Hotel Waldfriede is an old characteristic villa, which is run with love, at short distance of the center of Darmstadt or Eberstadt because of the nearby (direct) Strassenbahns. The first time we stayed at hotel Waldfriede, we used a breakfast, which was very good. It is served in a beautiful, tastefully decorated, room by the friendly and good-spirited owner. Hotel Waldfriede is located in a quiet and stylish neighbourhood of Darmstadt(-Eberstadt). We wake up with birds singing in the garden surrounding the hotel.

Very nice old villa in quite place, surrounded by other villas and trees. Old building with style. Parking on-site. Very nice and helpful people. Breakfest on location on-demand (simple but fresh and very cost effective). Really nice place to travel with partner. Close to Darmstadt centre, Frankfurt and many other historic and landmark locations (eg. Heidelberg, Castle Frankenstein, Auerbach etc.)

This hotel was our best stop during our 3 week trip around Europe, The hotel was comfortable, spacious, and the breakfasts were great. The Waldfriede was superior in a lot of ways, but by far the best part was the staff. The manager, handyman, breakfast preparing guy, was really awesome. I hope to come back to the area in the near future to have a beer and chat with him again.

It's hard to really find much fault with the place, They clearly and honestly list that their wifi isn't the best, I hope they can improve that for a future stay.

Very nice and friendy host, the hotel is in an old, but beautiful villa with a super warm, welcoming atmosphere, it is not modern, but has a lot of old charme

Located in a very charming house. Every room was nicely decorated in style. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast in a spacious and stylish room. Great access to the centre of Darmstadt by tramway.

Breakfast was good: bread, cheese, fruitjuice, jam, marmalade, tomate, cucumber, coffe, tea Mr. Scharf was very friendly and helpful It's a beatiful old house from 100 years, renovated as hotel Room well-cleaned and equipped for a minimal stay : beds, small tv, hairdryer, towels and bath articles. Please remember to call / say you arriving time before going. We were lucky and found Mr. Scharf there when we arrived without calling him before.

It's a beatiful old house from 100 years, renovated as hotel, therefore you can find things like: squeaky floor, light from corridor through main door's room, bath doors not closing correctly at the first time.... It's a matter of taste. These things dont bother us.

It is a nice old building, the room very spacious, the owner is warm-hearted and helpful, he carried our 2 big luggage by himself to 2nd floor

Only the shower facilities could be a bit more upgraded, but it worked fine. The water was hot.
