great location the beds were very comfortable the check in staff were helpful

We had a problem with Ryanair-no fault of the hotel's obviously-and had to change our booking from 10-17 Aug to 8-15 Aug in July. When I contacted the hotel to ask if this could be changed they declined saying I had booked a no change reservation therefore there was nothing they could do. I totally understand this and had to book 2 extra nights. When I checked the hotel's availability on Booking.com there was availability for the 2 nights in question so it would have been possible for the hotel to switch the booking from 10-17/8 to 8-15/8 at no loss to themselves. If this wasn't a possibility due to procedures it would have been nice for them to have offered us something as a consolation such as a quiet room (extra surplus charge per day) or a free breakfast or drinks or something.

I recently stayed at the Mercure Berlin City Hotel and was impressed by their thoughtful approach to inclusion and accessibility. As someone who uses a wheelchair, I truly appreciated the spacious, disabled-friendly room I was allocated. It was designed with care, featuring ample space for easy mobility and an extra bed, presumably for an assistant, which adds a practical touch for travelers needing support. One of my favorite amenities was the tea-making facility in the room—nothing beats a warm cup of tea after braving the chilly winter weather! The assistant on-site went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay, which made all the difference. The hotel's location is another highlight. Its proximity to the train station and various public transport options makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. I highly recommend Mercure Berlin City Hotel for anyone looking for an inclusive and comfortable place to stay in Berlin. Their commitment to accessibility and guest comfort is commendable!

There a hair in the towel. The aircon is not cold enough and when I open the window, it is too loud.

Hotel was in a great location for exploring the city. Room had everything you needed and was very clean, also very quiet at night - we had little to no road noise or corridor noise! Staff were super helpful and friendly and the hotel has a brilliant little bar area. Overall super pleased with our visit and would definitely recommend!

The queen size bed was made up of two twin beds, which wasn’t the most comfortable for a couple, but I’m aware this is a regular thing for hotels to do, so this is a minor grudge - overall super comfortable beds and a great stay.

The hotel was in a perfect spot for those people who use public transportation. There was a main streetcar stop right in front of the hotel and getting around town with public transportation was super easy. The staff were friendly and always smiled in the lobby. The elevators were readily available and the room we selected was decent. The room was quiet when the window was shut.

The air conditioner in our room as a bit on the noisy side and on the lowest setting it took a long time for the room to get to what I would consider a comfortable temperature.

The place is good, it has everything, close to the metro, restaurants, cafes and supermarketsThe rooms are clean and equipped with everything you need.

We booked the room because it was close to the tourist attractions, and because it had air conditioning, the air conditioning didn't work. We had to open the window, but the sound of cars, metros, and police cars prevented us from sleeping. We closed the window and slept sweating.

Location is brilliant - excellent for the transport network. Staff were very accommodating.

The only thing that bothered me (and I’ll email the hotel tomorrow about it), we lost our plug converter and asked front desk if they have one to buy. They actually sold us what appeared to be our lost one for €15 (it’s a rather pricey two-piece uk to worldwide one). I have the other half of it here at home 🤦‍♀️ That’s a bit naughty. I suspect I dropped it in the bar area. We did wonder why it had no packaging and no receipt.

The room had nice decor. The bed was comfortable. I was glad the window opened and didn’t have to rely on air con. It was quiet (with the window shut). Really close to the main station (hbf) - I walked there in under 15 mins. Good location for other places I wanted to visit.

I didn’t have the breakfast as felt 20 Euros was way too expensive. The curtains didn’t appear to be blackout so I woke early both days and the room felt light.

Clean hotel and good location. Quick check in and out. Cot was ready in the room when we check in.

It somehow felt a bit hot at night and even setting to 18deg seems to be not enough but then we open the windows slightly it's ok. Maybe because suddenly it was 27deg one day in spring so the system didn't cope well. For us with windows open sleeping wasn't an issue but light sleepers beware as you can then hear the tram or ambulance to Charité.
