Breakfast was very good. Do note, there may not be air conditioning in your room (ours did not but was a cooler night so was fine). Your room may not be in the same building as the main hotel (have the option of taking a golf cart with your bags to the room). Parking, paid, was down the road behind a gate.

We loved the location! Nice size room and breakfast was great. We liked that we could use a washer and dryer, however there was only one washer and dryer and they had to be for small loads.

We were not aware that you had to pay extra for a/c in the room and they were charging for bathroom amenities like soaps. The parking was interesting as it wasn’t near the hotel and you have to be escorted to the lot - they will bring you back in a golf cart. It’s an easy process. Please make sure you arrange for parking in advance!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Hotel Reichsküchenmeister. Our room, a standard double, was small but adequate and comfortable. I am VERY particular when it comes to cleanliness in hotels, and our room was spotless. The only downside to this property is no air conditioning. We arrived the day before a heat wave, so it was still tolerable to sleep with the windows open, but not having air conditioning with the 90+ degree temps would have made sleeping very difficult. The hotel is centrally located and the restaurant was excellent. Wonderful views of the cathedral and plenty of shade! If we’re ever in Rothenburg again, we will absolutely stay at Hotel Reichsküchenmeister, a 5-star experience for a very reasonable rate. Thank you for such a lovely first stop in Germany!

Location is great, clean, comfortable rooms and beds. Nice size bathroom and shower. Room finish and details were excellent. The breakfast was great. The food in the restaurant can be very good

The hotel / restaurant / beer garden etc..are very focused on turning tables to the detriment of guests hoping to enjoy a relax paced meal. Hotel guests are 100% not welcome (confirmed twice by management on 2 separate days) to enjoy the beer garden unless you are eating a meal. You cannot have a beer or wine in the beer garden between the hours of 12-2pm or 6-9pm unless you are also eating a meal. The hotel beer garden is the only location in Rothenburg I found during our 3.5 day stay where people were not welcome to simply enjoy a local beer or wine in the beer garden.... Myself and other hotel guests had no problems at any other hotel / restaurant / beer garden. We were warmly welcomed...just not at the hotel we were guests at.

Everything. This is a place with a soul. Perfectly located in fairytale village of Rothenburg ODT. From Outside, it is a very historical building. When you are in the restaurant and common areas it still is so but in the rooms, the rooms have been soooo well reconstructed and refurbished that you have thw comfort of today but the soul is still there. The breakfast was sooo good. Restaurant area is also so lovely. The staff is so cheerful and make you will in the time macine with all the traditional clothes.

There was no single thing we did not like about the property.

Location, location, location. Beautiful hotel inside and out. It was very charming. Dinner at the restaurant was superb. We were seated in the back restaurant. The working fire place added to the charm of the place. Never felt rushed to eat and leave. Attentive host and wait staff. Host made an excellent wine recommendation. The sauerbraten and schnitzel were superb. Definitely try the small house salad, if only for the delicious dressing.

Room key bobble was heavy and cumbersome. The 5 € charge to have air conditioning in the room. Charge for bottled water in the room. Lack of an iron/ironing board. Having to pay a deposit to get a key to use the room safe. Breakfast was good, except they ran out of hot food. Only hot food available at the time of our seating was scrambled eggs.

Hotel in heart of Rothenburg . Great bicycle inside secure storage . Only down side was a 2.00€ charge per bike stored . First time in our 3 months of travel by bicycle in Europe this has happened . May be a new trend . Reception was very friendly with good English. Room spacious - classic furniture and very modern bathroom . Elevator to upper rooms . Coffee/Tea pot in room . Great on-site restaurant with numerous choices and reasonable price point . Good breakfast with hot and cold choices .

This 2.00€ charge per bike per night is a new and not so pleasant precedent .

The location is right at the center, besides the cathedral, so if you're looking for a place around the center, it's exactly the best location for it. The breakfast was very good and it came with the room. It looks like a real medieval inn.

The only thing I could mention right now is that when I stayed you had to pay 5 euro for the AC. Thankfully it was May and I could open the window to let the cool air in, but I expected the AC to be provided in a 4 star hotel. Plus the reception isn't 24h, so they can enable your AC only when they work.

This hotel is so cute and quaint. The rooms were comfortable, the location can’t be beat. The breakfast (which is included!) was wonderful. And the staff were so wonderful. I had an upset stomach when we checked in and I was visibly uncomfortable. I’d barely walked up to the desk when the woman working asked if I was ok. I explained I wasn’t feeling well. I walked away for a minute to tell my husband instructions for parking, and when I returned, she had some chamomile tea for me and told me she hopes I feel better. It was such a kind and welcoming gesture. Being sick away from home is miserable, but I felt cared for and comfortable and I am so grateful.

Very kind personnel, both the Germans and the ubiquitous Romanians. Good breakfast. Located in the very heart of Rothenburg (but, as the city centre is so small, you are everywhere within 5-7 minutes walking from the centre). Well heated in December and very clean.

Narrow double bed. I didn't measure it, but probably 1.20-1.30m wide; perhaps 1.40m, but I don't think so (had 1.40m at home until some years ago, and this felt distinctly narrower). Very soft mattress. Welcome water bottle is not complimentary, but costs 2.50 € - not important but an uselessly unpleasant touch.
