August 2024

Great location, very nicely designed hotel.

It would be great if the hotel could add two pictures of the parking places. Since the parking spots are on a main road it’s a bit hectic and unclear where to park (fyi, 2 are behind the hotel, and 3 lower on the left side of the road (last ones on your left). Especially since the accommodation was not responsive about this and there was not staff at the reception. Eventually we figured it out ourselves. :) Since there was not air condition in our room, the night in end of August was not very comfortable as the windows are facing a very busy main street.

The room was large and airy (two windows!), with a beautifully appointed bathroom and office/desk area. I was adjacent to the elevator but heard no elevator noise. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I've stayed in about a dozen inns during this vacation, and this was the absolute best! If I return to Heidelberg I will definitely be staying here!

The buffet breakfast was extremely varied with dozens of fresh offerings, including specialized coffee drinks. I'm on a restricted diet (eat like a small child) so the price didn't seem worth it to me. Maybe they would've accommodated a lesser charge if I explained, but it didn't occur to me.

July 2024

we booked two rooms. The room situated on the 2nd floor facing the courtyard was very nice and quiet, with appropriate temperature and cosy.

My parents' room was located on the ground floor. It was facing quite a busy street. the windows were double and strong so there was no noise inside. However, for unknown reason it was extremely hot (27 degrees) inside the room even though outside temperatures were around 18 degrees and rain and the heating was not running. They tried to ventilate through the window but it got very noisy through the night. I would certainly recommend to make sure that you are not assigned this room. it was not possible to change as there is no staff assigned and we had to get in through a code. the staff only arrived the following day in the morning. Overall, this room was not worth it.

The hotel is very clean and a 5-minute walk to the old town center. The staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious enough, and the shower is very clean and airy. As for the negatives; There is no staff in the evening hours. The check-in time being 15:00 is too late, causing you to lose a day. There was no double bed, they had put together 2 single beds. The air conditioning in our first room was not working, and they immediately changed our room.

Room was cosy and comfortable. It’s a boutique hotel so there was more of a personal experience than large chain hotels. Staff were great, especially the friendly breakfast staff. Location was fantastic and the bed was comfortable. They also accommodated my requests promptly.

The reception is not really attended to because of personnel shortages but that did not affect my stay because they organized the check in and check out very well.

This was my second time staying here, and it was just as great as before. The location is perfect—close to tourist spots and public transportation. The self-check-in and check-out process is smooth. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. As someone who works remotely, I really appreciated the comfortable desk and chair setup, along with the fast internet.

Wonderful hotel with great views of the mountains and castle. Close and easy walk to the old town areas with plenty of places to eat and shopping. Also very close to a bus stop for transportation to nearby activities such as the castle. Clean and spacious rooms.

No air-conditioning but they did provide a fan which was extremely helpful for the warm weather during our stay.

All seemed nice, clean and fresh. Comfortable and quiet, and a lovely walk-in shower! Receptionist was very helpful with restaurants. The very beautiful town is only 10 minutes away. The breakfast was very nice as well with cooked options. Had a parking space which was good, though it seemed there were only two spaces so you’d need to book in advance (€15).

Nothing really.

Great location near the university and old town center. The room was small but very comfortable. Even though my room faced the street, it was nice and quiet. The hotel interior is very modern and attractive, and they serve a good breakfast!

There was no parking available in the hotel's lot. I parked in the nearest parking garage "Parkhaus am Theater" which came recommended by the hotel, but it was quite tight for larger vehicles. The absence of staff after 5pm made me a little nervous for a late check in, but it worked out fine in the end.

Good location - city center and pedestrian street is next to the hotel. Self check-in works fine.

Pre-reserved parking place was little bit hard to find - simple schema in a email would be helpful. Room is very hot (+27) - no air conditioner. Breakfast has to pre-ordered - so we used cafes in the city instead.
