This hotel is located in a quiet residential suburban area, just s 5 minute walk to the tram and 3 stops from Alexanderplatz. Good quality restaurants are located on the adjacent streets, about 400-500 metre walk which was a bonus. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the hotel breakfast was good. The hotel itself is an older historic property which is in some parts is nicely decorated but some areas becoming tired and worn. There is a cute garden courtyard next to where breakfast is served. We booked a premium plus double room. Our room was disappointing as it was old and tired, in need of refurbishment. There is also no gym located at this property. The gym is located elsewhere and there is a fee to access it.

The room was huge with super high ceilings and I believe I was given an upgrade because of availability - I loved the bathroom tiled in dark green marble. My stay was extremely quiet, as I requested - I believe they put me in a part of the hotel with no one else in it! The neighborhood - Prenzlauerberg - is just sublime - and there are very few hotels in the neighborhood, so this is a great find. The breakfasts are very good.

The décor is a bit dated. I did not find the bed super comfortable and there were no mattress toppers left. Several times when I wanted to talk to a member of staff there was no one at all at the front desk and even upon ringing the bell and calling the number, no one appeared. When they did appear, the staff were very kind, however.

The location was excellent in the East side of Berlin with ample access to public transportation and to GDR Museum and the Berlin Walk. The breakfast was The best we’ve ever had at a Hotel. Such a wide selection of food with a great staff . We requested a takeaway. of the breakfast as we had an early flight . The staff packed it with 3 different sandwiches filled with wonderful cheeses lunch meats , fruits .. it’s as if the buffet breakfast was either us all day

We had a room with 2 twin beds . It was a bit tight maneuvering around the room

Everything was truly exceptional! This hotel is a real unique gem, immediately entered my top 3 of best hotels globally (and I travel a lot for work). The rooms are stunning, and the beds are amongst the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of art work, there is a beautiful garden and terrace to sit outside and enjoy. The staff are lovely. Honestly everything succeeded my expectations. I will certainly be back, thank you for everything ❤️

Very charming hotel on a tree lined avenue. Lots of history right in the hotel as part the east and former Jewish residence during WW2. Nicely decorated rooms in sync with its history. Very good breakfast with a cute courtyard. Very quite peaceful area but close to all city activities. Highly recommend this hotel!

No coffee maker in the room, however they’ll provide a carafe of coffee if you go down to the front desk.

This hotel absolutely exceed my expectations! The neighborhood was beautiful -- tree-lined streets, lots of shops and restaurants, and convenient to public transportation. The room was beautiful -- brimming with old-world charm -- and the 'business center' upgrade had TWO bathrooms (never seen that before in a hotel room), with the best shower I've ever had in a hotel! The breakfast was sumptuous, with pretty much every breakfast food you could think of. And the staff was top-notch -- especially Knute, the afternoon/night front desk person. He was exceptionally personable, funny and helpful. He recommended really good restaurants nearby, offered 'tips and tricks' for what to see and how to get around, and told us multiple stories about the city and what life was like growing up there. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone.

Old world feeling. Lovely staff, very professional and kind. Brilliant breakfast. Cannot recommend the property more highly.

Was not offered coffee both days, I had to go to ask at the front desk as no one was around both times to serve me but if you wanted tea this was self serve. Also the pillows, they were soft but with the firmer ones it’s just a wrapped up version of the soft and comes undone in the night. Would recommend a different plan for pillows as I see this is a common feedback from other guests in the reviews too.

Really good hotel in the heart of Berlin. Really chic surroundings, building and lovely little café in the garden at the back of an old-fashioned building. Wi-Fi maybe could be a bit faster, but otherwise super okay to do working stuff. The rooms are interesting with a retró style, which can give an old-day feeling, but still everything is clean and at service. Lovely people at the reception, both when I checked in and out. Surely advise to go there. Value for money for me as well was really good.

I had a wonderful stay with my son of 15 years old in this magnificent hotel in an attractive neighbourhood where we discovered tasty restaurants with enough vegetarian options at very reasonable prices. Tram stop to the center at the corner of the street and on the next corner a very cheap supermarket to avoid extra costs, what else do you need for a perfect city trip?

Great location - very close to tram stop and walking distance to two railway stations. Hotel was very quiet. Staff wonderfully helpful and considerate. Beds exceptionally comfortable and bathroom perfect.

Nothing to dislike but possibly a little expensive. However should we visit Berlin again, this would be our go to hotel!
