The staff were so nice and helpful. We got to the hotel and they helped us get our luggage to the room. The room was large, clean, and spacious. Great location everything is right around the corner and the hotel has a beautiful restaurant. They also have parking that is secure with a gate around the corner.

I drove to the location and Google maps said we arrived but the hotel is actually down the Alleyway. We parked the car on the street and walked to the hotel because we didn’t know if we could drive down the alley. The hotel has several buildings. Our building had really steep stairs to get up to the room. I saw 2 elderly couples struggling to get up the stairs so if you have mobility issues this might be a problem.

The location was absolutely perfect. It’s located in the heart of downtown Heidelberg and we were able to walk everywhere. I also loved the proximity to their restaurant which was amazing.

The bathroom wasn’t very clean. The housekeeper left the soap bar wrapper on the sink and upon throwing it away, I discovered the trash had not been emptied. The beds were not comfortable at all. They were super hard mattresses. For the cost of the hotel, I found our room a little underwhelming. Lastly, while it was great to have a dedicated parking garage (for a daily fee) it is not as convenient as we had hoped.

One couldn’t find a more convenient location central to everything in the old district, and reasonably priced public parking just steps around the corner. The restaurant and guest breakfast room are charming. Their is an elevator, however, their are steps up to reception and steps down to some rooms after the elevator, so if mobility is an issue, let them know. Everything was absolutely spotless and comfortable.

Room was a bit obtuse to find. They could have a layout map online or given at reception to show guests where breakfast room, room, and reception services are each located.

The best is the location in the Heidelberg Altstad. Ideal to exploret thetown early in teh morning before the tourist masses invade the town. The reception staff was helful and nice. The breakfast is in a large traditional room.

The hotel rooms are distributed in several (old) buildings. In my case it was teh equivalent of a fourth floor. No lift. It is Ok fro an old house, but should be better advertised before the booking. The floor of my room was not clean.

The hotel was cozy, no issues with the comfort. Somewhat difficult to find, but once you notice the knight statue it becomes routine. The beds were a good size, the bathrooms were good, worth the money. The staff was very helpful and professional. Answered all questions quickly. Went out of their way to find a taxi for me and my wife on a Sunday morning, which, was very difficult to do. The cleaning staff were also very professional. Great location. It has spectacular sights. Easy to explore. Centrally located. Cant say enough how this hotel helped in enabling me and my wife got to experience the best of Heidleberg. You walk out and the castle, river, and church are all there.

One very minor thing I noticed that had nothing to do with the room: The elevator has a wierd function where when you are on the 2nd floor it needs to open and close the door twice before proceeding to the bottom floor.

The room was really spacious and cozy. The bed was very good. Our little kids slept very good for the entire night. The restaurant is also a micro brewery. Beer is exceptionally incredible and second to none in this town. I have been dining here since 2014 and keep returning for the beer and foods!

It was sad that, for the room at this price, there is no basic amenity like a kettle in the room. I had to walk down to the reception and asked for it. Still, it was not available as there were only three of them and all were occupied. While this is not something major, but it could have been better to comfort all guests.

Fantastic location 2 mins walk from the square and beautiful restaurant / bar with lovely outside beer garden. Beautiful bar, typical of German brauhaus. Lovely courtyard with rooms on site. A lovely place to spend a few days.

My room didn’t have aircon (not usually a problem) but was warm when we were there and had to sleep with window open … woken by the birds at 5am! But that’s it, room was very nice, traditionally furnished, nice shower room

We were a group of seven--two young adult couples, one middle-age couple, and one elderly parent. We asked to be in the older part of the hotel in near-adjacent rooms, but they were not handicap accessible (for my elderly mother). The staff was able to accommodate her in another modern and accessible location--just around the corner and closer to the restaurant--with no fuss. Greatly appreciate that! Meanwhile, the older hotel was quirky and fun--even with the pigeons in the rafters--while also very clean and comfortable. Also appreciated the location--just steps from the river in one direction and a lovely square in the other direction. The associated restaurant brewery was fabulous--we ate there for breakfast, of course, but also a dinner meal--and there were other eating/drinking options a short walk away. Finally, the parking was available as we had to have cars (for my mother).

The pigeons roosting in one room were a surprise, but we eventually got them out with much hilarity. (Likely our fault for leaving the window open!) My super-tall son-in-law bumped his head a few times on the rafters in his room and the winding stairs might be difficult for some people, but that was part of the charm of the older building and we enjoyed it!

The best two things about this hotel is the location and the staff but these are not the only reasons to stay there. They have a beautifully decorated restaurant and a beer garden which is iluminated by the sun. But don't worry, you won't get sunburned, since the seating area is protected by ombrelones. We stayed there for 2 nights and we recommed eating at the restaurant, which serves delicious authentic German food. It's also worth having breakfast there. The bread is crunchy and kept warm as if it had just come out of the oven. The scramble eggs is prepared on the spot. The room is comfortable and have good blinds which allows you to sleep in late. The area is quiet and you can hear birds singing. They have limited parking space so you have to book that in advance. They charge 20 euros per day. There is also public parking next to it. I used the P13 which costs around 20 euros per day. It's very close and practical. We were traveling with our bernese mountain dog and I must say that this is truly a dog friendly place. However, if you have a large dog (50 kg), ask for a room on the ground floor. The stairs were a little slippery for the dog to climb but nothing that we couldn't manage.

This place has an excellent location with an easy and walking distance access to all city sights. All the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We got our room upgraded to a Suite which was a very nice surprise. This room is absolutely lovely with a view on the Castle. The restaurant and own brewery downstairs offers absolutely gorgeous beer and very delicious food. The breakfast was also awesome. The hotel has its own garage just on the next street, but the parking place must be booked in advance. There is also a large underground parking on the square nearby. The front desk lady was very helpful and allowed us to leave the car in the garage for a few hours after checkout while we walked around the city. Really not sure if there is a better place to stay in Heidelberg than this. This is surely one of those places that you want to return to.
