Location along the river was fantastic close enough to walk to the action of the little town but far enough a way to avoid the congestion. The room worked perfectly for my wife daughter and I everything worked fine. The shower was a little small. The breakfast was beyond good. I would go back again just for the breakfast. It was very peaceful. Quiet parking was great and the owners were warm and inviting.

Great location along the river side. Herr Stumberger was very welcoming and always happy to help. It clearly shows that he takes pride in running the establishment. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the fan provided was much welcome during the end of July heatwave in Germany. Breakfast is good with a decent selection catering to vegetarians like ourselves. It was refreshing to have eggs cooked to order the way we liked it. The coffee was exceptional.

The rooms could be modernised a bit more but understandably difficult for such a small establishment.

The location is perfect, sat right on the river, and only a 10 minute walk to the busy town centre. We arrived on motorbikes and a space was saved for us to park them under cover, which is an overhang of the hotel above. It was very hot and the hotelier kindly offered us a couple of ice cold beers before the outside bar area closed. This was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Breakfast is good and all fresh..Beds are comfy and the bathroom is spotless and modern. This is the third time we have used Stumbergers and will continue to use this place as our primary stopping point to and from the ferry port at Rotterdam as its just the right distance/time in one day. 10 out of 10.

There was nothing to dislike.

This was a magnificent place, very easy walking to the Schloss as well as the centre of town in Cochem (25 mins walk) lovely along the river and if you want a diversion to the Schloss, add an additional walk up of 25 minutes, very worth it. The hotel had lovely staff, lovely rooms and the breakfast rooms were a delight looking over the Mosel. The breakfast was typical German, large and with plenty of choice. Restaurants in the area were easy access and had numerous choices especially in the centre.

We had to take our bags up a number of steps, however we had willing help from the owners. It was very acceptable, but need to be aware of the steps involved.

The room was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. It was much better than the pictures looked online. The breakfast was also very good! Will definitely come back here.

We had motorcycles with us but there was no secured space to park them. Although no thefts have taken place for the past 20 years according to the owner it's still not a comfortable thought to have your motorcycle unprotected outside at night. A simple solution would be to add some wall mounts in the covered parking spots to lock your motorcycle to.

The location was great, just a 15-minute walk to the city center, with a beautiful view of the mountain and the castle from the balcony. The staff were kind and helpful, and the breakfast was simple but satisfying.

There was no air conditioning, but a good fan was provided, which was helpful. However, in warmer weather, it might be difficult without air conditioning

Being picky - hairdryer could do with update and little road traffic noise due to location but didn’t spoil our trip being out of season

Very clean comfortable but simple rooms. Loved having a balcony. Nice breakfast but would have liked some hot meat options.

Per booking.com our reservation included breakfast, when we arrived they charged us an additional 10 euros per person (x3) for our room. I was too tired to say anything but would not have wanted to pay 30 euros more for this room.

Lovely and comfortable room. Large balcony with view of castle and river. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location for walking into town. No smoking in the breakfast room gets an A+ from us. Nice beer garden on grounds for lunch.

Stairs were dark and a bit hard to navigate with heavy luggage. Next door neighbors smoking on balcony limited our time outside but only on one day.

The check-in and check out process was very easy. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean. The breakfast was superb. They have fresh bread and different cheese. They also have an espresso if you love coffee. They have plenty of parking.

Did not have enough toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.
