The personnel is very friendly and did some extra effort to let us check in early. The room was quite spacious and has airconditioning. The bathroom was good and the beds were good. Coffee/tea in the room, and a refrigerator, all very convenient. The TV is good and the wifi works well. The wellness area is a beautiful resort with lots of possibilities. The swimming pool is also beautiful with a view to thin inner court. And the breakfast is excellent, with waffles and omelets made to order, and an extensive amount of choices.

In the area we did not find restaurants at a walking distance. Parking is €9,- except when you are lucky if there is space across the street. The hotel from the outside does not seem so big, but inside it is in fact quite big with many guests, therefore the breakfast area can be a bit crowded at times.

Very clean, peaceful and my room was spacious. I slept very well, which isn’t normally the case for me in a hotel. The spa was excellent and very relaxing. The staff were always polite, kind and helpful.

Not sure why I had to pay for use of the facilities before checking in, when I had a paid reservation on file? I was happy to do it but it seemed rather unnecessary.

The staff were exceptional at Hotel Birke and made us feel so welcome! Breakfast was amazing (a huge selection) and the spa facilities were really enjoyable. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was peaceful.

The rooms were a little tired/dated but it didn’t take away from the comfort of our stay. I understand that renovations are currently taking place in the rooms so I’m sure they will be perfect soon!

Good location from the ferry port with secure parking . very friendly and professional staff. Warm shower with good flow.

The bathroom was a little dated and we found our room noisy. One side of the bed was comfy but the other was well worn and had lost support at the edges. No tea/coffee making facilities. Empty mini bar. Small touches that make a difference when travelling!

A beautiful hotel and spa. We used the swimming pool facilities. All robes and towels were supplied in our room. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The chef cooked hot food for us, too. A fabulous modern, well-kept place to unwind.

The hotel and the spa area was great, with chargers for electric vehicles and located away from busy roads. It is very quiet and located a bit outside of the city centre, but still easy to get to with a car.

We didn't go for the breakfast, as the price seemed a bit steep.

Good sized bedroom and bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast and delicious food in restaurant. Easy parking. Good location for us having our own car, but there is a bus stop just round the corner with regular buses down to the city centre of Kiel, which is definitely worth a look. All staff very friendly and helpful and most spoke good English, which we found very helpful.

For the price, some body lotion should be provided. Why are the bath towels so small?

Great room,very clean, the best pillow and bed i ever had at a hotel room ! Very noce area out of the busy town,very cosy and aestheticly pleasing hotel. Staff was very very nice and breakfast was very good.

My only "complaint" is that the water in the pool wasvery cold,but it turns out one has to inform the staff beforehand

I was thinking really hard on what would I improve upon this hotel, but I can't think of any. Perhaps it'd be nice to have more parking space maybe?
