We stayed two nights in this very clean, great location hotel, the reception staff speak perfect English and were very helpful and kind. Our room #7 is a good size with a long counter and enough closet space for clothes. The bathroom is a little tight but clean with excellent shower. Breakfast is bountiful, excellent coffee and table already set up for us in the morning, which is a nice touch for the hotel guests. This is a perfect location for walking and hiking in the surrounding areas of the old town and hills, and we would love to stay here again.

Reception greeting were really welcoming. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast was very good. Isabel and Dennis were exceptionally helpful.

The only downside was that the attitude of the waiter and waitress in the evening restaurant.

My expectations were high based on previous reviews—and I was still thoroughly charmed by our stay at this lovely family-run hotel. There were three of us, but the room was more than spacious enough for us and all our luggage. I especially appreciated the entry room before the main sleeping area, where we could store jackets and shoes. It also housed the bathroom door, which meant nighttime bathroom trips didn’t disturb the rest of us—unlike other triple rooms we stayed in. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. I had been concerned about potential street noise, but was amazed at how completely the sound disappeared once the windows were closed. The AC kept the muggy nights perfectly comfortable. The room included a small refrigerator (tucked inside the desk cabinet) and thoughtful touches like complimentary wine, water, gummy bears, and earplugs. I’m a light sleeper and didn’t even need the earplugs! We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant—both meals were delicious and absolutely worth it. The hotel is right in the heart of the old town, with the Old Bridge visible from our window. The staff were a true delight—helpful, kind, and a pleasure to interact with throughout our stay.

The terrace with our room was fantastic! The location is really good - right in the centre of the old city (Altstadt). The room was really spacious. We also had a view of the castle from the bedroom window, which was a nice extra. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - especially the guy doing the breakfasts!

Bathroom could be updated - all a bit plastic. I’ll never understand the point of this ineffective mini-fridges with no ice-making facility! Especially given the price! There were no cups in the room even though there was a kettle, which seemed a bit slack but reception gave us some immediately so not a problem.

We stayed in the attic room which was large and very comfortable with a great view to the castle. The location was excellent being so close to the old bridge, and within old town. The food at the hotel was also excellent with a modest but more than adequate breakfast in traditional surroundings. A lift to the third level helped to minimise the climb to the attic room on the fourth floor.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, but the stairs to the fourth floor could pose a problem for people with mobility issues.

we stayed in the apartment, and it was better than the pictures showed. The hotel is on a busy street, but the apartment is at the back of the hotel and perfectly quiet. there are views of a quiet courtyard, lots of quaint houses, and the castle. The room was big with lots of windows, air con and fan. The bed was comfy and there were plenty if lighting options. There was a fridge and kettle, but no cooking facilities- but plenty of dining out options. The outdoor terrace was lovely, we sat out there for a drink every afternoon.

The only slight setback was that light leaked into the room at night because there were no block out blinds. however this was easily remedied with an eye mask and we slept very soundly.

The location of this hotel is perfect, and the hospitality couldn't have been better. While the rooms are fairly basic, they are larger than most and exceptionally clean (and who doesn't love Haribo gummies on your pillow?). We stayed two nights for the Christmas markets and appreciated the central location as we could stop by to drop packages or take a quick break from the cold. We also ate in the restaurant one night, and it was one of the best meals of our trip. Don't hesitate to put this small hotel on your reservation list.

Very central to old town, staff very helpful and professional. Room very comfortable and spacious. Very nice welcoming touch of a half bottle of red wine. The restaurant was very popular although we only had breakfast.

Nothing. It is a very good place to stay in the off-season but given it’s located on a street with lots of bars and restaurants the rooms facing the street would be noisy due to outdoor eating and drinking over the summer, so if you’re sensitive to noise suggest asking for a room at the back.

My family and I were so pleased with our stay. The rooms were clean and had great touches like complimentary wine, water, luggage rack, iron, etc. The staff for the hotel were warm and welcoming. Great communication beforehand, too. We got the breakfast, and it was reasonably priced as well as delicious. I didn't give them 10 because as we were waiting for check-in time, we decided to get some drinks and food at the restaurant. The waitress was very rude to us. She slammed the menus down on the table and proceeded to help 3 or 4 other tables before returning to us 30 minutes later. I was worried that this might be a bad visit, but it was the only incident. The two male workers were very attentive and helpful.

The location is unbeatable. Extremely helpful and friendly staff and great food at the restaurant . Will definitely consider staying here again

Honestly, I can't really think of anything. If I had to nitpick, I would tell people that you may have to do a bag drag through the marktplatz from where you park if you arrive during a busy time like we did, but some of that should be expected if tying to stay downtown in a busy touristy German City.
