We had what was called ‘ a studio apartment ‘ in the annex. I would call it a large room and not an apartment since there are no cooking facilities The room was very pleasant , comfortable and spacious , and the shower was great. It was close to the High street but far enough away to be quiet Lots of eateries nearby

The distance from the check in hotel to the annex is enough to be a bit tricky to negotiate with luggage on foot , and not easy to manage with a car It would be helpful if the street address of the annex were shared so people could think in advance about the logistics

I loved the location of this hotel. With the hotel beer garden right next-door and then an excellent restaurant across street it was a great option for our family. It was also an easy walk to all the touristy parts of the city without being right in the chaos.

The only thing I didn’t love about this hotel was that we were on the bottom floor so it wasn’t as quiet and also we only had one fan for the three rooms.

I stayed in the annex. The room was huge with great wifi and a big, comfy bed. The place was quite old, so I was worried it would be cold in the 0-4 degree C weather, but the heaters were very efficient and the hot water in the sink and shower was actually hot and heated up quickly. The room came with coffee plus coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a tiny mini-fridge. The location was right in the center of Altstadt.

The floors were *super* creaky. I couldn't take one step without making tons of noise (I'm an average-sized woman with a light step). I was on the top floor, so I could only hear the creaks made by me, but I would not have liked to be in the room below me. The street noise was also quite loud on the Friday night during my stay (though the accommodation supplies you with ear plugs), so is something to keep in mind if you're easily disturbed.

Close to town in the old town

Needed dish washing utensils & a microwave. Owner was rather rude when we arrived an hour early even though the room was ready. A bit of give n take mate would make folk happier

Room was very spacious with an update bathroom. We found the bed to be larger than the average size. Location was great, a 2-minute walk to where the old town starts. A short walk to shops and restaurants. If you want to go into the main city, a train station is about a 4-minute walk. Close to the castle / rail. If you want to go mountain bike riding, this is a great location to start at the bottom of the hill. The walk to the river was a short distance and all up around a 1hr round trip. The windows are thin panes of glass so I can understand on a busy night in the onsite beer garden, this could be quite disruptive with noise, but we never experienced this.

- The key entry to the room was a nightmare for us to lock / unlock! - Checking in was a bit of a mystery at first until we realised we had to go into the pub (next door on the right). We felt at the time we were a bit of an inconvenience to the staff that checked us in.

Excellent location. The room is spacious and airy. Beds are firm and comfortable. Overall, it's an excellent room.

Check in can be a bit of annoying. With no reception desk, you have to wait until its restaurant open to check in. Therefore, no luggage storage at all. So don't bother to wish to leave your luggages earlier than the check in time. Also if there is a microwave, that would be a great bonus.

Very spacious with luxury bathroom (both seperate shower and bathtub). A small mini-fridge included. A fan aswell, no AC. Our room was situated right in the center of Old Town in Heidelberg, seperate from their main location at the restaurant. No serious noise complaint or some such. Great and friendly staff. We definately see ourselves coming back to this.

Fantastic location and very comfortable bedding making it easy to sleep. Don't sit on the bed unless you want to fall asleep, that kind of comfort. Down the stairs and you out in the heart of Heidelberg. Tidy and quaint.

The shower was a little tight and hard to adjust. The fridge didn't get cold enough

Maria was an amazing host. She was very accommodating and caring. We slso enjoyed a fabulous dinner at their restaurant We want to live there!! The rooms were larger than we expected, more than expected for Europe mini apartments basically

There was a smell of cigarettes from somewhere We could not locate the source. We don’t smoke This was at the other location on Kettengasse

Great location in the centre of the Alt Stadt and surrounded by restaurants. The room and bathroom is large with a very comfortable bed and pillows. It can be noisy with restaurant on the ground level but to me that added to the charm.

Cigarette smoke each night from the customers down stairs was hard to avoid until the business closed for the night, but that's likely to be an issue across the area.
