The hotel is new & in great shape. There is a bar & a restaurant open late. It is very close to the check in area of the terminal (less than 300 meters).

The hotel is new and you expect it to be on top of all details. However, the online check in didn’t work (I and another customer couldn’t check in, the system didn’t accept ID numbers of non-Germans). We rented two rooms for 2 guests each. One had one just coffee capsule for the coffee machine, another one had none. They simply forgot to put it. The elevator (new!) was making some strange noise.

Extremely convenient to airport and train. Clean rooms. Upgraded facilities. Great value. Staff was even able to accommodate a late check out until 4:00 pm (for a fee)

No self service laundry facilities. We asked about laundry when we checked in - we were told that laundry was already sent out for the day. Therefore, we would have to wait until the following day. However, since we were checking out the next day, we were told we couldn’t get our laundry done. When I read the laundry policy on the laundry checklist in the room, it stated that laundry handed in after 9:00am would be returned the following day by 10:00 am. Therefore, we should have been able to turn our laundry in at check-in and have it returned the next day as standard check-out is at noon. The check-in staff also could not provide us with any recommendations for nearby self-service laundry facilities. Not being able to have our laundry done was quite an inconvenience for us.

The Eurowings plane I was in broke down while already on the taxiway and the flight was subsequently cancelled. The chaotic Eurowings team at the BER was unable to handle the situation so I did it myself and luckily found out that the Steigenberger right next to the terminal had rooms available at a very affordable rate (the flight crew of the cancelled flight checked in here too). Thanks to the easy to use self-check-in machines, I had my keycode in less than 5 minutes despite many other PAX from this flight showing up at the hotel within just a few minutes, and it was already close to midnight.The room was modern, spacious, clean and quiet. Clearly a five-star experience.I was rebooked on a morning flight the next day so I only spent eight hours at the hotel, but during those hours, everything was excellent. That included the cheap rate. Check out was quick and easy too.

Hotel looked brand new to me. It was clean, well conceived and a stone throw away from the airport. Perfect for early flights. Check in was smooth (if you don’t like machine check-in there is a member of staff behind the counter)

Although it was a 10°C night of early May, the room overheated during the night. We think it could be because the duvets were really thick and we needed up overheating or if the hotel overall was heated. It didn’t feel like that when we arrived. Note that we cannot comment on staff addressing the situation as we were there for one night only and therefore didn’t raise it at the time.

Size of the room, comfortable bed, nice shower. Very convenient hotel location to take a plane or a train without stress. I have made 2 reservations for 2 consecutive days, the first one with my wife and the second for just myself. I have asked to use the same room, because my wife was taking a flight on the second day, and I was attended, very nice reaction from the reception.

1- Wifi failed Saturday night; reception informed not to have maintenance people at that time 2- The hotel execute a 50 euros debt to check the credit card, which are promptly billed by VISA. It takes more than 1 weeks to the invoice of the credit card show the correct value. As this is not my first reserve, makes no sense to use this procedure to usual guests.

"Overall, I had a pleasant stay, but there are a couple of areas where I believe the experience could be improved. The breakfast selection was impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. However, I found the price to be quite high, which made it feel less like a good value for money. Additionally, while the bed was clean and the room well-maintained, I found the mattress to be less comfortable than others I've experienced in similar hotels. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it lacked the level of support and plushness that would have made for a more restful night's sleep. With some adjustments in these areas, the overall guest experience could be significantly enhanced."

Fantastic hotel!! Very warm welcome when we arrived. The room was spacious and clean and had all amenities needed for a short or long stay. Comfortable bed and pillows. The most important thing was it was super quiet. Even though it's an airport hotel, there was no noise coming from the outside and no noise from the rooms next door or above. We regretted not booking this hotel for the number of days we were in Berlin and traveling from there to the city center as the hotel is a 2 minute walk to the airport and a 3 minute walk to the train station that gets you to Berlin Central Station in around 20-30 minutes!! Thank you for making our stay, a stay to remember!!

Location was even better than promised.

This is what really upset me. The sauna is being repaired and it was apparent it is not something that happened spur of the moment. No shower in sauna room due to the construction and steam room closed. This is something that will 100% alter my decision to stay at a hotel as after a long day of walking I want to relax. This should be well publicized. If I wasn’t trapped after having checked in and dropped my bags off for my early morning flight I 100% would have demanded my money back.

Location is great - literally across the road from departures at the airport. Hotel is new so facilities are pristine. Beds were comfortable and rooms very spacious

Self service check in machines were very laborious - use the check in desk if you can!

Large comfortable room and bathroom. Proximity to airport.

They message you in advance to use checkin machines. And indeed you are directed towards them when you arrive. We went through the dozens of steps, but the machine froze at the final stage. So we had to do it all again with an actual human being. So don’t use the machine: go to the counter. Wouldn’t recommend the restaurant either. We had no choice but to eat there, after a long delay on DB. But the prices are extortionate: roughly double what you’d pay in town.
