The staff were so friendly and Christian the manager went above and beyond yo make us and our son happy. We could leave some items in the fridge behind the reception which was great and super helpful. The room was not big but fine and there was a TV and a shower. The breakfast was quite good and well maintained. The parking is behind a barrier and free. The old town is an easy 10 minute walk just across the bridge. Anything you need is there. Would come back for sure.

We have stayed here several times before. Reassuring when travelling to know we will get a good clean room and simple check in , 10 minutes walk from the rail station. Harburg has developed from an industrial clearance area to a pleasant waterside district in old dockland. Now has restaurants and an EDEKA near the hotel.

Football championships (not our reason to visit) boosted hotel prices throughout Hamburg. BB Harburg was more expensive than some previous trips but reasonable value when compared with alternatives. BB hotels do not provide in-room tea or coffee

The location is quite far away from the city center and the airport but as S-bahn station is just next to it the commute is quite nice. Breakfasts were great there is a variety of choices and everything is fresh and of good quality. The room is spacious and it was clean, it had all necessary furniture to unpack your luggage and rest.

There is a quite loud road and railway right outside the hotel - maybe offering earplugs would be a great option (or offering them to buy). Other than that I very much liked

A wonderful holiday with our friends at B&B hotel Harburg. The location is fantastic, especially for a semi-retired railway engineer as we were close to Harburg railway station and our room even over looked the tracks to the harbour. We have stayed at B&about Harburg for several years, and for us it is fantastic. This trip my son and I took journeys on various trains around Hamburg and beyond, sampling the food and beer as we went. We had long days out as the weather was very pleasant and there is always loads to do around the city. Of particular mention are the superb staff. The hotel manager was so kind, helpful, friendly and totally professional. When my son’s very late night flight from Hamburg airport back to England was cancelled, the hotel manager helped to sort out additional accommodation. A true professional and a total credit to the B&B company, especially as my son was very stressed because the airline he had booked with just abandoned him and told him to find his own way home. Thank you so much Herr Schneider, you rescued us from a horrible situation. We very much look forward to coming back again next year. Best Regards Dave, from East Sussex in England.

Ha ha…there was nothing we didn’t like…..apart from that our holiday came to an end and we had to go home. We would have loved to have stayed longer….but sadly it was back to work for us both. We will be back for sure, there is still so much to see and do and to explore.

Nothing I didn't like

The check in and check out system. It's super easy! However, I would appreciate it if the property owner informed me earlier about it during the reservation. Note that I booked the room for my cousin and he gave me the feedback based on his stay.

There's only one elevator. Could be a problem during rush hour. The room is also too small, but good enough for sleeping.

An efficient part of a trusted budget hotel chain. Location is in a suburb well away from City Centre (we knew this and had reasons to be here) but the nearby old docks are now being redeveloped into an interesting area. 10 minute walk to S Bahn station Staff recommended a really good restaurant nearby.

Hotel prices in Hamburg were high during our stay. This hotel was higher priced that sometimes but still good value when compared to the rest of the city.

Room located on backside of the building and was silent. Trains didn't disturb with window open all night. Air condition was good when used on one night. There were good cabinets for clothes for 5 days visit. Double bed was good though low but it made the room feel bigger. Room itself was big enough for sleeping and resting as we did. Not so good for just spending time because there were neither armchairs nor sofa but it didn't bother us. Bathroom was clean and shower cabinet was spacious. Breakfast was good enough and worth of cost. Short walk to Harburg city center and Rathaus S-Bahn. Bus stop was near and it was easy to get with bus to Harburg Hauptbahnhof. HVV app was great for planning trips with public traffic. Have to keep B&B hotels in mind when traveling.

The B&B Hotels in Europe I have used are all more or less identical: Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, good WiFi. Just like the B&B in Hamburg-Harburg. Good hotel for business travelers but also for tourist, Harburg is a very nice part of Hamburg. Beautiful combination of old and new. Restaurants and shops are close to the hotel, in 5 to 10 minutes walk. Parking is free. Train station and other public transport facilities close by. For EV travelers: There is a public 11Kw charging point at 150m from the hotel, close to the pedestrians bridge.

There is a railroad close to the hotel. Sometimes you can hear a train, but it is not very loud.

Isabella from breakfast was great. Overall we found the location good. We had a 15 minute walk to the University, if you don't mind crossing over the train, highway on a small metal bridge just across from the reception of the hotel, which is not given on google maps directions. It was also a quick walk from the train station, but google maps was necessary. Hotel was clean enough and affordable for our budget. The room was nicely cleaned everyday, and I appreciated having airconditioning.
