Lovely location if you don't want to sleep in the city. Close enough to Berlin, but also close to a lot of nice nature areas for hiking. Restaurants and backery are in the neighboring town.

The hotel restaurant was never open when we were there (also not on the days it was supposed to be open according to opening hours). So keep in mind that eating on location might not be an option

We stayed here so that we were in a location reasonably close to the airport. It was a little hard to find as it was dark, but the Uber driver was unfamiliar with the area. Very comfortable room and a great German breakfast with a wide selection including boiled eggs, fresh rolls, cheeses and sliced meats! We were also able to arrange for a ride from the hotel to the airport in the morning.

There really wasn't anything to dislike.

The staff and owners were friendly, obliging and went out of their way to help. The pillows were superb. The best I have ever come across and I have stayed in many different types of accommodation around the world. The dinner menu was varied and the food was delicious. The buffet breakfast was expansive and the coffee excellent. If you enjoy old world charm, a rustic setting, walking along footpaths in the woods, birds singing and being welcomed by tiny playful dogs then this is the place to stay. We had a 3 bedroom apartment with our own courtyard. Absolute magic and would stay here again.

Mosquitos on walks. Bring some mosquito repellant _ works wonders.
