The perfect place for a family with children -- be sure you let the hotel know in advance if they need to make up spar beds because it does not get communicated from the website. The staff were outstanding in helping us get settled. The location is easy for accessing the core area of Munich without the noice and mess of other areas. The English garden and the surfing area is right around the corner. Parking in the garage is tight so don't attempt if unsure -- take the elevator/lift down to look at the space before driving in an oversized vehicle.

Location was close to the English Gardens. A bit of a walk to Marienplatz, but not unbearable. Check in was a breeze and parking was a plus, but I had to email ahead for a space because the underground garage was very small. Only stayed one night so didn’t really take advantage of any amenities. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel and room was modern and spotless.

Our room was beautifully appointed, but extremely small. Barely had room for our suitcases and accessories. It felt very claustrophobic to me. Bathroom was even smaller. Don’t think I could’ve stayed more than one night.

Truly a 5 star experience! The hotel was clean and well decorated. Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony on the top floor. We were in easy walking distance to all major sites. The subway system was nearby if we wished to venture out of the city of Munich. There were 2 excellent Bavarian restaurants 2-3 blocks from the hotel. The staff was absolutely wonderful! They arranged for taxi service to and from the airport. When we’re delayed and arrived late and had to wait an hour for our baggage, I was unable to make calls but I was able to email the hotel. I’m Greta, at the front desk, was a lifesaver. She contacted the driver and kept us both updated via email.Greta also saved the day by providing us with umbrellas so that we could walk to dinner that evening. The breakfast was exemplary. The buffet had many choices in order to please individual’s culinary needs and the breakfast staff was friendly and engaging.

Absolutely nothing! We are looking forward to returning to this hotel in the future.

Room was quaint but clean and big enough for two people and luggage. We enjoyed the fact that it was in a quiet neighborhood, nearby the English Garden and the Residenz, and a number of coffee shorts. Regardless, it was easy to walk into the main Old Town area and see the sights there as well. We enjoyed the design of the room in general, including the cool indirect lighting.

Room was a bit hot, even in March with relatively mild temperatures. Double bed situation with two single beds side by side was less than ideal - wish the bedframes would have remained a bit more fixed on the floor!

The whole stay was almost excellent. The rooms were very well designed and very clean, the decor is imaginative and attractive, the staff were helpful and charming, the location is good.

There was one problem - there is no air-conditioning. It was just possible to get to a comfortable temperature in the room, but only with the help of the fans provided by the hotel. (It was mid-August)

Location was excellent - right where the river surfing takes place and the nice sightseeing walk to the city center starts. Rooms where spacious and nicely decorated

Hotel overall is in slightly old building - although renovated. No air-conditioning (still for the time of yr that we visited, it was ok). The funniest part was the completely see-through and hear-through washroom door..be ready for some extra bonding if you travel with partner.

Very nice hotel within ten minutes walk of Marienplatz. Excellent breakfasts.

While the following list is quite long, I should note that these are minor issues, and it's difficult to find a better affordable pet-friendly hotel in the centre of Munich. Still... rooms, unfortunately, have no AC. Shower setup, while functional, is quite cramped. Underground parking is very, very tight -- though it's great that it's there at all. The immediate vicinity of the hotel is very non-touristy, though both the Old City and the Englischer Garten are only a short walk off. Note that the hotel is deep in the Umweltzone -- you'll need a green sticker to drive there without the risk of a fine.

Everything about our stay was just how we wanted it to be - from the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the rooms. We didnt eat at the hotel but did have drinks and the bar staff were really friendly and lovely to talk to as well as serve us our cocktails/beer/drinks exactly how they should be. The hotel is very near the park and about a 10 minute walk into the city which was perfect for us.

I can honestly say that there wasnt anything that I didnt enjoy/like about the hotel.

Nice room and space for the price, especially considering you are staying in a touristy area (well about 15-20 minute walk away from the main square so keep that in mind if looking for RIGHT in the middle of the action). Staff during the day were great and check-in/out process was easy.

Main complaint was that the staff during the evening (which doubled on bar duty) were not always the friendliest - Gave the attitude as if they were being inconvenienced.

Nice modern hotel, with friendly welcoming staff. The single room was a little small (to be expected) but very well laid out with modern equipment. My room was blissfully quiet, especially considering how close the hotel is to the city centre, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely stay here again.

No kettle or tea/coffee in the rooms, but this is a small point and I think might not be the norm in Germany.
