This quaint hotel was in a great location. It was right along the river by the bridge. It was very close to the old town and shopping and restaurants. The parking was not directly on site so we dropped off the luggage and brought it to the room and then we went to park the car which is probably about a half a mile walk from the hotel. Definitely do not try to wheel your luggage back to the parking lot after checking out as you may break your wheels. The hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast was sparse but good. Lots of fresh rolls, jams, cheese cold cuts, cereal, hard or soft boiled eggs, coffee, tea and juice. Also a few fruits. The bed was comfy and I would definitely stay there again. Keep in mind, there is no elevator. We were on the first floor so it wasn't an issue. There is also Heidelberg Castle, that if the funicular is working you take that, otherwise the free bus will take you. This is the photo of the room for two which is listed as two beds but they're put together.

Great location directly at the stone bridge. Bus stop directly across the street. Bedroom was comfortable & quite spacious. Good water pressure & temperature in the shower. Solid Wi-Fi. Bar fridge in the room. Overall, decent value for money.

A bit dusty in places - especially on the drapes. Bathroom was cramped.

Very nice location in Old Town Heidelberg, directly next to the old bridge and close to shopping etc. Staff were very kind, made recommendations for restaurants in the area and spoke perfect English. The room was large by European standards and clean. Breakfast was good as well.

I was on the first floor overlooking the bridge and the square, which did mean a bit of noise in the room. I visited in January and the radiator in the room wasn't enough to keep it really warm.

Perfect location and big chambers. Perfect start for a city trip with a fantastic view of the historic Bridge. Hotel offers a parking garage at 500m, which is good for an old town.

Small bathroom, small shower cabin. They could have made it bigger in a room 8*4 metres. The sofa and chairs have seen their best days. But it is in a historic building and that makes up for a lot.

I cannot imagine a better location in Heidelberg. Our room looked out on the Neckar. We were a short walk to the Schloss and all other Altstadt sites.

I have no suggestions for improvement. While it may be difficult to climb the stairs with luggage, installing an elevator would rob the hotel of its old world charm

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the hotel had a lot of character. And the view from our room was brilliant. Its location was perfect for everything we traveled for.

What’s not to like

Staff was courteous and friendly, answered all questions and provided information on locations. Breakfast was great. Location was amazing.

I don't really have any complaints.

The room was comfortable and clean and had a great view of the Old Bridge and its surroundings. The receptionist that checked us in was extremely friendly and gave us some good recommendations for day trips, including the Technik Museum in Sinsheim, which we ended up visiting before we left the region. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of breads and cereals and the parking facilities were good value for money and not too far from the hotel; we were able to leave our car in the hotel's private parking for the duration of our stay.

I have no complaints. Our only regret is that we only spent two nights there.

Lovely room, fabulous breakfast, great family of staff, very helpful. Wonderful location looking out over the river.

Everything was excellent, though we would have been glad, in addition, to have tea/ coffee making facilities in the room.

Amazing location, right in the old town of Heidelberg and right next to the old bridge. The room was very charming, comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice and spacious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
