The wifi is great, and I like this location for the value with such proximity to the Metaxourgio Metro. The Bread Factory is a nice 24/7 place to get something good to eat and there a few nice family-owned restaurants nearby

There is a homeless issue and drug use in the area that need to be addressed. I think the area is improving in general though, and I always felt safe notwithstanding the issues here

Hotel is great, staff were fantastic. Basic facilities, but that's expected and everything worked fine etc. Perfectly clean, no problems there and the lift worked too. The area its located is very central and has good transport links, but it is not a good neighbourhood and this isn't somewhere for families to stay. I was a man travelling alone and I wasn't hassled by anyone, but there are a lot of potentially intimidating people in the area and people openly using drugs at all times of day on the surrounding side streets. Its not somewhere you want to take your children.

The hotel itself was absolutely spot on for the price, it was a cheap booking in the off season and did exactly as expected, its only the surrounding area that's the problem.

Basic but everything more than perfect! What struck me most: the friendly personnel ! Each of one of the 3 people I met at the receptiob desk were extremely friendly and professional. I had a very good night sleep (so much that I overslept my alarm). It was such a good deal and so much value for its money.

Although very central and well located (2 min on foot to central metro station of Metaxourgeio). 20min on foot to Archeological Museum and 25min to Akropolis with a great walk through the city centre), the backstreet of Metaxourgeio the hotel is in, might come across as seedy and gritty at night. Yet this is a feeling not a fact (had no problem whatsoever) and is an inherent part of Athens' soul. After all, this city and the Greek have been through rough times...

Neighborhood was definitely urban. The area was a bit up and down block to block , but not bad, just a city center. But once you step inside it was clean, bright, and the staff was amazing. I arrived on a very early bus and even though the hotel was full they stored my luggage as I had breakfast nearby and as soon as someone in my room category checked out they immediately had it cleaned and readied for me and it was spotless. A very nice hotel and I would stay again It definitely seemed nicer than a 2 star hotel.

Nothing was bad.

Just what I needed for a weekend. An affordable small basic double room, clean, good shower, good wifi, comfortable bed and very quiet. Friendly staff as well. 3 min to metro station Metaxorgio. Walking distance to many areas of Athens City Center. I would stay again!

The area is awful, just like many other reviews are mentioning. Full of homeless people, drug addicts, rubbish, graffiti etc. I wouldn't say I felt scared, it just didn't create a nice feeling within me. However, there are many hotels, bars, restaurants and shops in the area plus the police are present, so ironically enough it's full of tourists and locals. But it is a depressing side of beautiful Athens.

It was the best hotel for an unforgettable trip. And the best surprise was the staff, very professional with room to make me feel as I was at home. Very well located, only three minutes walking from Metaxourgio subway entrance by Karaiskaki square Very clean, comfortable, and functional. Just want to say thanks, girls, for making my stay so smooth and for the familiar vibe. I will be back, soon!!

I liked everything, for a two star they were very very nice, the girls at the reception were super kind and helpful. They even left sleepers in my room, nice touch!

The location but this isn't the hotel's fault. Just take into consideration that if you're travelling alone and you are a woman, the streets around the hotel at night aren't very nice. Other than that, nothing

Location was good because of its proximity to a metro station and the presence of helpful police officers in the area who assisted us with finding the correct direction to walk after we exited the metro station.

It would have been helpful to have a lightweight blanket on the bed in addition to the top sheet because the fan of the air conditioner continuously blew the cool air on my side of the bed.

I am happy to stay here for 2 days. The hotel is only 3 minutes walk from the metro station. It is easy to get to everywhere from there. The room I stayed in was upstairs, with a terrace and was comfortable. It was quiet and calm at night for 2 days. The best thing was that the 2 lady staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone said dangerous streets. But if you choose the right street, you can reach the hotel from a safe place.

The staff was really nice and accommodative, helping you relax by answering your questions and helping you locate the subway and generally the directions to go, so not to get lost. It's just a quick 4 stops to the Acropolis subway station. Georgia and Kostadina were amazing with me and my wife, as well as the blonde lady from the breakfast, whom we didn't get her name, but she was great as well! And there was one young lady working there that had an amazing English accent and she helped us in the breakfast as well! Fantástykos! Would stay again if/when visiting Athens.

With the hotel nothing was wrong. The area where it is located is close enough from the historical area. There are some rough areas close by, but, it is not their fault, and, if you have lived and traveled in big big Metropolitan cities then you will be fine.
