We were on the top floor with an excellent view of the acropolis. Surprisingly the hotel upgraded our room without any request which was appreciated. The breakfast had a huge variety of choices which we certainly enjoyed. The staff was extremely pleasant and went out of the way to ensure our comfort and requests. Relationship manager, Ms. Niki was exceedingly knowledgeable to offer perfect places to visit and made bookings to exceptional restaurants which we enjoyed profusely. One pleasant incident we must mention is about the honesty of the Room House Keeping Staff. We had forgotten a large amount of cash on top of the dresser and found it exactly there completely intact when we returned in the evening. Thank you.
There was nothing we didn't like.

Our room on level 8 was very nice clean and modern, with good sound proofing, spacious showers and, very importantly, excellent Air conditioning over the summer heat. Breakfast buffet was on the rooftop terrace and very enjoyable with a good view towards the Parthenon (in the distance but still clear) and over the vista of Athens generally in many directions. Same restaurant has a very good view over Athens by night including to the Parthenon. Check in staff were very friendly and fluent in English.
Roof top pool was OK but surprisingly small and not much room around it, despite the promotional photo of it. The main street entrance to the hotel is in a small and unremarkable back street and not well signposted, so is quite hard to find the first time you go there. The hotel is located in a part of Athens that is a fair way away from the main tourist areas, but there is a good local metro station. Otherwise a very nice place to stay, good value for money and would happily return.

Room was really really big, lovely staff. One member of staff gave us a great restaurant recommendation that we liked. It's in a central location but the location could be better as the surrounding was a bit dull. We tried to walk around and went down some dodgy streets. So we just got the tour bus everywhere, but it is about 15 mins walk from ermou street and other popular places but I wouldn't recommend you walk.
Location was central but still a few dodgy streets around. I wish I stayed even more central like Plaka because I love walking around, but I guess if we tried walking around there we might have run into some dodgy streets too ..never know.

The property is close to lots of shopping and restaurants. I needed a taxi to travel one way about 2 hours out of Athens and the cab was arranged and waiting at the curb. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, yogurt, veg, juices…extensive. The restaurant directly across from the hotel is excellent. When we were there, there was a trio playing Greek music and on another occasion some Greek dancing broke out. Very nice.
We didn’t like that the pool hours were from 11am to 7 pm. We like to relax after a day of sightseeing with a dip in the pool but with it closing at 7 we didn’t get to use it. Very disappointing since the pool heavily influenced where we booked. Most hotel pools are open until at least 10pm or later.

Excellent hotel. Clean and cozy. Very good breakfast and on the roof of the hotel with an amazing view. The bar on the roof is fun and has a good atmosphere and music. The rooms are spacious and there is a closet in the room and a small refrigerator. The place is relatively close to the center - a fifteen minute walk or a 5 minute taxi ride. The pool is small but very nice. The spa is excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel staff is very positive and nice and helpful in everything - they allowed us to check out late in the afternoon at no extra charge. And at the reception there is the lovely employee named FAY who helped with every request with a smile and amazing service. Highly recommended.
Everything was very good.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond—upgrading our rooms and remaining incredibly helpful right up until the very last minute of our stay. They even extended our late check-out until 6pm to accommodate our evening flight, which made a big difference. One of the rooms was thoughtfully adapted to suit our children’s needs, including an extra bed added with no fuss at all. The complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival was a lovely touch after a long journey. Breakfast each morning—served with stunning views of the Acropolis—was a special way to start the day, with food options to suit all tastes. While the location is slightly removed from the heart of downtown, it’s only about a 10-minute walk, which we quickly got used to and actually enjoyed. For evenings when we didn’t feel like venturing far, there’s a fantastic and popular restaurant just in front of the hotel serving delicious food. Overall, a great stay made even better by the attentive staff and thoughtful extras.
No real complaints, the kids mentioned the WiFi is a bit slow.

Staff and hotel was good, the breakfast had a lobley choice and a fantastic view from the restaurant.
Had a suite room 501 and the shower drain was dirty and was missing sealant, a maintance job that has gone unfixed for too long. There was also a table with a chair however no mirror, there was a tv which seemed completely out of place. No where to do hair and make-up which is a must for any hotel, a mirror with a nearby plug socket and a table is a basis requirement. Also coffee in the room wasn't replaced. I was also asked when leaving what score I would give, I said 8 and was pushed as to why not a 10. Even more reason to give this hotel an 8.

We had a wonderful stay at the Wyndham Grand Athens. Our accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed, but the highlight of our stay was definitely the rooftop pool—the views of the Acropolis from up there are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset! It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Athens. A special thank you to the reception staff, who were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay. They went out of their way to accommodate our family’s needs and made us feel very welcome. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens!
The pool’s temperature is a little low for younger children.

The location is the best. We were upgraded to an exec room which was great and on 7th floor so very little noise from the street. The shower was not working and the smaller shower could not be hung up so that was annoying but everything else was perfect. It was extremely close to the metro, the room was nice, big and quiet and the staff were awesome. The pool area was extremely overcrowded so we barely used it and there were not enough sunbeds. View to Acropoli was fantastic.
Shower was not working well and pool was overcrowded with people taking the sunbeds even tho they were not there….

Initially my wife and I were hesitant as the reviews were not good. But we took a chance and much to our surprise it was fantastic...the view of the acropolis was fantastic, but what made the trip so good was the great staff...trust me staff can make or break a hotel, and the boys and girls at Wyndam are exceptional, especially the lot at the roof top bar...they go out of their way to assist, and are just good natured...the front office people too were very helpful
the location was a little off but then how else can you get the acropolis view....
