The room was exactly what I expected after booking, a small balcony overlooking the street, large room, good bathroom. Not a 5 star modern hotel (if that's what you're looking for you wouldn't book here) but a delightful old style hotel with old style Service. Nice quiet breakfast room, most all you might want available, served 06.30-11.00 so suits all requirements. Beautiful architecture, a reminder of the old style Berlin. A 5 minute walk to Kurfurstendamm with plenty of restaurants close by, there's 5 in the same street!

The lift, although it works perfectly well and a lot less noisy than many other hotels, was a little small. The two of us with our bags when checking in were a little cramped. Amusingly an old sign mentions it has a maximum of 5 people. On Lilliput maybe. I would imagine that the equivalent of the UK Grade 1 listed would apply here and that alterations would be unrealistic.

The room with balcony was huge, the bed is soft but very comfortable. We got lucky with the neighbors and it was very quiet during the night. Probably the best part is the position, on a quiet street, with good restaurants, but that leads straight into the main shopping street. You can't beat that location.

The welcoming was strange, they've built their whole idea of feel at home but only if you use credit cards. It's Europe, most of us use Debit. The receptionist didn't mention we have breakfast included, found out on the last day, could have saved some money. Of course the furniture it's older, that's expected in a boutique hotel like this, but some things were simply too worn out like the couch had a hole in the tapestry.

It's a very charming hotel, especially the bar/breakfast area, playing lovely jazz music. It really feels like you are in Agatha Christie's story from the belle epoque. The staff are very polite and helpful, the breakfast delicious, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom beautiful and the shower large and high pressure.

Some details. The furniture in the room was vintage, but could really have been better quality and condition. The tea bags and cups provided in the room just don't work: gigantic tea bags for tiny cups, making a tea was really messy and you get a tiny amount or an overflow; no milk provided for tea. I had a single duvet cover for a double bed, which I feel is odd even if the room was booked for one person.

The location is very nice and close to the center and to the Ubhan. Nearby, there are a lot of good restaurants to discover. Also, the breakfast was delicious and fresh.

There was some damage to the ceiling in the lobby and in our room, it looked like it was negligent from their side not to fix it. Also, the lights in our room weren’t all functionable, again, it seemed like they ‘don’t fix’ the small details.

A lovely hotel in a pretty street that was convenient for main transport routes , shops and restaurants. An extremely comfortable , friendly hotel , beautifully presented, tastefully decorated rooms and public spaces .

Delightful hotel, can't recommend it enough - stylish old charm, helpful staff, quiet and comfortable rooms with pretty decor, nice breakfasts, great location. Literally can't fault it and will definitely be back. The staff were super helpful and accommodating with last minute changes two of us had to make to our bookings. All in all a great find!

A little gem in a lovely area! I felt like a guest in an old family house. Just loved the atmosphere! The evening bread was fantastic, like cherry on the cake. There are very good Italian restaurants just 100 meters from the hotel. (The smaller one was my favourite)

The Place is exceptionally convenient. It is in the heart of Paris, accessible to several metro, bus, and RER lines, but quiet and calm because of the apartment setting. By the way, the apartment is a historical landmark. The people in charge were responsive and helpful. The Apartment has everything one needs, modern and classic at the same time, and clean.

Room was beautiful. Breakfast (and all extra foods) exceptional. Locations very nice - lots of galleries and shopping.

Evenings were noisy from hotel across the street. It was warm at night so we needed to keep our windows open.
