The staff and the social aspect of the hostel makes it great for any solo traveller! They have events happening every day and make it easy to socialize and meet people. Location is great where it’s near the station and a very nice back terrace where you can relax or chat with other travellers.

The rooms need air conditioning since it gets veryyyyyy hot. It felt like a sauna at times which is uncomfortable whether you’re trying to sleep or just sit around. As well, a curtain for the beds for privacy would be nice! The hostel is missing privacy curtains for the bed and air conditioning, that would the hostel that much better.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and common areas were always clean. A fun activity hosted by the hostel every night so it’s easy to meet people. Lots of people ready to party but the hostel does a good job of keeping quiet hours so people having a chill night can get some sleep. The courtyard is an awesome place to hang out, relax and chat with others. The hostel group chat makes it super easy to get recommendations and find others to go to the clubs with. Close to Mitte, grocery stores like Rewe, public transport etc

The best option I could’ve chosen to stay in Berlin as a solo traveler. The hostel itself is very nice and clean in a very nice location (few minutes walk from the station) with lots of small cafes around and a nice garden in the back of the hostel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the best people possible. They organize socializing events every single evening and give recommendations what to do and where to go every single night in whatsapp chat, so even if you’re solo you’ll never feel alone cause you always have somewhere to join. Even if you’re not into such stuff and just want to rest, it’s peaceful during the night in the hostel. My recommendation would be 10/10.

Location was fantastic and located near several public transport options. The staff was friendly and energetic out of the gate which really set the tone for the socialness of the hostel. They had great recommendations for bars/clubs/food/touristy things and had group activities planned for each day we were there. The other people at the hostel I met were from a diverse range of countries and were incredibly friendly, I am still in contact with a handful of them.

The holder for the shower handle was broken so I had to hold it to wash myself. This is the only thing that was wrong on my 5 day stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready with great local recommendations, which made exploring Berlin even more enjoyable. My room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. I appreciated the little touches—whether it was the soft lighting, fresh linens, or the peaceful vibe that made it easy to relax after a full day in the city. The location is fantastic—tucked away in a quiet street but still very central. It's just a short walk to great cafes, restaurants, and public transport, making it super convenient for getting around Berlin. One of the highlights was the common area and garden. It’s such a chill, social space where you can meet fellow travelers or simply unwind with a book or a drink. The sense of community here is something special and rare. Overall, EastSeven exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Berlin!

High quality hostel with mostly cheerful and educated guests and international staff. The neighborhood was trustworthy you can feel safe as solo traveler. 8 min walk tram, 10-15 walk for u bahn stations. Mauer park, museum insel is close enough for a big city. Both old school and new generation bars around; lots of theatre shows around 1km, super and mini markets around.

Senefelder platz u bahn station is underconstruction so i walked a bit more. It would be better to check and if necessaary change the soap plastic box. And disenfection liquids are empty. By the way bathrooms were always 9 or 10/10 clean in anytime so didnt worry at all

Every member of the staff is very nice and welcoming. They even provided free dinner on certain days, delicious aswell. The common areas are perfect to meet new people, especially for me as a solo-traveler, it couldn’t get any better than that. Every night, you have the opportunity to join nice people in going out, partying, bars. The location is something that even locals are jealous about. The room was always clean and tidy. Bed way more comfortable than usual hostel beds. Overall, one of the best hostels I’ve ever been to and the best one in Berlin.

Ain’t lying, but nothing

The hostel is small, located in a residential area with a friendly and helpful staff. Hot water in the showers and comfy beds. Clean. Stayed in the 4-bed female dorm.Free dinner on Sundays. Close to local restaurants and shops. Easy to meet other travellers. The hostel has a WhatsApp group with recommendations and tips on what to do, where to eat etc.

The location was a bit off from Alexanderplatz. If you're into partying then it's a bit off. If you have big suitcases - no elevators, stayed on 3rd floor. Would've been nice with more hooks in the room to hang your towels, clothes etc. It took about 1,5 hours to/from the airport BER.

Really lovely hostel next to Senenfelderplatz U-bahn. Easily accessible from central Berlin. Lots of pubs, bars and restaurants nearby. Comfortable and well equipped communal areas. Very friendly guests, mainly in their 20s and 30s. I'm a solo traveller in my 60s but everyone was very welcoming and no one made me feel out of place. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended 😁

My room could have done with some coat hooks to hang coats and jackets on, as it is not always convenient to place them on the bed or in the locker, particularly if it is raining outside.

Amazing hostel, amazing atmosphere, well connected to Alexanderplatz and Tram/Metro. The staff is really great, I was there only for one night but they're all lovely, specially Camila. They let me kill time there because my bus was late and even let me participate in that night's dinner. I would totally go back. The rooms are big, the beds comfortable enough, the patio amazing for hanging out. The bathrooms were clean. For its value, it's a no brainer in Berlin either if you want to do walking or party tourism, or both.
