Breakfast was ok. The warm section was a bit sad. The first day during our stay the hotel was quiet without too many guests. The warm section had a few greasy sausages and bacon lying around, looking like they had been there for a couple of hours. The next days the hotel was busy. The 2 waiters were a bit overwhelmed. The family room was nice and clean, renovated bathroom, facing the garden, fantastic view and quiet. There’s a parking garage which was not mentioned on the site. I almost ruled out the hotel due to lack of parking but I called to check beforehand. Charging station also available. Spa area was very clean with abundant towels.

Breakfast could have more variety. Pool was cold.

The hotel is very close to the train station and easy to go to both Garmisch and Patenkirchen centre. It is furnished in the traditional Bavarian traditions. We had a room with a sofabed for our child and it was very comfortable. The hotel has a nice garden that is great to relax outside. It was a good breakfast. It also had a complimentary tea and dinner. Dinner was more like a small snack which was great for us as we had big lunches.

The road that the hotel is on is the main road to the train station so there was traffic throughout the days. it was ok with closed windows but you would hear a lot with open windows.

It was a very comfy, spacious room. The room and hallways have great art which makes you want to walk around and check out. The breakfeast was nice and the breakfeast location is at very beautiful winter garden where you can see the surrounding mountains. The swimming pool and portion of the spa area is also another winter garden where people can relax and enjoy the great view which is especially awesome with the snow. They also have a very nice infrared cabin. To top it all they have very professional people working there that go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Its one of the best hotel experience in europe for me.

Nothing its the best. Some people online seem to complain they cant watch the tv comfortably during their stay there. But if you go there to watch tv, then that is one of the most silly things to do.

The location is perfect! It takes 5 minutes to get to the main station on foot. So you can catch a Zugspitze train without early getting up. There was a free “tea time” in the hotel. Till 5 pm one could get free coffee or tea with some sweets. Was great to warm up after a day in snowy mountains.

The sauna, which we expected to be our evening time spending was really small (they turned on only one small cabin for us). The swimming pool was extremely cold… and every space in the wellness centre was freezing cold.

Property is conveniently location with close proximity to Garmisch and Partenkirchen. The gorge behind the hotel is just beautiful with stunning views to take a walk. Bus stop and train station at walking distance to do zugspitze and Partnach gorge. Breakfast at the garden cafe was a delight with freshly prepared eggs and Prosecco served for breakfast. The rooms we got had a terrace sit out which we were very pleased with to sit out and relax in the gardens. The authentic Bavarian touch with wooden floors and wall hangings made it rustic and delivered a cosy experience.

A bit expensive, but I guess all properties are in that area. But totally worth the experience

- Super friendly and nice staff - Pet friendly - we traveled with a small dog - Classic style but very well kept hotel - Beautiful breakfast room - Great breakfast, incl. some cooked stuff and the usual muesli, yoghurt, fruit, etc. nice selection, good coffee - In the Alpenhaus (side wing) we had very spacious, comfy rooms, each of which included a sitting area suitable for 4-5 ppl, they were all facing the garden and were very quiet - Beautiful garden with space to sit outside - Indoor wellness area with pool, jaccuzzi, fitness, sauna, silent room - Literally 5 min from train station - Lovely walking path along the Partnach is nearby, great for walking a dog - I personally enjoyed reading about the hotel's history from the pictures and articles throughout the corridors, it was interesting

- No international TV - Breakfast might be a challenge for folks on a vegan or gluten free diet (however I'd let the staff know, I'm sure they would be happy to accommodate they were really helpful)

A room with a view. This is an old property, but has been maintained and managed quite well by the family that owns it. Though getting around the place was a bit tricky, every nook and corner of the place had a wonderful character to it, with lots of stories and pieces of history along the way. Our room was quite large, with an attached study featuring huge windows which opened to stunning views of the mountains. Comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. The buffet breakfast had a good number of healthy options for the adults and kids alike.

The restaurant was not serving lunch or dinner during our stay and we had to depend on outside places to eat.

The room was spacious and quiet with old world charm. The beds were comfortable. Part of our group hadn't been to Europe before and they enjoyed the originality of the place. The pool and spa came in handy after a long day. The breakfast was plentiful and good. Coffee/tea was available at all times. It was walkable to the tourist information restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay so I can not comment on the views.

The hot tub could have been hotter.

+ Central location near train station + Great balcony with quiet mountain view

A few oddities that would be easy to fix: - Receptionist knows we only stay for 1 night but mentions all the things we could use at the hotel if we had arrived earlier and was not really competent for any other questions we had 😃 - Baggage was left in open space next to entrance all day rather than in some separate room - Place was pricey but I think this is similar across the whole town

Great atmosphere! Love the rustic look of everything; kind of feels like a step back in time. Staff was wonderful and super helpful with places to go and things to do. Just a couple minutes walk to the train station and bus stops, numerous restaurants within just a couple minutes and less than a 20 minute walk to the shopping area of town (and tons more places to eat). Wonderful breakfast included. Would definitely stay again.

Only thing I would add is a small fan in the room just to keep air moving. We were there in early October so temperatures were great to have the window open all night but can get a little still in the room.
