The hotel’s location in 3 mins to S-Bahn and 1 min to bus stop is the strongest reason to stay here. The surrounding area is charismatic and traditional for West Berlin. The closest Späti locates in front of the hotel near bridge over S-Bahn. The nearest EDEKA market is in 600 meters at Kantstrasse closer to Savignyplatz and Zoo.

An entrance hall is being repaired and looks just like after the flood from above. A floor was too creaky. WiFi is weak as in the most (not very) cheap pension hotels in Berlin.

Advantages: close easy access to the S-bahn or U-bahn if you are using public transport. Groceries are near, but not that near. Nice towel. Second most comfortable bed on my trip. Sink in room. Nice 2-ply toilet paper. Good lighting. Actual chair for sitting rather than just on the bed. Large shrank for clothing. Despite proximity to the freeway, I heard no outside noise from traffic in my room. Helpful staff.

Cons: when I arrived, there was a notice on the inside of the building door notifying us of intermittent hot water. My WC and shower were down the hall, but private. Not near attractions for tourists. Noisy floor in hallways. Make sure you do your research if you are leaving airport early to be sure the train you want is running; plenty of options, but be sure you look ahead to see before counting on making it there via S42 at 4AM.

Situated just at the edge of Berlin with options of bus busses and trains. Quick check in and -out. They accommodated an extra bed. It was better than expected considering it was a cheaper option but didn't feel like it

Conflicting communication through Booking.com about the extra bed, which was cleared up by reaching out.

The hotel was in a fantastic location right next to Messe Nord ZOB rail station which made it so easy to go anywhere in Berlin from. This is a good value basic accommodation that absolutely suited my needs as a solo traveler exploring Berlin.

Location was perfect as we were there for Lollapalooza. It was close to metro, and many shops around the hotel

A clean room for budget traveler. The hotel is old left back at the eighties but the room was clean and had all amenities for just a sleep after long day out.

We've chosen this venue for a single reason - price for money. In that regard. It fulfilled our expectations. Everything wasn't new, but beds and bathroom were clean, towels were provided, receptionist was helpful.

Watch out for the "free parking nearby". 1) it's not provided by hotel 2) depends on how lucky you get. There are just some one-way streets around the building, that are used by the people that live there. There is also some public parking spot nearby, but you're also not guaranteed to find a spot there. Fortunately, we did and nothing happened to our car.

The staff speaks english good, they were very welcoming. The size of the room was good. It was very clean and organized. In this point, it exceeded our expectations.

Location was good but still little bit far from other things. The bed was ok but do not expect super comfortable (still good for travelers who are used to). Also, it might be difficult to open the windows since the train passes by your room. We were not bothered by it since we were tired and needed sleep.

Value for money, location is great, the facilities are quite old but fine to use. I personally expected that the bed would be uncomfortable but it was also fine.
