A FABULOUS hotel. I wish every hotel we stayed at was like Boutique Hotel Am Rathaus. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with the comforters also cloud-like. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The staff was kind and accomidating. There was parking available directly behind the hotel with elevator access to the rooms. The actual room was modern and clean with lovely lighting and windows. It was steps away from the Ulm Munster and right near the river. Exceptionally quiet street too. We wished we could have stayed longer! Every hotel needs to model what this hotel is doing! It was PERFECT and an exeptional value for the money. We stayed at 9 different hotels on our 2-week trip and this was by far our favorite.

In this hotel you immediately feel at home. The design is moderately modern while taking into account that the building itself " comes from the past times" Opposite the hotel is the town library in the shape of a triangle or a pyramide that fits in the general view of the old town. In the morning the view over the the square in front of the hotel with people going to work and postmen crossing the square gives an impression of calm.../ The furniture is nice, beds are comfortable. The resolution of the TV screen was better than average.
Unfortunately my colleague forgot her phone charger in the room that was not returned to her... neither she got the promised call form the reception to inform her on the situation. The price of the breakfast is a bit high but there are many possibilities around the hotel where to take breakfast.

The hotel was well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The staff were always welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is situated between the river and downtown, which made everything easily walkable.
The hotel is next to a bar so it can get loud at night. I don’t see this being an issue in the colder months as the windows will be closed. My husband and I had issue with the queen bed separating at night which made it a bit uncomfortable, but not a deal breaker.

the location is amazing, couldn't be better. Very quiet also, despite the fact that it is in the city center. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Perfect for a family of 4. The kids had their own bunkbeds in a separate room.
To not have a mini-fridge in the room and also not be able to store the kids milk in a fridge. They also couldn't provide ice or milk to my 2y old daughter (it was a holiday and everything as closed). The breakfast is super expensive for what it is. There was no way for heating my oat milk as they have no microwave, oven... They must improve their kitchen facilities.

The location was good for central city access. The customer service was very good and the staff was very accommodating in changing us to a room with a normal bathroom with a door. The breakfast was good.
It was very very noisy on the Friday night. Not the hotel's fault but you should be aware if you are staying over weekend that there is a cocktail bar right by the hotel that is very noisy with people standing outside talking loudly until late into the night. The bathroom in the first room assigned to use had see through glass doors so you would see the person in the shower or on the toilet. The second room was much nicer but only one of the radiators was working. The other two were not.

The room was very nice and centrally located. The building was cute. Check in and out was easy and online, we never actually talked to any staff (this is a good thing!). Great value for the price.
The only small note is the noise. There's a bar nearby playing music until ~2a on Friday and Saturday. You can also hear the upstairs guests walking around and dragging the furniture. We were ok, but did lose a little sleep some even ear plugs can't block these kinds of noise.

● Beautiful room in a historic building ● Kettle in the room to make tea ● Pretty, historical furniture that matches the building ● Great location ● Having a bathtub and the high quality soap was very nice
● As to be expected in an old building, the walls are very thin. I could hear my upstairs neighbor walking around ● Some light was flashing throughout the night, perhaps the fire alarm, which, of course, is important, but it was a bit annoying

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Great location. We were just using this as a stop off point but had a nice evening walking along the Danube and through the old town to stretch our legs before dinner and a long drive the next day. Breakfast was really good - loved the choice (especially the bread)!
Our stay coincided with the Euro Germany v Scotland game. V.noisy evening as Germany won and everyone was celebrating. Our bad, but it was ok once we closed the windows (just a little warm).

Downtown, right across from the modern Library, a few steps to City Hall, and around 300 meters from the Münster. Wonderful little hotel with old world charm, but all the amenities needed. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Very clean. I will definitely be back. And yes, I would recommend this to my best friend.
Parking spaces are very limited. You have to park in the parking garage nearby.

Very well located in the heart of Ulm. Nice and clean room. Dogs allowed in all areas including the breakfast dining room. Very friendly English speaking staff at reception but the lady overseeing breakfast was a little over officious. Secure parking at the rear of the hotel at an extra fee.
Our room overlooked the cafe/ bar area so it was quite noisy at night. No air con so had to have the window open and was too noisy to sleep. Closing the window cut out the noise but then it was too hot.
