Location, staff responsiveness.

The remodeled bathroom would be a challenge for most. I had to climb into the deep tub (over my knees) with no safety hand rails. There was no tub mat and I had to keep requesting an extra towel to put on the floor of the tub to not get hurt slipping around on the smooth bottom. The mirror has no light, the walls, no hooks, and the round faucet handles were hard to open and close especially when your hands are wet (or arthritic). Getting in and out of the tub was the worst. esp. with it being so high, and with nothing but the tub to hold on to. The towel rack is there, but it moves and is hard to reach so it didn't help. . Quite the surprise in inconvenience and safety, given the expense and effort made for it to look nice.

The hotel was very well situated in the middle of Mittenwald. The style of the hotel was very classic, felt right at home with a hint of Bavarian luxury. The hotel front desk was very approachable, especially in recommending activities for the day.

The parking situation was not ideal. The spots are not only for hotel guests, but also restaurant guests, so depending on the time you arrive, there is a good chance everything is filled. There are free options in town for overnight, but during the day, if the lot is full, seemingly all local spots would cost you. Also, the breakfast buffet was a tick bland.

Breakfast was good, lots of bread but no pastries. Lots of other food, from cheeses to meats, etc. Excellent coffee machine, and great eggs, bacon and sausage's. My room had a balcony and it was lovely to sit out there and look at the mountains. Parking was good, never had an issue with getting a space, even when the hotel was fully booked. Also, great location...walk out the door and you are in the pedestrian area of Mittenwald.

My only wish would have been a coffee machine in the room.

I have stayed at the Post Hotel several times. As always it is an excellent choice in a lovely Alpine village. However this year it rained every day which was disappointing and the comfort of the hotel was even more appreciated to escape the rain!

My only comment is that the lighting in my room (and on previous occasions) while good for the environment and the cost of electricity for the hotel, could be brighter to make reading in bed, for example, easier.

Absolutely perfect hotel. We loved it!! Super nice location in Mittenwald, the room was fantastic - very clean and beautiful decor. Free refreshments and beers! Very kind and helpful staff, all speaking perfect English. Breakfast fabulous. The swimming pool and spa is another story, just wonderful. Definitely worth the price, it is a special treat!

Pretty much nothing. As non-Germans, it was a bit difficult/awkward for us to use the saunas naked. Apart from that all perfect.

The hotel is great and in a great location. The view from our room of the town with the mountain behind was amazing. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was a good size and included a bath which was great for soaking aching muscles after a day's hiking.

The no bathing suit policy in the saunas. I don't understand what the reason for it is. I was told I couldn't wear my swim shorts, which I had a towel wrapped round, but I could wear just the towel? The breakfast was also disappointing compared to similar priced hotels in similar locations.

Nice breakfast, the variety was decent. Very nice Finish sauna and swimming pool. Very relaxing after the long hike during the day. Sauna twoles were provided. It is located in the popular area of the twon.

Old bed sheets, it didn’t feel good to sleep on them. I wish still water was provided in the room fridge instead of gassed-water, or at least we could choose. Toothbrush was not as part of room toiletries But the staff was kind enough to give me kid's tooshbrush/paste (it was the only option available).

Spa area is exceptional. Very clean hotel.Great location, right in the centre of town.

We booked a double room with a balcony and bath. The room given to us was small, with two single ‘fixed’ beds, no balcony and just a shower. When I went to the front desk to query, we were allocated the room we had booked with no apology. Spa area is amazing and modern. The rooms were spotlessly clean, but pretty dated decor

This hotel is in the perfect location right in the heart of Mittenwald. The finishing touches in the lobby and hallways were extremely charming. Our “rustic” room was spacious, had an incredible view, the beds were comfortable, the loveseat fit us both, the restocked, included drinks was a surprising treat, the included spa (pool and saunas) was lovely and the staff provided outstanding customer service.

Our bathroom, while very clean, was outdated and very tiny.

The town is lovely, and the hotel room was nice, especially the balcony. The breakfast was good, and we were allowed to check out an hour later upon request.

I picked this hotel because my 6-year-old kid is a huge fan of sauna, and I knew the hotel had one. We were very disappointed to find out that the only place where he was allowed was a chilly pool. I have no idea why, and it was not mentioned anywhere in the description. The lady from the reception was not very welcoming either when we asked her questions about the facilities.
