The location is great for accessing various modes of transport: the main station is just across the street that means also the metro, taxi stop around the corner, the airport shuttle bus stops in front of the hotel, and the Flixbus hub is in walking distance (10-15 minutes). If you don't want to walk, then take the train from the main station to the next stop, or the tram. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a single room. The room has a simple set up: smaller single mattress (80cm wide?), a small TV (only local channels available), a writing desk & chair, and a small safe installed in the closet. All in all, it is a nice hotel with good value for money.

The room on the first night was facing the main station and the noise of the tram and the traffic can be heard until quite late. Light sleepers should request a room on the quieter side of the hotel. I asked for the room to be changed after the first night and the staffs were kind to arrange that.

Very comfortable rooms with friendly staff. Highly recommend the breakfast buffet. 3 of us with 6 suitcases managed pretty well in the room. It was great to have a spacious sink area (which is also the entryway), a cupboard, bedside tables, individual bed lamps, an office desk and controllable heaters. We had nice, big windows that allowed for light and ventilation easily. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide spread of items.

The bathroom was tiny; the toilet area was so small, we couldn’t spread our legs at all. The shower area was cramped and there was no place to keep our soap, shampoo, etc. We couldn’t lock the bathroom door and there was no ventilation (exhaust fan) in the bathroom so it would be smelly.

Amba is a relatively simple hotel that at first glance works as a Time Machine back to the '70s. But then you realise that the staff is helpful and friendly, that everything works and that the room is clean and in good repair. You have everything you need at a stone's throw from Munich central station. The breakfast was surprisingly good considering the price I paid.

My room overlooked a back street that was unexpectedly noisy. This did not stop me from having a good sleep, though after having closed the (the large) windows.

The location opposite the Munich HBF train station and with the main airport shuttle bus outside creates a perfect transit stay whenever in Munich.

The location was fantastic. And the staff, and the attitude of the staff was also wonderful. Very helpful and welcoming. Hotel was quiet despite being in a busy location. The hotel does not have air-conditioning in the rooms, however, the fan provided was incredibly efficient and appreciated. Bathroom is good, nice and private for when you are not travelling with a partner. I am not sure what it is about bathrooms in hotels in Europe, but sometimes it is like they want you to be on display in a shop window to the rest of your travelling companions 😂

Not quite sure about the lift. Seems like you could do with a little bit of an upgrade but overall nothing in particular was bad about this property.

Great central location to explore Munich by foot. 10 minute walk to the very centre of Marianplatz. Very reasonably priced and consider it good value for money. Had a nice modern room with comfy beds. Room was very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Shower was tiny and screen didn’t close properly, but for the price we paid, we can forgive a small shower, after all we only spent 2 minutes each inside it a day.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful after we left a bag in the hotel room after check out and we didn't realise until after we had arrived at our next destination. The staff located the bag and kept it safe while we could collect. Furthermore, the hotel was really clean, the shower was great and the beds were comfortable. The lobby has a Mediterranean feel with the lay out.

The location was perfect. It was just 1min. away from the Luftansa bus stop which is coming from the airport. The facility is just in front of Hauptbahnhof Central Metro Station if you are coming by train. It's in the city center where most of the tourist attractions are just walking distance. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and grocery stores. The room was also clean. The Filipino housekeeping staff were all nice and they cleaned the room everyday. Shower gel, liquid soap, and towels are also provided.

No aircondition, but it was okay during our stay as it was still winter. But not sure during summer if its comfortable to stay.

Very well located, just in front of the train station and a few metres from the bus stop to the Airport. The staff was very friendly at all times. We were even allowed to grab a cup of coffee before the breakfast service was open since we were leaving very early.

The room was extra small for a family. It would have been comfortable to have a small fridge to keep a few things.

It was literally across the street from the entrance to the main train station. It was great for us as a quick 1 night stay. We dropped off the rental car nearby which was a simple process and then took the train out the next day to Rome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They kept our bags while we roamed the city. Quiet enough to get a good night's sleep.
