It was beautifully calm right in the heart of the city centre. The patio garden was a wonderful place to have breakfast and relax. Spacious rooms.

We forgot to book in for breakfast one morning and were given a stern telling off despite our apologies. That felt unnecessary as there was a lot of food and not many people. A bit of flexibility is not a lot to ask for when a place presents itself as high end.

Large spacious double room overlooking main road. small kitchenette with fridge, microwave and 2 ring induction hob. Comfy bed. Complimentary ear plugs provided as with the windows open it is noisy. Clean bathroom with good shower. Beautiful courtyard area with plants and pots and nice area for seating and having a coffee etc

The reception isn't manned 24hrs so you have to let them know your time of arrival which we did. We arrived and pressed the buzzer for entry to The Garden Hotel - not knowing the reception was the next door up the street. The postman alerted us, after we had stood outside for 10 minutes with no answer to the buzzer, plus tried phoning the hotel. At reception desk, the girl at the desk was very unfriendly - she said I tried to buzz you in. She could have popped her head outside the door and said 'come in here' to us! Shockingly bad customer service!

The garden area is lovely and very relaxing, the room was very large and clean and very quiet despite being next to the very busy main road, providing the windows were shut! Once we had a better fan we were able to sleep comfortably. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. We got some food from a supermarket and ate in the garden one night which was very pleasant.

On the first night we only had a small fan which was very noisy so we tried to open the window as the room was very hot (had been 27deg in the daytime) but the noise from the road was relentless so we had a very poor nights sleep. After receiving a better fan from reception we managed to sleep ok with the window closed. It would be better if they installed air con in the road facing rooms as otherwise the hotel is superb.

Excellent location and a really lovely hotel. Apartment style so the rooms are very spacious and they have a courtyard and numerous public areas to relax in No bar but you can buy drinks from their communal “mini bar” which has an array of snacks and drinks There is also a late night mart right next door for drinks and snacks and a supermarket an easy walk It’s a close walk to the central train station which is handy if you are doing inter city trains and there is a u-Bahn station mins away. It’s across the road from the Natural History museum which is well worth a visit and walking distance (although a reasonable distance ) to many sights and museums Our room had a lovely balcony with a table and two chairs to have a drink on Breakfast was substantial buffet format and lively and you can enjoy it indoors or I. The beautiful courtyard

Hard to fault as we had a lovely stay here. No air conditioning which didn’t bother us but could be an issue in high temperatures

Amazing location - 20 minutes walk from the central station, across the street from the natural history museum and close to alot of other cultural sights. Shops and a chemist down the street and tonnes of great cafes, restaurants and bars in walking distance, we had a bunch of places on our list but ended up staying local. The nearest metro station is just up the road. The hotel itself is gorgeous and beautifully styled, our apartment was very spacious and we were able to stay cool even with the weather in the thirties. Everyone was very kind and helpful, I was able to borrow an iron and ironing board on one of the days which I appreciated. My partner and I intend to return to Berlin next year and will definitely be booking here again.

The place is nice and comfortable and the staff are attentive. A good stay overall.

It's little things that spoil the whole experience. For example, coffee and tea are downstairs, although rooms have kettles, but their cords are too short for the height of the outlet so the kettle base hangs on the wall when you plug it in. There are kitchen utensils, but there are no scissors, a thing most travellers don't have with them because of flight restrictions. A room for two has enough shower/bath liquids for one, and you don't get a refill. Finally, a chair broke under me, which was scary cause I could've hit my head on the table corner.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, we had a delay and they stayed extra for us. The accomodation was very clean and fresh renovated. Everything we needed was there. We were with a small child and it was a quiet and smoke free environnement. If anyone need a real rest this is a true recommendation. In the direct vicinity there are sone good restaurant and konditorei for good breakfast. There is also a organic supermarket at 5min walk distance. Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) is 10min walk, of course you may take the U-bahn or S-bahn within 1 min walk. Charité is at 3 min walk. Perfect for anyone attending a medical conference. Next time we are visiting Berlin, we surely would book again.

The windy and cold weather in Berlin. But that is beyong anyone's power to change!

Our room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is situated near to the Berlin Hauptbahnhof, so it was very convenient for us to use this as our base while visiting Berlin/Potsdam since we decided not to rent a car. The reception staff was extremely helpful in giving us an overview of how the transportation system works in Berlin including tickets, routes, etc. Near the hotel were restaurants and stores to buy grocery items. The hotel has an interior, outdoor garden/patio area which is lovely, but since it was November and a bit chilly, we did not have the opportunity to sit outdoors and enjoy. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great location. Right across from the natural history museum. Almost no noises from the street during the night. My unit was very large, more like an apartment. I will definitely stay at the hotel again.

Unpleasant night staff. The rooms had old fashion keys which I am not familiar with. I asked for her help, she was somewhat reluctantly came up to help me. After I dropped off my luggages in my unit, I had difficulty finding the Wifi information in the room. I returned to the reception desk to ask for the info, she rolled her eyes as if I am a nuisance, not a hotel guest. I apologized for interrupting her. I traveled to so many places but this was the first time I encountered this kinds of behavior from a hotel receptionist. I hope someone in the hotel management will read this.

Old-school hotel, with an old vibe, with lovely garden and balcony. Had the possibility to reserve a parking spot in a private parking, which was important for me. The hotel and the room was clean and cozy. The room had a little kitchen too. Location is very good, close to all possible public transport types (metro, tram, bus). Public transport is excellent in Berlin. I always appreciate a bottle of water waiting for me in the room, which this hotel offered. Additionally, free coffee or tea was offered every morning, just to kickstart your day.
