Beautiful property with high ceiling rooms, huge very comfortable bed and a great shower. All the Staff are incredible and the bar is one of the coolest in all of Berlin with great cocktails and a sh making a great vibe!

The eye-watering cost of food and drink in the hotel…. Average cocktail is £17-19 Euros each, while a very basic buffet breakfast was … wait for it…€45 per person… yeas.. seriously!!!…€45 !!!… I have stayed at 5 star park avenue hotels in New York that would be embarassed to charge that much for Breakfast.. - so €100 for 2 with the tip.. more than I paid the previous night for a 3 course Italian meal with wine!!!

Our requests for certain rooms was fulfilled. General service and check in were excellent

Very classy but unique and stylish hotel, we loved everything about this hotel. Full of life… The high quality and looks of the interior design was fantastic Smokers don’t feel out of place and don’t feel not wanted as there is a great outside area to smoke and take your drink with you… Absolutely loved out stay and we will be back

Had difficulties finding the carpark for the hotel, it would be great to receive a map before arrival. During check in, we were not informed that a private function would take place the same evening and were asked politely to leave the bar. When we returned late evening, we were not able to get a drink or an alternative option, we were simply refused entrance to the bar… Special thanks to Ali (security Manager) who assisted us in a very professional manner, he saved the night for us…

The hotel was magnificent in every way - a hidden gem as you could not tell from the street that this is such a unique and luxurious hotel. The lift was quirky - there is an imitation camera flash as the lift ascends which was quite funny each time it happened. The food was the best I have ever tasted.

We were asked for a £300 deposit which was not advised in advance. There was no mention of this on Booking.Com and I was not in a position to 'lose' £300 for 4 days as I needed this for spending money on the trip.

We had a really nice stay, and the location was great but think if we had known there was a 100 euro deposit per night that needs to be paid when checking in, I might have chosen somewhere else … this wasn’t said anywhere online when booking

The room was a good size with high ceilings. The location was also very central, access to nearby clubs and bars, and lots of places to shop. Transport links are close by, so getting around was not an issue. Good bar downstairs and access to the roof terrace after 6pm, we were told hotel guests don't have to book which is nice as its a popular place

The biggest downside of the experience were the pillows provided by the hotel. They were extremely soft and made it very difficult to have a comfortable nights sleep. My advice is bring your own pillow if you are staying at this hotel. We asked staff for firmer pillows but they didn't have any. A minor thing for us but might be a big deal for others is that the terrace is quite busy up until 2-3am on weekends and the music can be heard from your room.

This is a beautiful Hotel with a lovely atmosphere. The location is great in terms of visiting landmarks within the City and is only 10 minutes walk from Berlin Zoo. Plenty of Restaurants, Bars and Coffee shops nearby. We found the Reception Staff helpful and friendly on check in with good suggestions about how to spend our time in Berlin. Although we had only booked the Petit Room it was spacious enough and immaculately clean. Housekeeping was excellent. We spent time in the Bar most evenings and the Staff here were lovely, although Friday and Saturday evening the atmosphere changed and it was extremely busy with non residents. Security staff that evening were less than friendly! Highly recommend staying here. We hope to return.

There was a 600€ bond on arrival, which we were aware of beforehand, but £547 was debited immediately from my bank account and only £525 was refunded on departure. I emailed the Hotel, but have not received a reply. This seems unreasonable as we were told that no money would actually be taken and we had no charge against our room. Worth being aware of and rather disappointing. I think we’d pay the bond in cash next time and hope to get the whole amount back, rather than being dependent on the exchange rate! Also, the Rooftop Bar was fully booked during our stay, so we were unable to enjoy the view!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel exuded a tranquil and serene ambiance. The sensory experience was enhanced by the exceptional aromas and visual aesthetics. The convenience of having a renowned restaurant and bar within the hotel’s premises further contributed to the overall experience, eliminating the need for external exploration.

It would be greatly appreciated if each room at the Zoo Hotel were equipped with a bathtub. My most memorable experiences at the hotel were spent relaxing in the bathtub with my partner after a day of shopping. The inclusion of bathtubs in the rooms would be exceptional, as they are slightly larger than the standard rooms.

The Hotel Zoo was a splendid hotel in Charlottenburg which is a very nice district in the former western sector of Berlin. I had stayed at the hotel several times but many years ago in the 1990s. Since then, the interior was gutted and a very modern interior was constructed while retaining the original front of the hotel. I certainly would return.

The hotel bar was dark and uncomfortable and turned into a sort of nightclub on weekend nights. I would suggest serving drinks in the main lobby to those guests who want something "quieter." The staff was a bit "formal" at times.

The hotel overall is very opulent, with the drinks and food being somewhat expensive. Breakfast at the hotel was €45:00 each, which, although the selection was vast, the price didn’t match the occasion, ie, it was just breakfast. Staff overall were helpful and friendly, but, I would add one critique where the Security Staff are concerned, pay more attention to the paying, hotel guests when the lift is out of action, and pay less attention to the pretty rooftop bar visitors. The bar on the top floor is lovely and definitely worth going to, although my husband and I found it a little pretentious. Music was a little loud from around lunchtime until the early hours, which has been noted in many other reviews. Overall, we had a nice break, in a very nicely themed hotel, with very helpful and friendly reception staff.

Being able to hear loud music for most of the day and night. We didn’t complain about it, as previous guests had done so in the past, but to no avail.
