The building, passing the codes - all was well organized; the staff, especially Eleni was amazing and taking care for us. We got lots of guidance about local places and all the help we needed. If we could rate staff '11' out of 10 we would do so. Amartment is well equipped with fridge, Nesspresso machine, iron, etc. A/c works perfectly. Also Metro station is only 150 m away, only 2 stops from Syntygma. Place is recommended for comfort, friendly approach and perfect location, value for money.

The only small minus is noise in the neighberhood but its only Friday-Saturday and the windows are double for noise reduction. We slept ok.

Very kind and accommodating staff. Large, modern room and strong air conditioning. It’s right next to the train station so it was incredibly easy to get to and from the airport. There are a few mini marts nearby so it was easy to get drinks and snacks near the hotel. There’s a lift, though small, so it was easy to get our bags to the room. Shower had decent pressure and the bed was comfortable enough.

If you’re a light sleeper, you’ll definitely need earplugs. There’s a club across from the hotel that was blasting music until around 2am. The room we were in had two layers of soundproofing doors/windows to the balcony so that quieted most of it, but it’s definitely still noticeable when you’re trying to go to sleep. Noise from the hallway in the hotel is also quite noticeable since the doors are made of metal, so anyone going in and out of their rooms or cleaning staff was really easily heard. The room had earplugs, so it was fine for us in the end.

Athenian Spirit while at first glance might seem distant from the city center, but in reality it is actually 10 minutes walk away from Monastraki - and if you don’t fancy walking, it is a minute walk away from the M3 metro line station, Kerameikos. My room was spacious with a nice full bathroom, a nice balcony to enjoy my morning coffee, comfy beds and a fully functional mini kitchen. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had so much fun practicing my Greek with Eleni at the front desk. Her bubbly and kind personality really added to the experience. Χάρηκα πολύ Ελένη!

My only complaint would be the drain in the shower drains the water a bit slow.

Check-in was so smooth. We realized in the taxi there that we needed a code to get early. Took all of 3 mins to get it, that's how responsive they were! The unit was clean and modern. Loved the room's private terrace and the building's rooftop. The staff was great! I can't recall her name, but the attendant was so very kind to us everytime we came in or out. The host also gave great recommendations of places to see based on our asks. The location was perfect - less than a block from the train and restaurants. About a 40 min walk from the furthest we ventured off to (2nd train stop). You can get there from the airport even, or the port.

It was smaller than I thought, but definitely not an issue. The a/c was hard for me to figure out, but they left instructions and checked in about it. Wish a later checkout a possible. We wanted noon but apparently not possible.

One of the best accommodations in terms of price/quality ratio that I’ve had the chance to visit. The only minor criticism, somewhat paradoxically, is about the excessive cleanliness – specifically the scent. The entire room was beautifully cleaned and fragranced before our stay. Even the wardrobe was fragranced so intensely that the scent lingered on our clothes even after washing. 99% of people probably won’t mind, but for us migraine sufferers and those allergic to fragrance ingredients, it’s a nightmare :-) Just adding this as a humorous note to an otherwise flawless stay. The facilities and location were fantastic, as was the mini apt. The area was relatively quiet, and it was very close to a subway. The place was recently renovated or built new. It was nice, and for the price, it certainly exceeded my expectations. The bed was comfortable. The balcony was nice too. We were very satisfied with this place.

The only issue we experienced was the heat, which was set way too low. The operation of the control was confusing, although we eventually figured it out. The written instructions were not really accurate. For some, the location might pose a challenge if you want to be in the central area with all the tourist things. We purposefully stay in this particular area.

The staff was very welcoming and they did the extra to ensure our stay was pleasant. The room was cleaned every other day, with fresh towels, water and coffee replenishments. The location is great, next to the metro station and a lot of cafes and taverns around. It's a walking distance from Monastiraki and Plaka.

The only problem was that Friday - Sunday there were very noisy parties in a building across the square that went late into the night. The double door provide a lot of protection from the noise, and the room is equipped with ear plugs, but you can still hear it, unfortunately.

We stayed 2 nights a Monday & Tuesday . The Hotel was clean , modern & a few hundred metres from the metro. Cafes & restaurants close by. Room was super clean , aircon great & was equipt with small fridge , small cooking hob & all utensils should you wish to cook a meal + espresso coffee maker ... Nice ! Wonderful lady at check-in / front desk Elena was so helpful & nice , she always has suggestions to improve our stay ... Thankyou. Elena recommended Kanella Restaurant close by & was fabulous & great value. Also close by Mister Panda Convenience Store & Mary's Bakery ...all within 150 metres.

We loved our stay .. perfect ! But I guess be warned ,it's a party area & by the looks of the huge nightclubs all around the accommodation it might get noisy Thurs - Sunday .

Absolutely loved the location of Athenian Spirit. And, with that comes the loud music from the nightclubs nearby. They provide earplugs which is so nice. Also, the other amazing thing about this location is the proximity to the metro station and great restaurants!! Very clean and spacious rooms! Would stay again!

Because we were a group, our van/bus wasn't able to drop us off or pick us up in front of the Athenian Spirit. We had to walk both times about a quarter mile. Wasn't horrible and the area didn't feel unsafe, we just saw the people partying when we left very early in the morning to catch our ferry. The one thing that was difficult (that we must have missed in the orientation) was that there is only one key for the room so for the rooms that were sharing they didn't have a way to get in the room if the other roommate had the key. Luckily the staff was very accommodating in helping her get into the room. And, they also mentioned leaving the key in the lockbox so that way who ever came back to the hotel first could get into the room without aa problem (we didn't think of that!).
