We were given a quiet room with a nice view of the mountains. Room was very clean and we were glad to have a phone and a hotwater kettle. The refrig was not connected, but there was one available if we needed one which we didn't as we were out with our friends most of the time. Location is very good, a few steps away from the Berliner Allee strassenbahn stop. Also there is an excellent Italian restaurant very nearby too and also a bakery and ice cream shop. Across the street from the hotel is a shopping mall with a market, restaurants, apotheke, getranke (drinks) market, and walking distance to a very wonderful SeePark.

Wish there was a clock in the room but the 3 hotels we stayed during our stay in Germany none of the hotels had them. Us old folks don't depend on our cell phones, we like to visually see the time of day without having to look at the cell phone.

I've stayed at the Stadt several times over the past year and every time, I've noticed (as have visitors/family) that where other staff in the hotel are absolutely charming and helpful and kind, a chill seems to descend on reception - a truly charmless spot in the hotel. If one smiles when passing through, there is absolutely no response. If one asks a question (eg. the key card doesn't work, or please may I have a taxi) the response is one of irritation. Other guests have commented the same to the point it's become a bit of a joke. Your hotel staff are wonderful. But your reception really does need a few training sessions in hospitallity!!!!

Clean, fantastic position to go to Messe conference center, hotel in front of tram station, large room, care to small things, breakfast very good and largely home made, beautiful garden,

I arrived at 23:00 and waited 20 min to have my key printed because of a problem to the software.

Wonderful breakfast with lovely staff. Ditto the cleaners. The room was immaculate.

Oddly, it was the reception desk that proved less welcoming - in one case, positively hostile and unpleasant, to the point where I tended to avoid reception if I had a question about a key card (on two occasions, it didn't work), or meeting friends.(The restaurant/bar staff were wonderful.) Maybe the Stadt Hotel reception is under pressure to an extent not visible to guests, but I did feel one or two receptionists needed a refresher course in hospitality!

The room was facing the parking garage while a garden was promised. Also, the ground parking behind the hotel was used by international travelling buses which run their engines in the night A lot of noise when garbage was collected early in one of the mornings, too The fridge didn't actually cool down

I stayed room only. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has easy access to an underground carpark. The hotel restaurant provided a delicious meal. The hotel provided a comprehensive booklet of local attractions. Reception and restaurant staff were polite, friendly and showed a genuinue interest in myself as a guest.

The room I stayed was very spacious and well decorated. It was very comfortable, and all amenities were top notch. Breakfasts are exceptional and all food is sourced from local producers, which is a huge plus. I loved everything about the place. Its location, staff, food, rooms, everything. I'll stay there if I go to Freiburg again.

Everything, especially the staff’s hospitality. Clean, quiet, underground car parking. Special thanks to the morning receptionist (unfortunately, we didn’t get his name). He was so polite and helpful with our check in and luggage.

The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was amazing as it was so hot in Freiburg during my stay.

Lighting - the room was a little dark. I couldn't work out how to open the blind fully. This meant that I needed the light on during the day.

Difficult to regulate the heating system in the room. Cleaning personel opened the window every morning and turned off the heating system
