To begin with - the first bonus question - abought a quiet room, i do not think i asked for that. But, the room we had was a bit away from all the others, we had a little problem to find it when we came. And it was very quiet there and we loved the room, more and more. And the stairway up looked not to good, but we started to like it very much and did feel more like we were living in a house rather than a hotel. Maibe it is still the same since before the wall was taken down, do not know. We did not use the breakfast from the hotel, went all mornings to a bakery on the corner, and they were very good. The last morning we took the breakfast in hotel Zarenhof, it was good, nothing to complain there. For us in this wisit the location was perfect, close to our friends who live there. It is in a walking distense from all the higlights in Berlin, the Brandenburg, Radhause and all those buildings. And the train goes just in front so if not walk, then the train. We were staying there for almos one week, loved it and perhaps we will come again.
If something - the first impression could be better. We are not used to so much grafity on every building like almost all Berlin is sprayed, and in front of the hotel could be a bit more cleaning. But, that was mostly leafs and small things. Other parts of the hotel are as clean and nice as possible, but there are some parts that are just "tired". But having said that - those things were not something we "did not like".

fantastic architecture and the room was spacious and beautiful. A real gem. Personnel was polite. Considering the location, if you have been to Berlin you know how perfect it is
I would like a better sign of the reception on the main street. Also the inner balconies are looking in the inside square, so whoever speaks loud on the balcony, the sound is greater since it is amplified. Thus, a sign in each room to keep it quiet would be efficient considering that I got woke up by some other people that they were preparing to leave at 5 am with the window open...

I loved everything about this apartment hotel. The room was a good size with its own balcony. There was a little kitchenette (microwave, hob, kettle) with plates and cutlery and a fridge so you could choose to eat breakfast in the hotel at a reasonable price or get your own. Whilst you can use the fridge for your own items, there is also a mini bar available at a very reasonable price. There was a nice little desk and lamp if you need to work from here, the Wifi connection was great. It is in a perfect location right next to a busy area with loads of bars, restaurants, mini markets, bakeries. Everything you could need within walking distance. It is a great location for public transport and visiting sights - role off the U-Bahn and it's a couple of minutes to the hotel. I felt pretty safe the whole time and I was travelling alone at some late hours. The area was well lit with lots of people around. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel itself is set back off the main road through a security door and under the archway into a back courtyard so despite being very central, it is very quiet and easy to get a good night's sleep. Although it doesn't have air conditioning, there was an electric fan in the room and you can leave the balcony doors open to catch some breeze.

We checked in late - 11pm and our room was on the top floor and comfortable but it did not have a kettle. My husband is a caffeine addict so in the morning I requested a kettle and we were actually moved to another room on the second floor with a kitchenette and balcony. It was just right and the receptionist even brought the new key to our old room in the morning. I was very impressed with their customer service and the breakfast was great too with a very good selection of hot and cold food. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby in this bustling part of Berlin.
The decor and furnishings are a little tired but everything is clean and functional. The bathrooms in both rooms were decent and there are hairdryers and a magnified mirror too.

We stayed in the superior room which was really comfortable, lots of space and it has a big balcony and kitchenette. The location is really great if you have the welcome pass for unlimited travel (welcome pass website) because you can get anywhere in the city from the station around the corner and the trams. The area is quite trendy and feels a little like Camden in London, lots of restaurants and little clothes shops, it doesn't feel super touristy.
We would have had the breakfast if it was a bit cheaper because it looked good.

The room was bigger than expected! It was clean and the couch was very comfortable! There is also a fridge and a small kitchen in the room with a coffee machine! The breakfast was delicious there are enough choices such as eggs, scrambled eggs, bread cheese, turkey, salads, cakes, marmalade, croissants and many other delicious things! (Value of money) The location is very well 👌 You don’t need to worry about the transportation.. you are in Berlin! You need only 10’ or 20’ to reach the centre(with a tram or u-Bahn, it depends where you want to go). The best thing was that the hotel located in a garden behind the Main Street and that makes it very quiet! If you are on Sunday there don’t forget to visit the Flohmarkt in Mauerpark, just 5’ by foot!! On your check out-day you can leave your suitcases at the reception and that was very appreciated! There are also some beautiful bars/cafes/bakeries near the hotel! Generally it is nice to be near the centre but not really in the city centre, because you will see a beautiful neighbourhood in Berlin and at the same time you will be very close to the City Centre, that you ‘ll see anyways!! Thank you for everything 🤩
The only problem was that in the bathroom there was no drain on the floor and you have to be a bit careful because there is no way for the water to flow out. That was not a big deal, but maybe a mop in the room was needed.

The hotel is located in a great area, reachable by Tram and U-Bahn, surrounded by lively restaurants, cafes and shops. Close by are the Mauerpark and the Bernauer Strasse Memorial. We were a family with a baby and they were very helpful to accommodate a small kid's bed. The room was very big (we booked the deluxe apartment because we needed a microwave and a fridge for the baby), with lots of windows, high ceilings and all in all very comfortable. We didn't have breakfast but in the breakfast area there's a coffee machine for 1€, which we used a couple of times. All in all, for a 3 night stay, it was great!
The only thing that was a bit annoying, was that although the hotel says they have an elevator, you need to go up a couple of steps before reaching it, which for a stroller and a tired/sleeping baby in it, proved to be a challenge.

The hotel/apartment is great because it's located in an inner courtyard, making it very quiet even at night, despite being situated on a boulevard where trams and trains run. This also means excellent direct connectivity to central and eastern Berlin. There are also plenty of different restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store and a drugstore. The room itself is cozy, basic, with a small kitchen and a balcony, providing everything you need for a few nights.
During my stay, it got quite chilly outside, and since the room was on the ground floor, it was rather cold. However, the radiators couldn't be adjusted to heat up.

Very good location directly next to U-bahn Eberswalderstrasse to Alexanderplatz (3 stops) and direct connection with tram M10 to Hauptbahnhof. Prenzlauerberg is a nice, clean and safe area to stay with lots of options for dinner and shopping.
Bit outdated hotel room, but shower and beds were good and that is all that counts for us. We had a deluxe room with refrigerator and a large balcony which was nice to have.

OK hotel with excellent value for money, super close to metro and other transport options, plenty of coffee shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. The rooms are as shown on the booking page and while the entrance is somewhat unusual, our kids loved walking the red carpet every day! Stayed at a family room and we had plenty of space both for all 4 of us and a couple of suitcases. Appreciated everyday cleaning and fresh towels.
The furniture and the bathrooms are a bit outdated but not terrible. There can be some sound from the streets. The staff was delightful except for one person at the reception who made us feel like a nuisance.
