and beach area to enjoy the sun. There are also lots of very nice restaurants to choose from.

It is quite hilly around the area, but we enjoyed getting our steps up each day and felt better for walking down and up again from the beach.

The breakfast selection was great, fresh eggs (Host cooked more if needed), fresh bread and pastries, selection of juices and fruit, ham and cheeses. Great stay - thank you Charlotte & Fabrece x and Riva 🐾

Would of preferred English channel on TV in room but host did advise later that WiFi available and ipads available should you not wish to watch via mobile phone or laptop, should you require.

The view from the hotel bar. So nice to come at the end of the day, they have games and you can have a wine and chill out. Emily was so lovely and made us feel very welcome. Brasserie and shops a two min walk away. The hotel wines were very nice too and well priced.

The walk to the town but Uber isn’t much around tenner. We got there and asked if they were serving food and they were not until the evening. Went to the shop for some crisps and took them to the pool and they were not impressed at all. Fair enough but we had no idea as other guests were eating and there was no sign. We would have happily ate at the hotel but there wasn’t food at that time.
