Clean room, great staff and quite adequate breakfast for the price. Certainly, it’s a very central location, great for exploring and enjoying the town, but note that on a Friday and Saturday night you may get to enjoy the parties people are having in the street below you until quite late. For us mid 60’s road tripping Aussies it wasn’t too much of an issue, but if you’re so precious about those things, you have been warned! It’s ageing a bit, it’s not 5 star, and no lift (again, you have been warned!) but on balance, great value for money. Out your front door and you’re right in the centre of town. Car parking very close by, and (in January) we could drive in to drop off and collect our luggage in the pedestrian zone.

See above! It’s worth it so as to enjoy everything this beautiful town has to offer.

Its location is very very good. It's just by the plaza of the church, the very center of the city. Many people sit at the plaza for drinking and dining. So, it is not quiet. Our family is at the corner of two small alleys. There is a small Cafe just below our room by the alley. Therefore it is noisy. Many young people drinks and talks for the whole night until about 4am in the morning! Although the window is closed, we can still hear some voices. But we can still go to sleep quickly because, you know, it is very tired when travelling. The breakfast is simple and good. The family room is very large. We are satisfied with the room and beds.. Parking is not far away with discount from the hotel.

Noise of voices in the midnight from the pubs nearby.

This was a great location right on one of the old town squares! It's about a 15 minute walk from the Heidelberg Aldstadt train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the dining room pristine, and the breakfast had a variety of quality, light foods.

Literally the only downsides: a large stain on the carpet, the rooms were a little dated but clean, and the breakfast options weren't very hearty, but it seemed standard for European hotel breakfasts.

The hotel's location is good, near the old city of Heidelberg. The only problem was the young people staying outside of the property and drinking alcohol until very late. If it were summer, probably it could have been problematic.

The location of the hotel is excellent but it is located near pubs. Nonetheless, it is not the hotel's fault. If you have heavy luggage, you might have difficulties carrying your suitcases, as there is no elevator on the property.

The location could not be better, right alongside the town hall (Rathaus) and the square between that and the large church, and a handful of metres away from the main shopping street, close to loads of bars and restaurants. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Discount on car parking in a car park around 100m away.

Glad we were on the 1st floor so only had to carry our cases up 1 flight of stairs, as there is no lift.

The location is very central in the old city (Altstadt) – directly at the Marktplatz and beside the town hall (Rathaus). 300 meters to the old bridge and 200 meters to the furnicular (Bergbahn). Simply you can reach all major touristic sites on foot within 5 minutes. The administration team is very nice, helpful and well-organized. Breakfast is good, with cold food, nice coffee, cooked eggs and a variety of vegetable/fruit.

There is no elevator, but it is well informed and very common to old buildings in Germany. Also as mentioned by multiple guests, the Marktplatz is quite noisy at night, so it might be a major concern if you are a light sleeper.

The location is unbeatable, just in the centre, in front of the old bridge. We could put our bicycles in an internal space, a bit disgusting because of the stinking garbage containers, but at least that is a better protection against theft ;-) The breakfast was good and included in the price.

It was the day of the CSD fest, and there were millions of people in HD. All of the of course like to be close to the centre, and there is a night club just on the side of the hotel. In summer you want to have some fresh air to sleep and keep the windows open, and thus you'll enjoy an amazing amount of noise until 4.00 in the morning. No problem if your brain can filter that out, mine couldn't :-(

The location is amazing. What you get for the money is very good - the hotel isn't fancy or has any special comfort amenities, but it is pleasant, convenient, unpretentious yet professional. The breakfast is a regular German style continental one, a lot of many standard choices. Staff super friendly -- if you need a good place to explore Altstadt, I highly recommend.

The hotel had a great location directly near the Rathaus. As a traditional hotel it offers a large room space. We arrived early at noon and the staff was very nice to let us have our room immediately. The price is very reasonable for its location and with breakfast. Water pressure was good.

The room has unfortunately no water cooker. Also the noise isolation was so good as we could hear people talking/shouting on the street at late night.

it is a nice old building hotel right next to the Town's Hall. Thus, it is just a few steps from basically everything you could explore in the old city. Location is absolutely awesome...one basically falls into bed after a nive evening out for dinner. Also, heaps of shopping opportunities around. The room was very spacious and beds were clean and comfy

The bathroom was very small and basic but it is an old building. In our case, the shower doors did not close well and there was a large gap to spill water on the floor. Also, the suitcase rest almost came off the wall. The wardrobe was also basic and only a few hangers in there. Breakfast is basic but staff very forthcoming. All in all it was very good value for the price. At our time of travel, there were not too many people around which made it nice and quiet (except for the weekend noisers outside).
