This is a place that feels like home. No matter how many times I have stayed there, it always gives me the same feeling as in the very first time. This is not the typical hotel you would spend a night or two. While entering the building, you find yourself climbing stairs to a welcoming, wooden floor and a hall with paintings hanging on the walls. And right after that there is a real living room, with a fireplace and comfortable armchairs, where you can read the daily newspapers or books, listen to some music or just chill out. The personnel will greet you with a smile in the morning when you will be having your breakfast wit a view of the garden, and if you have stayed here more than once, they often remember you and initiate a little chat with you - not because they have to due to some management rules but because they feel like it. The rooms are quiet, clean, with comfortable beds and basic equipment for a comfortable stay. Grunewald itself is a green, quiet part of Berlin, away from the hectic of the city center but still well-connected to it by train and bus, so that you can find yourself dinning in Savignyplatz or walking around Charlottenburg or Mitte in 20-25 min. This package comes to quite affordable prices for Berlin, and it is no coincidence that people, including myself, kept choosing this place to stay again and again. Last but not least: by staying here, you sustain a project much more important than simple tourist accommodation: a vision about building democratic societies, offering training to young people and working together in Europe and beyond. It is really worth it.

Shower cabins could be more comfortable. But this is really minor.

I was very satisfied. Lady on reception desk was nice and helped me with everything including other questions related to Berlin. It was clean, quiet location, nice personal on breakfest too. It is not in downtown but there is a bus station about 2 minutes by walk and interval each 10 min. directly to Metro ( takes 10-15 min.). Good price for quality. I would recommend it. Parking at the hotel and free of charge.

Quiet location, close to the S7 station Grunewald, where there is also a nice selection of restaurants. The breakfast was really good, with eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), a nice variety of breads, musli, yogurts, hams, cheeses, etc.The room was clean, and in general everything was very well organized.

A quiet breakfast at a spacious table, in kind of wintergarden, next to a real garden - perfect setting to enjoy the tea!

Location was very nice, nice surroundings and garden. Room had all you need. Personnel very friendly.

Breakfast was ok, would have loved some fresh fruits. Kept window open and when I was away a number of winged ants were in my room.

Just everything. We really enjoyed it.

The rooms are clean, the neighborhood is beautiful

The reception opens at 8:00, even though it says 07:30 on their page. It is not possible to check-out at night and before 8:00, worth keeping in mind if you need to leave early

The room was very clean, the bed comfortable. There was no kettle in the room, but tea could be prepared in the corridor.

Overall a wonderful location. Slightly outside the city center, but easy to reach by public transport. The venue was very spacious, and having breakfast outside was amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
