Having only a two night trip to Kefalonia we chose to stay right in the centre of Argostoli, although I was concerned that this might be noisy. I need not have worried as the location of the Mouikis was absolutely perfect! The hotel is smartly presented and we were welcomed by Elaine(?) who proved to be charming and most helpful throughout our stay. we arrived before check-in time but as our room was nearly ready, we didn't have to wait long to be allowed in early. We had booked a seaview room and we were not disappointed. The room was spotlessly clean and opened out onto a balcony which looked across the road to the amazing view of the water, yachts and the land beyond. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet at night with no traffic noise at all. Breakfast was self-service buffet style with just a couple of cooked items, but there was enough selection of other items to start the day. As I said, the location is absolutely fantastic as it is within a couple of minute's walk to the waterfront where it was possible to see the turtles feeding around the fishing boats every morning. It is also close to a nice traffic-free shopping area, huge amount of restaurants and a short walk to the bus station for trips to other parts of the island. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, staff and cleanliness. We wish that we had spent more of our holiday in Kefalonia rather than Zakynthos!

If I am to be picky, the only thing I would say is that there wouldn't have been much storage space for a stay of several days as there was one small wardrobe with half of it taken up with spare bedding and just a couple of drawers, Also the shower was ok for us but it was quite a small corner unit. Don't expect a huge cooked selection at breakfast.

Excellent location, rooftop garden with hot tub. They upgraded our room and we had a huge room with a balcony we could have sunbathed on if we had stayed longer. We were in the town for one night only, and found the hotel perfect for cocktails nearby in the evening and then seeing the turtles in the morning! Breakfast was good, staff were friendly.

Had a kettle in room but no tea or coffee to use with it- small complaint and probably because we booked super last minute. Shower gel contained Methylisothiazolinone which many people are allergic to (me included) - again a super small complaint.

Beautiful hotel in Argostoli . Our room was small but very cosy and modern . The bed is a good size and extremely comfortable. Air conditioning is excellent .Bathroom is small but the shower is very good and we always had hot water .. Bathrobes and slippers are also provided . There is a TV with some English channels and plenty of plug sockets . The maid cleaned our room once a day and did an excellent job. Our balcony was very private with a fantastic view . It had two sun loungers with towels provided so we could spend time relaxing there. There is also a small table and chairs . Breakfast is up until 10.30 am each morning, and this is continential buffet style , they also have sausages, bacon and eggs etc . Plenty of choice for everyone. The rooftop terrace is so amazing ! The most incredible view of Argostoli and the harbour . They have tables and chairs and also some some sun loungers . There is a hot tub which I highly recommend. I did not want to get out! You really can't ask for a better view whilst relaxing in a hot tub! The bar on the terrace is open from 3pm until 11pm . Excellent service here from Joanna, who was very professional and friendly. We really enjoyed chatting to her and hope to see her again one day . The staff are all very hospitable and made us feel very welcome during our stay . Myself and my husband have been coming to Kefalonia for 17 years, but this was our first time staying in Argostoli . We really enjoyed being based here, and we will definitely stay at The Mouikis Hotel again .

The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the island. It has private parking (5euro/day - need reservation). The breakfast is reach but the same everyday. The rooms on the 3rd floor have an excellent sea view and have huge terrace.

The cleanliness has to be improved. There was hair in the room on the floor on check in day. There was a lot of dust on the headboard of the bed and in the wardrobe. There are not enough hooks for towels and bathrobe. The water from bathroom was leaking to the terrace. The coffee at breakfast is bad.

The hotel was very central and in a great location very close to shops, restaurants and attractions. It also offered breakfast, which was a great perk. The people at reception were very helpful.

The room had a bit of wear and tear. The shower head was loose and kept falling. The rooms were a little bit small, and the mattress was a bit firm. The options with the buffet breakfast were a bit limited.

The location of the hotel is perfect. With everything in argostoli accessible by foot and amenities are very close to the hotel. (Supermarket, pharmacy, etc.) The staff are very friendly with a 24/7 desk, which is great. We had daily room service. The breakfast had a range. With good variety. Definitely worth the room upgrade, to sea views it was beautiful looking over the water and having the views of the island. We can not fault the service we received - including the great communications before the trip.

The roof top/jacuzzi bar wasn't open - however, we do appreciate we arrived very early before peak season. (we were looking forward to using it). Shower is a little small - but manageable.

The location was exactly what we wanted. It is walking distance from city center and seaport and bay. You can easily drive to some very nice beaches! If going in August like we did, I would recommend reserving a parking spot for an extra 5 euros a day. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was nice and the roof top bar was spectacular!

The shower was adequate but a little small. Nothing else to dislike. awesome place to stay in Argostólion!

Freezer didn't work in fridge . You need to provide fridge with working freezer . Rooms not sound proof and guests kept slamming doors and talking in corridor with their doors open

Hotel is centrally located; approx 1 minute walk to the harbour and is opposite where the fishing boats tie up in the morning so its a great spot if you want to see turtles in the morning The roof garden gives great views across Argostoli. We had a sea view room with great view of the harbour. Staff were friendly and helpful

The shower was tiny

We love everything about staying at Mouikis Hotel. The location is perfect. It’s very quiet. The interior has a luxe feel. Comfortable bed and pillows. Quality linens. Good breakfast. Wonderful rooftop garden with loungers, jacuzzi, showers and loungers. Wonderful views of Argostoli Harbor. I recommend all my friends to stay here.
