I stayed for 2 nights in the comfort double room. I think only difference with standard double room is that it is not located in the street side. However, it is hard to say that it makes any difference because you can still hear TV from the next door or some guests are walking loud in the corridor. Since I was staying alone, room has enough space. Bed was also comfortable. In addition room includes black out curtains which is always nice to have. Location of the hotel was central easy access to tram and plenty of restaurants, supermarkets around. I booked with the breakfast, and the variety was good.

I would expect somehow better cleaning service, since there was a sock possibly from the previous guest laying under the small chair when I entered into the room. I simply booked Best Western just to not face with unpleasant surprises by accepting paying more and I would like to see it is worth it. It would also be nice if there is a mini fridge in the room. Also, I asked for iron and iron board; stuff at the reception nicely helped me. However, bottom of the iron almost sticked and marked my white shirt; luckily it is not on the visible area so that I can still wear it.

Location for the Christmas markets was excellent though it was a taxi ride from the railway station. . Plenty of dining options close to the hotel but bookings were essential as the Bavarian restaurant we would have liked to eat at was booked out for the 5 days that we were in Augsburg. There was no fridge in the room but the manager very kindly brought one up for us. We had booked a suite at the hotel only to find that was on the 6th floor and the lift only went to the 5th floor then there was a long sweeping staircase to climb to reach the room. The climb with suitcases was not possible for us so an alternative room was offered. The alternative room was spacious and had a very good seating area. As a bonus when we messaged booking.com with the lower tariff we were delighted with the saving and more than happy with the size of the room.

Nothing to dislike, was very happy with the hotel and the staff.

Very nice hotel in a great location to visit Augsburg, just a few minutes walk from Rathaus Platz. Room was clean and spacious, breakfast was sufficiently varied (but the toaster was very slow). Parking is available in a garage around the back of the hotel, and staying at the hotel gives you a discount on the rate (comes out to 15 euro/day).

There was a small step up into the bathroom which I kept tripping on. Also, the parking garage is closed on Sunday (you can exit if you are already parked, but no entering). The hotel is located in an area of the city that requires the German emissions sticker on your car. German cars probably already have it, but foreign-registered cars need to sort that ahead of time.

Loved the location! Right across from Old Town, short walk to the train, and a nice little market on the corner. The front desk staff were all very helpful and the cleaning staff were thorough. We traveled back and forth to Munich for site-seeing, and spent a little time in Augsburg as well. Excellent value for the money.

We found the mattress a little firm for our liking and they added a fluffy duvet under the sheets to make it more comfortable. A fridge would have been a welcome addition, but those are only included in larger suites.

The room was at the back of the building and was hence quiet, even with an open window during the night and despite the hotel's excellent central location. Whilst the room was of a reasonable size, it really only provided enough space for sleeping with just a small amount of desk space--no problem for a short stay though. The buffer breakfast was included in the room rate offered by Booking.com.

The reception staff were not very friendly, both on arrival and on departure.

The hotel has a good location only a few minutes walking of the center of Augsburg. It's professionally managed - the room was very large and clean. Breakfast was nice and sufficient.

The bathroom in the very large room was (very clean but) rather small. The hotel does not provide an own parking place - public parking (garages) are available in about 3-5 minutes walking distance.

A very good location, in the old city - this is what we were looking for. A very nice room with all amenities, comfortable beds. We paid for breakfast just for one day, it was kind of expensive. They don't have parking, but there is one next door where you can park and have a discount from the hotel. Very nice staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. There is a grocery store next door and a coffee shop across the street.

The hotel located in the heart of the touristic part of the city and it is nearby a supermarket which is very helpful in case you are staying in the weekend. In Sunday all shops are closed so being able to by some grocery on Saturday can be very convenient. The room is good, clean and comfortable.

Parking is expensive 15 euro for night. No minibar service

We checked in without any problems and the staff member on-duty was very attentive and friendly. We asked about how to get into the city centre and she gave us good advice on using the public transportation, or how to get there on foot. The room was a good size, clean and tidy, as was the bathroom. The air-conditioner could have been a bit stronger, but it was OK. The breakfast was very good. Lots of choice, as well as some very good coffee. Very enjoyable.

To be honest, everything was fine and I can't complain about much. However, I would say that calling the room before checkout time the next day was a bit annoying. I think I was running a couple of minutes late and I got the feeling that they were chasing us out the door.

Staff were very kind and helpful and hotel was in a central location for our one night stay in Augsburg.

The hotel and amenities are quite dated; I realise it’s hard to spend lots of money on every property best western has, BUT some money spent on modern colours in hallways and rooms would make a very positive difference.
