Hotel Katerina was really nice. The staff was so welcoming and accomodating. After long days of travel, it was nice to arrive to such a beautiful place. It is within 2 minute walking distance to the metro which was so handy to get to places around Athens. In this aspect, the location was awesome!

There's not anything I didn't like about the hotel or the wonderful people working there. However, the only thing I didn't like was the area around the hotel. While I felt completely safe and welcomed at the hotel, I did not venture out to far. Keeping in mind, I was travelling alone.

I like the hotel, it is small, a bit old-ish, but nice. The room was clean, and cleaning personnel was good. The reception team was very nice and hospitable. Breakfast was also quite nice. The hotel is close to the metro station. Very cool elevators.

I did not like the location of parking, the parking itself is good, not big, but quiet safe for a car, closed perimetr, video controlled area. The reception team supports parking. Hovewer, the location is very frustrating. You need to park a car and then walk, just 1.5 blocks to enter the hotel, and you will do that through the dark and dirty place, with homeless people... It is not an issue of the hotel. This is, in general, issue of the city, main streets with light and ok-ish, but small streets look not safe, dirty, homeless, drunk people, drugs...

I was in Athens for a week for a conference and enjoyed my stay very much! The staff was lovely, the room was comfortable, the a/c was fantastic for my American/perimenopausal standards. The breakfast had a great selection and really good. I was able to borrow an iron without any trouble. I felt very safe and comfortable when I was in the hotel. The location is great, close to the metro and there is a pharmacy and a mini mart across the street. Oh, and a decent coffee place. It's also walking distance to the main attractions of Athens. I did not mind the walk myself, and felt safe walking into town at midnight to go dancing. The shower has water pressure that dreams are made of.

The walls are very thin. My next door neighbor was violently ill one morning and I could hear everything. If you're a light sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs. But I am also a hermit who lives at home with noise-cancelling headphones on all the time, so I am delicate in this way, haha. While the water pressure in the shower was phenomenal, getting in and out required a plan as there were steps and railings to navigate. I did see a regular walk in shower though, so if you have mobility issues, I recommend messaging the staff and asking for a walk in shower.

Good Breakfast, free parking, enough restaurants around, close to the city center and metro line.

NO mosquito nets......and unfortunately many mosquitos on that area.

Location was great. Note that the hop on and off bus has a stop (#12) opposite the hotel so no need to walk for 15 minutes to find a hop on and off bus station. Subway was also literally around the corner.

On the photos I saw that the hotel has a beautiful view of the Acropolis, however this view is not from a terrace but rather from some specific rooms. This was very disappointing as I was expecting to be able to see the Acropolis from a common area of the hotel and get some night pictures of this Acropolis during our stay.

The staff was really friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, the rooms were clean. We were also able to keep our bags at reception until the afternoon after checking out, which made sightseeing on our last day in Athens much easier. The location was not super central but easily accessible through public transport. Lots of places to eat or buy snacks within walking distance.

We stayed in two connecting rooms as a family of 5, which was convenient, but they were honestly quite small individually.

My stay was satisfactory. The hotel was clean but dated. The room was small but had plenty of space for one person. The bathroom was small but clean. Breakfast was standard continental fare - I will say the sweet items were exceptional. Very close to the metro. Room was fairly quiet except for the neighbours on occassion but that is beyond the hotel's control. The lifts were very small - not good if you are claustrophobic.

The area isn't the most appealing. I had no negative interactions thankfully but I can see how it might be off-putting to families or even younger solo females. Overall the stay was fine - not amazing but not terrible. I'm very much of the basic traveller mind-set - a clean bed and a shower and I'm happy.

I stayed at this beautiful place twice on my trip. Once at the start and once at the end of my time in Greece. It was wonderful and I would stay there again, should I ever get back to Greece. The location is awesome. I rode the metro often and I was only 2 - 3 minutes from the metro line.

Really nothing except I didn't spend too much time right by the hotel. I didn't see too many places to eat close by. But, the hotel has breakfasts, etc.

Great service from the staff. The room was always clean and in good condition. The hotel is next to a metro station, so even if it's not exactly on the city center, you can reach it in 10 minutes. It's in a very active zone, but the room itself was quiet.

Not a fault of the hotel, but the area surrounding it is quite awful. There are a few restaurants nearby, but to get to the good ones you need to walk 10 minutes through some really awful and unsafe looking streets.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Katerina. From the first “welcome” to the last “goodbye” the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and plentiful, and my room was very comfortable. It was also cleaned and prepared to a high standard every day. The secure parking was good and easy to use. There are good restaurants five to seven minutes walk from the hotel, and the tourist areas are within a 15 minute walk. Taxis can be called by the reception.

Nothing much! True, the lifts are very small but they are functional.
