Every morning started with the most beautiful basket of breakfast delivered right to our door fresh coffee, juices, and an array of delicious treats. The highlight for me was the Greek pastries. Such a thoughtful and exceptional way to begin each day in Athens simple, authentic, and absolutely delightful. From start to finish, our stay at Alkima Athens was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond from organising cars to and from the airport, happily storing our luggage while we explored the Greek Islands, and offering top-notch recommendations that made our time in the city seamless. Combined with the beautiful daily breakfast basket and warm hospitality, Alkima truly felt like a home away from home. Couldn’t have asked for a better Athens experience!

The hotel is small, but perfectly proportioned and very well equipped and fitted out (the shower was great, the beds comfortable, the aircon was efficient. The roof terrace area is a nice touch - the plunge pool was very welcome in the sweltering Athens July heat and a nice area to retreat to (with great acropolis views!) Alkima Hotel is in a good location - walkable to all the key sights but not in the middle of the tourist hubbub. The staff were absolutely fantastic- really friendly and helpful. Our teenage daughter wasn’t feeling very well when we were staying and the reception team were so helpful, and went above and beyond to help us.

Nothing, it was all great. If we come back to Athens we’d definitely choose to stay here again!

All staff were friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a coffee machine and cold drinking water in fridge. The swimming pool on the roof was empty during my stay. So cannot give any feedback on swimming pool. All bars, restaurants and tavernas are only 10-15 min walk.

Small boutique hotel probably renovated 5 years age; overpriced, maybe because of the summer season. Hotel is located in very small street, it’s very dark to walk at night if you are on your own, although people say it’s a safe. There is no concierge or receptionist at night time. Although they leave late around 10pm it’s still a bit strange especially if you arrive at the middle of night or early morning taxi drop you off in the dark. It’s safer to ask taxi driver to wait till you get in.

We stayed one night coming into Athens and came back after our island hopping as we head back to the USA. The front desk woman is wonderful! She helped us with airport transport and mapped us how to walk into the local neighborhood for a great dinner and walking around. We were tired after 8 days in other Greek islands so we just wanted to relax! It’s a very cute hotel the room was great for 3 people. We had a lovely patio! The rooftop is awesome. You can see the Acropolis! We looked at night and for breakfast. The breakfast! The provide a lovely breakfast with fresh juices, cappuccino and French press coffee. Croissants, cheeses and smoked turkey, yogurt, local honey. All delicious! Great way to start our long journey back to the states!

A couple negatives. Our safe didn’t work. We couldn’t get the fan to turn on. The room was cool enough so it wasn’t about the temperature but I like a ceiling fan. And…the shower drain didn’t properly drain so water got EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. We called the wonderful lady at desk and she sent someone to clean it. Not a deal breaker…still LOVED this hotel but after a long day…I really wanted a nice hot shower and because the drain was defective…you could only take a quick shower.

The property is well located with public transport nearby. The property has a stunning Acropolis view from the rooftop. The owner’s a very kind lady and welcomed us with open arms. She was very clear with the communication and proactively helped us with all the details prior check in as well as after checking in. The hotel staff is lovely too. We had an early checkout, we informed the lady at the reception and a taxi was booked for us immediately. To our surprise, the taxi was outside the hotel well before time and waited for us kindly. Overall experience was really nice. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Athens.

Really liked the idea of breakfasts where you choose what you want to eat from a given list - although maybe this could be digitalised for ease and to reduce paper waste? Staff were fantastic and very helpful with any questions and guidance. Location was also brilliant in walkable distance from all the key sights and activities with a number of restaurants and bars just around the corner.

Not much, if anything we could use the pool/tub as it was pretty chilly but it was only late March when we visited.

The hotel and rooms are very clean, and the staff is both helpful and approachable. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options, with guests pre-selecting their choices the night before. You can enjoy your meal in your preferred setting—on the rooftop, in the lobby, or in your room. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a 4-minute walk from Psyrri Square and 7 minutes from the Monastiraki metro station. It’s conveniently close to popular tourist attractions while being tucked away in a quiet area.

The location is quiet and still close to the main attractions. However the neighborhood is quite empty, with a paid parking area, a few 3-4 story residential buildings, a church, and a mix of older and vacant structures. The gym facilities are somewhat limited in options, which is worth keeping in mind.

The personell in Alkima was probably the best I've ever encountered in any hotels ever. These kind of friendliness and helpfulness is hard to come by and I was superiorly suprised when the extremely high bar set by the first receptionist was carried on by both subsequent ones. Rooftop view to Akropolis and having breakfast on the the said rooftop was also relatively cool.

The rooftop pool was slightly cold, but as it was november I was warned about that by staff, but the norseman in me still refused to believe it. It was swimmable, but would not have coctails in in. Also some neibourouring houses are in rather sorry state.

We spent 4 lovely days here and it was very relaxing! The rooms were spacious and immaculate. The yoga wall was our favourite! The roof terrace is quiet with a beautiful view and you can enjoy some snacks or a fruit smoothie from their menu - they are delicious! Breakfast was healthy and a variety to choose from. I loved we could pick where to have our breakfast in the boutique hotel :) Lastly, the staff were amazing! There were three lovely ladies who were always so help and kind! Thank you for such a welcoming stay!

Place was well appointed, modernly updated and comfortable. I loved that the room had a ceiling fan, which I cannot live without at home. Bathroom and shower facilities were really nice. Also has a nice rooftop area with a dip pool and a lovely view of the acropolis -especially at night. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. Location looked a bit sketchy at first but it’s actually a short walk to the Monastiriki and some other quaint little areas for food and shopping.

Street is so narrow our first driver could not get us in front of the hotel, so had to walk a short distance. Since this hotel has a wellness focus, the included breakfast was a bit on the light side but tasty. Also no bar or entertainment in the hotel.
