The garden is huge, filled with plants, truly amazing. Bar has great drinks at fair prices. Everything is sparklingly clean. Rooms have high ceilings and big windows, beds are comfy with blackout curtains that cover 100% of the exposed bed area. The staff is exceptional and beyond expectations, they're the ones that make this a must stay. Will definitely visit again.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, airconditioned and ours had an ensuite which was a real bonus. Also, the hostel has an easy-going vibe. The staff is very friendly, and the common space in the backyard is a nice place to hang out and meet other hostel guests. And the hostel provides tips for local dining and can help with the organization of some tours, which felt very traveller-friendly.

The location of the hostel is not ideal. Though it is only a 7 minute walk to one of the metro stations and from there only 10 minutes into the fun neighborhood of Plaka, the area you have to walk through does not feel very friendly (and you are recommended to not walk there alone at night or go into a certain direction from the hostel). Additionally, the hostel is located next to an incredibly busy street which provided some noise during the night. Ear plugs are recommended. All in all, though, I still enjoyed my stay!

It is a beautifully furnished little hostel and the welcome was very good. They gave excellent recommendations for local eateries.

The wooden bunks were a bit creaky and getting the air temperature in the room right was difficult. I didn't sleep well. I think the bathroom flooded a bit too and wondered why more effort isnt made to resolve these comfort issues when the rest of the place was so good. I am glad i stayed there but i just wish hostel owners would prioritise the basics - bed and bedding, air temperature , bathroom function. Kitchen comes next and makes a big difference too but here the kitchen was fine i think. Afterall a good sleep is our main need not a free drink at the bar - which i forgot to have.

It's located near Omonoia square, very close to bus station and metro. Common areas are open for most of the day and spacious, there is bar where you can order drinks and meet up. Free fruit, coffee and tea in the kitchen, furthermore in the dormitory rooms each bed has a charging point, light and curtains that give privacy.

I had a fantastic stay here, I met such a lovely group of other solo travellers of different ages and it is easy to get to the old town by walking. The hostel was modern and beautifully presented, it's not too big and it had an outside bar at night so it was easy to make friends. Massive thank you to Tom and Alex working there, it was nice to meet you! I had my birthday there and they went above and beyond to make it an extra special day for me with a balloon explosion on my bunk and a bottle of prosecco to share with my new friends at night. If I find myself in Athens again I will be sure to head back to Baloo Hostel.

This hostel has an artistic, vintage vibe and is perfect for socializing and meeting new people. The rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The bed was super comfortable, and the atmosphere made the whole stay really special!

Nothing really it was all perfect

Its a beautiful boutique hostel with personality, away from standard 'cold' chain hostels. Each corner was decorated and designed with love, and it's nice to hear about the birth of this hostel by his owners. Incredible variety of tea for breakfast:) (coffee also available). The patio and the bar outside: an excellent meeting point to socialize with other guests. Big rooms, comfy beds with curtains for privacy and storage space under the bed for luggage and clean Bathrooms. Location near the metro station Omonia.

strong recommend you stay here for your trip in Athens hostel manager is really kind and friendly ! room is really clean ! provide free coffee and tea, amazing kitchen with well organized! heat and air conditioner in room , shower room is very clean water is warm and strong quiet place and barely hear noise after you close the room door ! if you want to travel by train to Meteora, 10 mins walking distance to train station if you want to walk to town, 5 mins walk to metro what else i can say~ really really great experience to stay here!

This is a brand new hostel, all equipments are new, I love it a lot! Nice paintings in hostel made me feel like in a art gallery. I had very comfortable rest during my 3 nights stay. :) The owner Thomas is very nice and takes good care of all guests. The location is in city center, very easy to access to metro line, shops and major tourist spots.

Fantastic old building which has kept its character but offers modern comfortable accommodation with excellent bathrooms and great outside bar and garden area- Great wall paintings by hosts dad!! city centre location just 30 mins walk from acropolis. Host Tomas welcoming friendly and very helpful especially as I arrived with a broken foot after a motorcycle accident!! Very good value for money👍

pay off for being in city centre is noisy and lots of homeless, drunks etc
