We liked the location as it is right on the square, with many locations near (McDonald's, Aldi...) where you can buy some things and also relax. The room we had was very big and we loved it, also the bathroom had a shower and a bathtub so it was really cozy. Also the breakfast didn't have many items to choose from, but was really delicious.

Though we loved the location, the noise that came from the street was quite loud at night and the beds were too soft so we didn't sleep well.

I visited Karlusruhe for a conference in KIT. The location of the hotel was perfect to the KIT. As it is in the city center, its location is perfect to reach out to most of the city attractions, especially the Karlsruhe Schloss and many restaurants. Breakfast was great with many varieties. The rooms, small, but enough for the purpose of my trip. Rooms and the hotel in general are clean. Surprisingly, I haven't seen any family during my stay, maybe it was occupied by the conference participants, but I really don't find any reason to not recommend it to families (if they offer family rooms!). I think it would be great for families.

Nothing in particular, except that it is quite a small hotel.

-The location! That view right from our window over the Christmas market! -Sights and Christmas markets right outside the door or within an easy walk. -Clean -Comfy bed -Good water pressure -They provided earplugs, but we didn't find them necessary. -We only saw the cleaning staff as we were leaving in the morning. Everything was accessible without needing interactions. -The human touch of a welcoming St. Nik chocolate and gummy bears on our bed was not overlooked by us. -Excellent value!

-For some, the lack of human interaction may be an issue. -Elevator was small. They had at least one wheelchair accessible room on the 2nd floor, but not sure a wheelchair would have fit in the elevator we used...maybe there was another we overlooked though?

Hotel am Markt is very well located, in the heart of the city, everything is in walking distance. Instructions for checking in and out are clear enough, also public parking garage is close by and not too difficult to find.

Even though I arrived well before 10pm (check in supposed to be until then) there was no one at the reception so all the process was slightly impersonal. Room was relatively quiet and clean but the bed was somehow wavy.

the room was very well equipped, functional and tidy. That the breakfast was served at early, at 6:30 Although there were a few issues in the bathroom the stay in the Hotel was very pleasant.

the most complicated procedure to check in online was surprising. I had to try umpteen times until the web app finally worked and did not end in an empty screen or an error message. The shower tub was partially plugged. (Room 202) on the second day the shower matt was missing

The location

There was construction going on all week. Since there’s no AC one had to open windows during the night and it got quite loud. But I guess that’s what one would expect from a very central location of a hotel. I would stay there again nonetheless

The property is centrally located and is close to all the tourists attractions. Check in out information was well communicated. Halal food, university and shopping areas were in a close proximity. There’s a very good bakery on the ground floor attached to the hotel.

The small pedestal fan was not enough for keeping the rooms cold during the hot days and nights during our stay.

The noise outside at night is unbearable. It makes sense because that’s the square where everyone comes to hangout so if you don’t like noise this is not for you

It’s easily accessible as the tram stop is next to the property. I came to Karlsruhe to visit the Christmas markets & 3 of them are near the property. Very clean room and ample space for a solo traveller. They were also accommodating to store my bags before check in. Friendly staff!! Kudos!

Location was amazing! Right near the castle, market place, and underground train station.

Self-check in didn’t work. Had to wait outside in the cold for 40 minutes for an actual person to come and let us inside to check us in.
