What a fantastic hotel with exemplary service! Staff were extremely friendly and went above & beyond to make sure everything we needed was catered for, I made last minute requests for flowers and the concierge quickly understood what I wanted and delivered a beautiful arrangement. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Thank you to everyone working at Hotel Zoo.

Our room had a king size bed made of 2 single beds which kept separating (but I move a lot), I wish there was anything holding the beds together to avoid a falling hazard. Otherwise a very very near perfect room & hotel

The decor and location are top notch. My wife and i stayed for several days and opted to stay one more. Our room wasn't available because the hotel was fully booked but we got a different type of room instead and it was just as good. Special shout out to Dieter, one of the staff who went out of his way to find us a room we liked and was endlessly positive really turning around our day. Not only that but when the staff gave us options dieter was nudging them with suggestions he knew we would prefer instead. Truly an amazing soul. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the 6th floor has floor to ceiling windows so if you can get a room on that floor your stay will feel all the more cinematic. All the staff are amazing and very professional. The breakfast is outstanding and you feel like your having croissants in Gatsbys dining room. The location is literally surrounded by all the best shopping in Berlin and its ideal if you want a unique experience without being a noisy luxury experience.

When we left the staff said we had room service charges despite us not having ordered any room service in addition to them not having an actual record of it but we still had to pay it regardless.

Excellent concierge (Stephan)

The attitude of the host for the rooftop bar. She claimed snobishly it requires certain dress attire. It was late in the afternoon and we were dressed enough an similar to the rest of the crowd. Eventually we went up beacuse on of the local guests insisted that we disregard the host's comment.

We have stayed in the Hotel Zoo for a weekend while travelling to a concert of the AIR / french band. We wanted to stay nearby the venue, which was Theater des Westens, and this was just a perfect choice. The hotel had a lovely scent and the lobby and room itself were very cosy and pretty. As both I and my friend (whom I have travelled with) are lovers of quirky decorations, we really enjoyed the vibe of the hotel. We didn't go to the Grace bar, so I cannot say any word about it, but the hotel was very suitable for us.

The location is fantastic. 10 minute walk from the train to the hotel coming in a straight line from the airport< Everything can be done by foot. The area is super nice with great german restaurants and lovely shops. The hop on hop off bus stops in front of the hotel.

We did one morning breakfast in the hotel and that was not money worth while. We should have ordered from a la cart but realised this after taking food from the buffet. Its not a lavish buffet. Very standard options. But all fresh and staff was lovely.

The room was cute and cosy - the art on the wall was a little weird, but overall the room was comfortable and had nice amenities.

The noise from the ground floor was unbelievable. We stayed there two nights - one of them being NYE - but the night before NYE was somehow worse. While the room has solid walls, so you can't hear what's going on in the room next to you, you can hear every note and every thump of the bass from the music on the ground floor. So for a light sleeper and an insomniac, this wasn't great.

Fabulous, eclectic decor throughout the hotel, extremely helpful and welcoming staff, very efficient room service, great location, wonderful bar, spacious modern rooms with great facilities, comfortable beds, superbly decorated for the holiday season.

On the side of the hotel we were staying on there was some regular train noise and a little bit of noise in the mornings coming from upstairs. The room service options could have been better for vegetarians.

Overall had a fantastic stay, the hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and it was a great location. My son and I will not forget our trip and would recommend.

When ordering food in the room, the menu on the tv shows a cheaper price and I felt the room service charge was over priced and this charge was not clear. Also, the painting in the room would be inoffensive if I had travelled with adult but with a child, it felt a bit uncomfortable having en explicit painting.

In some areas design triumphed over functionality, particularly in our room where the bathroom lighting was gloomy Wall art might not be to everyone's taste..We didn't eat in as breakfast was expensive and restaurant seemed a bit pretentious. Lots of other restaurants and coffeehouses nearby.
