We stayed in the family studio, which was very spacious and with a high ceiling. Lovely old building in a great neighbourhood. The studio is convenient and had everything we needed (except maybe a coffee machine, which was only in the lobby), even a nice bathtub and a kitchenette. We loved the courtyard with hammocks and all the trees. The staff was very friendly. Bonus points for the housekeeping that tucked in my children’s stuffed animals in the beds every day. They were so excited to find them like that :) Would definitely come again!

Flat pillows, no coffee maker in the room, curtains do not darken the room. Even though the studios are situated overlooking the courtyard and away from the street (which takes away a lot of city noise in a lively area), I still woke up most nights because of noisy people hanging in the courtyard. It didn’t help that we were there during a heatwave though. But despite that, I would surely recommend the place and return next time myself

I am usually gloomy and criticising everything, but this hotel was really pleasant. Central location but still quite: it is a huge compound with different educational organisations. I had a window into the inner yard, and it was quite all night. The apartment itself was clean and well equipped. And also cozy and sincere. Wi-Fi was also fast. The hotel staff also provided an invoice upon my request. Recommend! p.s. Btw there's also a calisthenics park right next to the hotel, which I liked too.

The kettle didn't work - but they replaced it. Both nights there were mosquitoes. I killed them, and apparently I was not the first one: the ceiling was covered with blood traces. Maybe I ask for too much, but if there was a mosquito net, the place would be ideal. But so - you either sleep with the window close or have to hunt. In the chat requesting an invoice they asked everything (company name, email) several times, so I was basically repeating it to every new person. Seems like they didn't want to read more that 1-2 last messages. But that's not critical.

I loved the place, I loved how it is on a busy street but since the hotel is inside campus you barely hear a sound, even if you open the windows. I also loved the room in general with two twin beds each with a nightstand. It also had a desk and table to eat on, plus the stuff to cook or heat leftovers in the microwave. It had everything we needed for our stay and it was quite inviting to take a summer course in German at GLS and stay in these rooms. Location was the best part. Best neighbourhood to be in.

There wasn't something I didn't like, really.

Location. Quiet - way away from any street noise. Lots of open space in large courtyards with ping pong tables and picnic tables and areas to relax in both inside and outside. Great staff. Perfectly clean. Laundry room but you need to download an app to use it. Coffee machine in lobby. Great big towels. Location can’t be beat

Didn’t bother us but if you have a problem with your beds being upstairs and in loft with low ceiling then rethink GLS.

I knew about these studios from a previous German course at GLS. The level is still very high: the room was very clean, warm (it was chilly outside), very well conceived and practical. We didn't have much contact with the staff, they tend to leave you alone except if you ask something. The welcome was cordial. The environment is excellent, close to tram stop and in a lively, student-atmosphere style street. Very safe overall. Highly recommended despite the high price, but this is Berlin

It was close to everything basically. Trams stoped just outside the door. Wherever you want to go it's convenient. School complex is nice and quiet.

Only thing was a squeaky bed and super heavy bed sheets. Queen's bed was actually two beds pushed together with separate mattresses.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the location is excellent and with good connections. The hotel building is located deeper into the campus territory, so there's no noise from the street and it feels really cozy and calm. The overall vibe and ambience are also great. I stayed only for one night, but I'll definitely keep this place in mind for longer travel as well when I come to Berlin next time.

Either I didn't find it or it wasn't there, but a sponge and dishwashing liquid would be nice.

Our stay was great, the staff was very helpful and the location is fantastic. The studio was in the -1 level, and with large windows, but still offered a cozy and private refuge.

The pillows were very soft and while they couldnt exchange them, we were offered additional pillows that solved the issue.

It's a super safe, and amazing location with lots of nice restaurants, cafes, shops, and trams right outside the entrance! As a previous local Berliner, I can definitely recommend this area and also Die Schule. The size of the studio was good, while it was very basic, I had what I needed. Didn't use the kitchen though. Breakfast at Hotel Oderberger was really nice too, there are gluten-free and lactose-free options. It was very quiet for sleeping! The staff were really nice and friendly!

- No spot to hang towels in the bathroom - The mattress could have been better, it was too soft (I am a very tiny person and it felt like I was sinking) - The noise from the fridge that comes and goes can be a bit annoying if you are a light sleeper

I loved how large the kitchen was, it was awesome to hold all my groceries for the week I was there. The location is absolutely perfect, as it is a walk or short public transport trip away from most large tourist attractions and local gems. The campus it is situated on is absolutely gorgeous and the staff were super helpful.

I was in Berlin on what turned out to be a very hot week, and my room did heat up quite quickly. They did have fans, but I do wish there was an air conditioning system (although I don't know how common that is in Germany!).
