Location is perfect about a 10 minute walk from Laim station in a quiet residential area full of bistros bars and restaurants not to mention Hirschgarten the largest beer garden in Europe literally 5 minutes walk down the road. The hotel itself is an old stereotypical Bavarian building and some of the original features are lovely.

I'm knit picking her but a kettle or something to make a hot drink in the room would be nice but not sure it's a thing in Germany, the room becomes quite hot) stuffy and theirs no Aircon or fan and the windows don't open fully in fact only one would open partially. In peak summer I think you'd struggle badly to sleep as even with temps around 17-20 degrees I struggled with the humidity of the room.

I love the Laimer Hof. I love the location, walkable to the Schloss and with great restaurants, but in a quiet neighborhood. I love the huge and eclectic family rooms with tons of space for a great price. I love love love the excellent breakfast and the friendly, helpful staff. Hot shower. Excellent soap. The Laimer Hof is our place to stay in Munich.

Be aware: stairs. Street parking but it is easy enough. Be aware: eclectic, old furniture. That's part of what we love. Not fussy. A bit faded but elegant.

It is quite decent and has warm accommodation. Even though the room was quite small, I mostly stayed only for sleep as during the day I was traveling in and around Munich. The bed was good, and also there was hot water in the bathroom and pleasant temperature in the room.

Maybe a little bit more cleaning, at least under the bed. Most probably they are cleaning rarely under the bed where I saw that there was some dust.

We loved the balcony of this room, which had a clear view of Neuchwenstein Castle. It was breath-taking. The room itself was very comfortable, and the location in town couldn't be beat -- a short walk to both castles and a beautiful, mountain-ringed lake. The breakfast buffet was excellent, though they did run out of croissants, sadly. We also got parking through the hotel, just across the street.

A couple bedside lights weren't working, but this was a minor issue.

It was a reasonable distance from a train station, making it easy to get where we needed to go. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. There was a pretty good spread for breakfast. The rooms were quiet and clean.

They made good use of the space, but as it was a small space, the shower was a bit cramped. The two full mattresses pushed together to make a queen were kind of hard, but I've found that to be fairly normal in most German hotels.

What I liked about the hotel is a very friendly personal who works there. The guy Tobias is super super helpful and kind. If you need a kettle or anything just ask at the lobby they will give it. The earlier check in was also possible. Breakfast had a small selection but fresh and good enough to start your day. I had a promotional rate so it was a good money wise trip for me, I had a road bike with me so it was ok to ride 25 km to the center.

Looking like an ancient times castle 🏰 I guess they decided to keep inside as an ancient times also. The bed was super uncomfortable, I hardly could sleep on it and it was making sounds when I tried to move. Coffee at the breakfast was the worse coffee I’ve tasted… sadly (even my instant coffee which I had with me was tasting much better)

Excellent breakfast, very nice staff, very good location near Schloss, hotel is older but very nicely maintained, rooms are very good everything you need is there, good windows, good Indian restaurant near by, enough toilet paper supplies in room (thanks)

not a big problem but little mold in basement could be bad for people with allergy

The hotel staff was very friendly and made great effort to help make the stay more comfortable. I appreciated very much the helpfulness of the staff and front desk hostesses. They provided complimentary beer and the courtyard setting next to the hotel was enjoyable to sit at in the morning and evening hours.

The property is not near the downtown Munich center area, however, the neighborhood is lovely!

It was close to the Nymphenburg Palace and the Munich Botanic gardens which were places I really wanted to visit. It was also easy to get into the city by the tram from the nearby tram stop. When I arrived, I said I hoped I wasn't on the top floor as I had a heavy bag and there was no lift - the guy on reception was able to change my room to the ground floor. I only wanted a light breakfast and was able to get something appropriate for 8 euros each morning.

I had a heavy bag which I would have found difficult dragging to the tram or bus stop so I decided to take a taxi. The taxi booked by the reception to get me to the airport had a fixed price of 95euros which was not communicated to me prior to the taxi arriving - it was only a 30 minute trip probably because of the public holiday so the cost seemed excessive.

Very nice building (although without elevator). We slept in the corner room of the second floor, which was spacious. Breakfast was also very good, with coffee, eggs and bacon prepared on the spot. Schloss is very near and a nice Italian restaurant. Staff was very welcoming (and spoke very good English).

Parking is small (4 places), but plenty of places around for free. S-bahn is 15 min. walk, but there is also a bus 5 min.
